Granted we had a very small budget so that could be why. Pros Creates a generic website for a basic user. Nothing fancy, just bare bones basic. Cons It seemed to have trouble with anything above the very bare minimum tools and details. Features weren’t great. When you spend more time spending the fine print that could easily be spent making your website, you have to weight the pros and cons of your experience. Pros It's a free website for beginners that's a relatively no hassle experience. Just keep in mind what you are getting for "free" Cons "Free" is limiting in a way that can be disappointing if you look into it. October 31, 2024 4.0 It's affordable options are a really big plus, overall, I think if you want to build a simple website it will do the job but if you want like a ecommerce site, it may not be the best fit. Pros It's a website builder that I was using to help me promote my work and a way to attract leads coming in. Cons I think overall it's pretty good just that with the design sometimes, I don't like it and don't have a lot of options to choose from. Switched from [Squarespace](https://www.capterra.com/p/143461/Squarespace/) I thought Wix would be better than SquareSpace but once I started using it, I thought that I made a mistake as SquareSpace seems to have more structure and Wix is easy to use but the templates are way better on Squarespace. Free options are also good. Pros Wiz offers a good solution for creating a website from a template. There are many free templates to choose from. In Wix you can do basically everything. It is YOU who decides where that one button goes. Does it belong in the top left corner or should be on the bottom of the center? You decide! This is definitely for people who have a clear vision of how things should look and want to unleash their creative side. Cons One of the biggest cons is also one of the biggest pros. It is simply that you can do nearly everything and there are nearly no limits set for you. When just starting out and having no clue of how a website should look it can quickly become overwhelming. When your site also reaches a certain size you may face some bugs in the UI that can become quite a pain. January 26, 2025 3.0 I think Wix is fine for a general website build and does a satisfactory job. I still prefer using Webflow or Carrd to build simple sites as needed and think they are more intuitive and easy to integrate everything you need. Pros Relatively easy to use, updates quickly, good format for most sites. Cons Plugins and 3rd party extensions arent as robust. Mobile is hard to update.
