Pros Wix is the website design that outshines it's competition. It's ease of use and ability to autosize pages is impressive. it makes you look like a pro. Cons It isn't for a novice and unless you've used wordpress or other programs it can be a daunting task for beginners. A little more help would better serve their customers in the sections. October 26, 2024 5.0 I love that I can easily add things to my site, like blogs and an online store or member-area. Also, the prebuilt-in SEO tools have been effective in increasing my website visibility on search engines. Pros I have been using Wix for designing and maintaining my site. Both its drag-and-drop editor and user-friendly interface are among one of the easiest in website designing that many beginners can ever come across. They have a lot of templates so I was able to pretty much customize my website the way that it needed to look. Cons I found it all good and working. But pricing could be a bit less so that small company or individual can give it a try. Pros Wix is a great website builder that allows you to make your site function the way you want it to. Whether you choose to use templates or customize it, this software lets you do it all. Cons Some of the native functions are very good and complete but some are limited and does not allow you to customize it, so you have to go for plugins, that sometimes could be harder to learn. I did not like that and it has happened a few times now. I don't like the increase in fees and neither do my clients. Pros It's easy to work on, except when they make stupid updates that make it take 60 minutes to fix something that should have taken 5 mins. Cons This new update moved things I had already placed. It changed where I wanted things and wouldn't let me put them back. It added spacer which was not needed or wanted. TERRIBLE update. Thank god I was able to turn it off, but I had to waste another 25 minutes on chat to find it. That's 90 minutes thereabouts wasted as a result of the pointless update. Wix has outstanding right-click context menus, too. Most other builders do nothing with right clicks, except launch browser options that don't help with the site-building process. Wix lets you use right-clicks to change images or edit text. Pros It is my favourite thing about Wix that everything is drag and drop. The design of a page is incredibly easy. The best thing about it is that you don't need to know how to code. Wix provides a wide range of high-quality templates for you to choose from, and you can alter it as you please. Cons The main issue I have with Wix is the price when compared to other Web hosts out there. The contract also auto renews without warning, which is very frustrating. I hate that you can only really edit your website on a laptop or desktop computer. I always found Wordpress to be difficult for someone that knows nothing about website design and management and Wix was a better fit. Pros I find Wix to be super easy. I can quickly navigate to different areas, modify my layouts and the templates and widgets are nice to have. The SEO recommendations are also a plus. Cons I would like to see more AI features. I think an area of opportunity would be to bring in some AI to SEO recommendations like I have seen with other platforms like LinkedIn.
