Pros Its drag-and-drop editor, making it easy even if you don't have coding skills. I also like the wide range of templates, apps, and features that cater to different businesses, small one's, personal blog, or online store. Additionally, the platform's integrated SEO tools and analytics which are very helpful for optimizing site performance and visibility. Cons If you decide to switch to a different template, you have to rebuild your site from scratch, which can be quite time-consuming. November 11, 2024 5.0 It has been a mixed experience with Wix. It is by no means as sleek as some of it's competitors, like SquareSpace, but it is far more sleek and simple to use than Word Press. You need no web building experience to figure out Wix and it allows you to make attractive websites. As a user experience, it isn't as flexible as I would like it, as it can be difficult to arrange things nicely. I would say it is mid tier for someone who has an okay eye for design but can't build a website. I wouldn't recommend it for large, complex sites, but it certainly does the job for simple portfolios or landing pages. Pros It is user friendly, so anyone can make a website, even with limited design skills. Cons It isn't the most flexible product. They also changed the storage limits and I will need to fully redesign the website to adapt. Cons There are some custimizations that we'd like to see, but they are minor things. I reached out to their Coustmer service a few times for directions on how to do certain things. Cons I didn't realize a few hidden costs that were involved in order to make the website. When working on the actual creation of a website, I found it difficult to navigate size changes to images, basically laying out the website needs to be better, use more industry standard tool, like Illustrator or similar does. I do have more to learn though, so I am sure part of the difficulty is a learning curve problem on my side. Pros The ease of starting a website. However, once in the website, adjusting the layout is not that intuitive. Cons The actual creation of the website tools can be "clunky" and not all that intuitive. Review Source RMM Rizza Mae M. I hate it when I need to contact customer service and businesses either don't have an option to talk to a human or they make it extremely difficult to find the phone number. Pros I like the new Wix studio interface that is a mix between a standard website builder and Wix's customizable features. The new interface is simplified and easier to use than the past editor. I also like that it is an all in one system that accepts payments, has an online store, email marketing and even a digital course feature. I also love that Wix Studio is set up for your website business to be successful with the option to sell templates, create a client click, or get revenue from your clients wix packages. Cons I don't like how visitors need to create an account before purchasing your online course. I think it's one extra step that might be the reason someone wouldn't want to buy your course. The editor can be slow and glitchy if you don't have fast internet. You might need to hop on and off the editor a couple of times to edit your website. Review Source SR Shelby R. Changing hosts/web design platforms is a HUGE commitment and undertaking, Wix made it easy enough to do with 1 cup of coffee. Cons When I made my website in 2015, I first used Wix and it was definitely not the powerhouse that it is now. However, this was not going to be a lasting choice for me because ai wanted more out of my website. I needed more customization than I could get from Wix (free version). Pros Very user-friendly with many customization options available through their templates and the drag and drop system to build a site. It is easy to build a polished-looking website quickly so I would recommend it for website novices. Cons Mostly little tech issues bug me, like: not being able to switch templates once I've started on one, slow-to-load pages, or how I cannot input some coding to improve the functionality/appearance of a page. Pros Wix offers a lot to like. It's incredible, user-friendly, even if you’re not used to it, thanks to its drag-and-drop editor. There are lot of templates to choose from, making it easy to create a professional-looking site quickly. And it's highly customizable. Cons Wix does have some drawbacks. the pricing can be higher compared to other website builders. once you choose a template, you can't switch to another without starting from scratch. It is very user friendly, easy to maneuver, and provides so much data. If you haven't given Wix a try, then you are missing out. Pros Wix is one of the most user friendly website platforms I have found. Once my website was built, I have been able to make all minor and major edits myself. The messaging system between customers and owners is simple. The app also is very user friendly and easy to communicate through. Cons Some of the jargon or website language is difficult to follow. However, I personally will use a more advanced platform to make my company websites and apps top of the line. Hopefully my experience with wix will make me more capable with the more advanced platforms to enable me to do so. Pros The A.I. website and app builder is fantastic. I was able to describe exactly what I want the app/website to look like and the features. It returned more than I expected without failing to meet my requests. Cons The editor to use after the A.I. did its thing, is where Wix can improve. Though it probably has a lot to do with my skills with the platform, I am a good enough designer that it should be more user friendly.
