It’s not easy to fix loading speed on the website, and they get bloated easy. Cons No promotions or coupons are available for purchases made within the platform. For example, I had to pay for email marketing, so it was an extra 1k I had to pay, but no coupons to help me save some money. Pros I like the way that wix makes it easy to drag and drop components onto a page, as compared to using other tools where there may be layers to adding content. It also has relatively intuitive modules for collecting information through forms. Cons Generally there is a lack of customization and uniformity. It is very easy to accidentally create pages that look off from each other. They ultimately can clash design-wise. It is often difficult to stay consistent and it is designed to lock you in to a specific all-in-one solution which presents problems over time if you want to expand into other areas of e-commerce, site customizations, or redirects. The windows to enter text and pictures tend to overlap which cause a sloppy look when viewing the pages on the screen vs tablet vs phone so i only would recommend that the windows not overlap. This problem alone lead to hours of work to correct. Pros Ease of use. It had almost everything we needed, and the few things it wasn't capable of we did find work arounds for. They provide a wide selection of 'apps' and ad on-s, we found their scheduling apps incredibly helpful. It also integrated with our payment platforms easily, allowing customers to not only book online but prepay as well. This greatly reduced the amount of no-shows, increasing revenue for our small business. Pros Wix is perfect for a small business without the budget for a tech or IT team to develop their website. What I enjoyed most is I could create a professional looking and user friendly website without any experience with website building! Cons What I like most about Wix can also be what I liked least. The platform is super user friendly, made for anyone to just hop on and create a website with no background knowledge on website building. Because of this, though, the platform is on the more simple side. There are some custom functions that it cannot add/perform. We had a website builder write us code for the functions we did want, but they were difficult to integrate into the site. If you’re looking for absolute ease or low-cost simplicity, there are better (faster, cheaper) options, but Wix's growing ecosystem and professional polish - not to mention the 'specialness' of being not just another Wordpress site - are nice feathers in the product's hat. Pros Wix is one of those platforms should be easy with a quick learning curve - drag, drop, publish but in reality it's a little more complicated and challenging, but it adds some more muscle to its use. Creates a solid, polished product with a lot of integration options, add-ons, and templates. You can make a sharp, professional-looking site code, and the ecosystem has grown enough that you can bolt on almost anything you need as your project evolves. Cons The cost is a bit higher than its competitors, though the market has been fluctuating significantly, but Wix remains not the cheapest way to get online, especially once you start stacking add-ons and premium features. Thanks to their templates and AI I did it in just 2 days. My friends liked it a lot. Pros I like how easy is to create a landing page or a full website. I contacted support because I wanted to add a functionality for my wedding website and they solved the problem super fast. No need to know about how to code and the best part is that is free!!
