It is so rewarding to build your own website and start the journey of representing yourself or your business online. Pros Wix is a longstanding and well know Website Builder and Hosting provider. It has stood its ground amongst fierce competition from Squarespace and Cargo. I like its ease of use and domain offering too. There is great e-commerce capability and store building. You can even often get a free domain as long as you include the 'Wix' name in it. This is a great way to get started and explore creating a website without investing a lot of finance upfront. Cons I think the building of the sites has come a long way. It takes a while to learn the process, but once you master it, it feels like a great skill and asset. It does require a bit of time and at present, I think the AI capability could be slightly improved. It has been a great experience and our clients really enjoy that it is easy to use. We are still able to be in a part of their account and make updates as needed too. Pros Wix is an easy and customizable website system that allows a custom look and feel while being user friendly. The customer support is available 24/7. It is good value for money. Wix has great in built security that is great for any business. Cons As Wix is hosted within its own hosting environment, when you create a website, it can not be changed to a different host. Cons I don't love that Customer Service is a bit more difficult to get in touch with. Once I've been able to talk with them, my issues have been fixed quickly, but getting to that point (past chat bots, etc.) can be a bit frustrating. Cons Renewal amounts are twice what they should be, so you have to be careful and manually catch renewals, instead of letting the Wix company automate the subscription renewal process.
