While the price is high, it seems worth it to me for the tools I get through Wix, and the professional image I am able to maintain using their website building software. Pros As a graphic designer with a small side business, I recommend Wix to all of my clients. I first used Wix to create my own business website after doing a lot of research about different website creation platforms. Wix, in my opinion, is miles above the rest when it comes to ease-of-use, customization, and overall capability. Cons My only problem with Wix is the price point. For someone who needs a full e-commerce suite for their small business, I am paying quite a bit for the features that I use to sell my products. Research Assistant Research Used the software for: 2+ years ### "A Reliable, Intuitive Website Builder and Host" November 8, 2025 4.0 Wix is an overall reliable, easy-to-use SAS that is available at a competitive price. Having the builder, DNS, Google Workspace, and file storage on a centralized platform has been a cost-saver and time-saver for our team. Pros The service is highly reliable. Over the past four years, we have not experienced any downtime. The CRM features that enable you to use tables to dynamically build pages drastically increase development speed and democratize management to less technologically inclined team members. The builder is very intuitive, with drag-and-drop functionality. The inclusion of Velo (Wix's JavaScript) enables further customization and functionality beyond what is available in the native builder, if needed. We also use Wix for most of our DNS hosting needs and have never experienced issues. Cons It is challenging to get in touch with a live support agent. We have been using the product for over 4 years now, and the live support has only deteriorated during that time. Wix has a small app marketplace in comparison to Shopify and WordPress which requires extra development effort to get 3rd Party services working. The mobile page builder (at least in the classic builder) leaves much to be desired due to its clunky interface and stripped-down options. Squarespace suffered from oversimplification that did not allow for the custimization that we required. It allowed me to build and publish a professional-looking website without any coding knowledge. The interface is very user-friendly and the integrated tools for SEO, forms, and marketing save a lot of time. Customer support responses were also helpful whenever needed. Apart from a few limitations in customization and speed when using many apps, the platform works smoothly for my business. Pros Wix is very easy to use even for non-technical people. The drag-and-drop builder, ready-made templates, and integrated tools make it simple to launch a professional website quickly. I also like that it includes marketing, SEO, forms, and analytics in one platform without extra plugins. Cons Some advanced customizations are limited unless you upgrade to a higher plan. I am still very very frustrated with the elements. Pros I love the built in features a lot and the ability to customize elements using Velo code. This has changed the game for me honestly. As long as there is a script I can write, I have a solution. Cons My biggest issue with Wix is the elements and how they move positions from the preview mode vs the live mode. I feel there has to be a better way to ensure the elements we add stay in their position. Wix continues to improve their service, enabling me to run a smooth experience for my customers. Cons My emails go to spam. I tried to pay for mail chimp, and trying to incorporate the app crashed my site and it was down for over a week before I could get it up and running again. After having previously contacted support, I got no resolution after multiple failed attempts at connect the site. I also really love how affordable it is, for the quality of the product. Overall I would truly reccomend it to anyone, especially anyone who is just starting out because of how easy and user friendly it is to use. You can customize with your own photos and videos, easily reach out to customer support and access your site to make edits, whenever you want. You can build a "functional" multi-page website in about 2 hours. And you can make it look really good with more time, and more effort. This could have been easier if we can upgrade to a higher tier in Google.
