The way the tool functions and lets you analyse data is critical for any business. The user doesn't have to worry about being on their toes to keep the website up and running. Pros The ease of use and the multitude of features that the tool provides. It is extremely simple to build a website using Wix and it can cater to any kind of business category. No matter if you're a small business owner or a large company wanting to build a quick website, Wix has a variety of templates that can be used to build the right kind of website. Cons The pricing. Currently, the website building category is saturated with a lot of players and all of them have competitive pricing compared to Wix. If the software reduces the pricing slightly, it will be the leader of the pack. Cons The platform takes a relatively long time to run and update, once consumes too much data and requires high processing performance from the hardware. So i will recommend the software for those people who wants to have an easy to use platform that no longer needs an I.T developer or a software specialist. Cons Well there are some features that still needs development, but using wix the cons that i will foresee in the near future is the way they handle customer care, it took 30 to 40 minutes which shoudn't be that long when it comes to that part, as they develop a system that makes everything fast the customer service should also met the same specification that they are trying to build. Pros It is now relatively easy to add customised code on top of the builder's design. The fact that Wix constantly upgrades security is very important. The drag and drop works very well. Cons There are 4 problems with Wix. 1) Customer support is horrific - it usually takes 8-10 mails until they bother reading what I wrote (until that point they presume that the problem is a user error). Eventually, they admit they have a problem. This has happened to me on 4 different occasions. 2) No backwards support. They frequently replace elements with improved versions - without offering any backward compatibility or ability to transit to the new feature e.g. when they changed the blog model - it was not possible to move from the old to the new version. 3) Many hidden costs - particularly forms, CRM abilities etc. 4) Very poor reporting. Reason for choosing Wix WIX was easier to implement than WordPress. I have chosen to use Nicepage for my new sites as they have a much better selection of templates, full control and ownership over the code and great customer support. It also works out much cheaper. Straightforward and delightful to set up - I've enjoyed the product-led growth model with which Wix has led my onboarding and activation. I can see fellow entrepreneurs being able to set up and launch quickly with their websites with the modular and customized userflows. Thank you! 2. Superb Customer Support - I was having issues setting up my payment profile, and opted to chat with Customer Support late in the day (after 6pm PST). \[sensitive content hidden\] was so helpful in helping me understand the issue and putting into effect a resolution for my issue. Plus she gave me a tip that would be very useful to set up my store 'while you wait for the internal team to get the issue sorted' Cons The template/store theme I'm currently using is quite slow in performance. But it's not terrible, just that the overall performance/speed of the pages slow down when I'm editing. I'll be more worried if the performance issues exist after I've published the site. I think it is a great product for both creator and user. Pros I love the ease of use. They come a long way and it is a great alternative for creators to quickly and effectively design a website. Cons The cost is a bit much. I feel like they are increasing in cost more and more. I get it that a business needs to make money, but I always get the sense they are in it for the money and not the customers. However their customer service is good, but one an issue I had, they were not able to help to the full degree and I felt like my issue (at times) was getting overlooked or not addressed clearly. Reason for choosing Wix Ease of use that make work not as time consuming. So really you are not only paying for good features and ease of use. You are paying into saved time, IF you want a quick basic site. But then again you have to know your way around and I think WIX makes their dashboard navigation easier than others. It has a lot of templates to start building your website with, but they are also very customizable. Wix seems to be the best for building sites on which you can sell services and appointments. It's also great for selling physical products and creating event pages. It also has in-built email marketing tools, which helps to save budget. Cons Unlike WordPress, Wix is not great for building large dynamic websites or e-stores. Even though there are many plugins, you're still very limited in what you can do with Wix. The builder gets heavy and takes a lot of time to load and make changes. Besides, you cannot have many people working on the site simultaneously. The features increase from year to year, the security level is awesome, the comfort of use is stellar and you can do it all by yourself! Even if you have a team that works on the website you can go in, figure out what's going on and make the necessary changes in the blink of an eye. Pros The ease of use is remarkable with Wix. Its layout is very user-friendly and intuitive. If you're a beginner and have no clue as to how to build website or if you're a person who's comfortable with tech jargon and IT puzzles Wix's platform is a one-size fits most. Cons There are still some features that are lacking such as nested pages within pages, site version in more than two languages (for example if you want your website in 4 different languages). I would've loved to have a bit more than 100 page limit for our websites. 100 might seem a lot for someone who wants to create a simple website, but for a dance school with several programs, bifurcations, details and information to put on there, it would've been nice to have just a bit more flexibility. Pros Truth it took me 5 years to use Wix. First I used Square Space, then I used Weebly. Someone recommended Square Space as I was selling jewelry and although I could easily make the website through their templates, I didnt know enough about design to do more complicated things, like set up my Pay Pal and run multiple pages (vlog, e store, sign up). I then switched to Weebly because someone said it was easier and I felt like I was not using what I was paying for Square Space and although Weebly was alot easier, I found it's platform not intuitive, after I hired someone to create a Wordpress for me but again, felt so dependent on them for support. Finally, I went to Wix and many non computer entrepreneur colleagues launched their site and set up their Paypals so quickly. I wish I had listened to a friend who told me 5 years ago to start with Wix. Cons Nothing, truth I wish I had time to watch all their tutorials because I know with the drag and drop features it is just a matter of time I can run my own business (e commerce and online education) entirely on my site.
