I have a small online business and before Wix I was wondering how can I build a website without any coding knowledge. I also contacted with several freelancers but their price was higher than my budget. But after finding Wix I was amazed. With Wix I built my own website in a short of time with minimum budget. User interface is so easy and user friendly which explains every action step by step. Thanks to Wix I managed to avoid from high costs. With Wix I also managed to use my time more efficiently. Cons There are some small insufficiencies. But the main one is searching feature which have less fylters. Customers want to get as much results as possible while searching. Their policies are ridiculous and customer service knowledge and etiquette are terrible. I have to share the latest bizarre policy I've run into. I'm ready to move my site to another provider (YAY!) and updated my email address from the one I used when I initially signed up. Because I changed an email address, my account is locked for 60 days. Essentially, it costs $66 to change your email address because they lock you in for 60 days. Currently, the payout system is not functioning causing payouts to cease and error messages saying the bank is rejecting payouts when Customer Service just verified it is a tech issue on their end. No emails or notices went out so I spent a good 90 minutes on hold trying to resolve the issue when they got back on and replied that it was an issue on their end with no anticipated completion time frame. Unprofessional at Best. Pros I like the user platform and the ease of adding elements to my website. Publishing is instant so it's easy to add a customized product for a specific client and then remove it following the purchase. Cons Customer Service: Worst service ever. Lies and more lies about policies, fees, service. Rarely get a resolution to issues after spending hours on the phone. The reps are impolite, have no phone etiquette. Their policies for issuing payouts is awful - they hold your money for 5-10 days before releasing it- claiming it is a bank issue. Spoke with my bank and they say it is their policy to release funds instantly upon receipt and the 5 day hold is WIX, not a banking industry policy as they claim. Review Source LD Lily D. July 29, 2019 5.0 I am solving being able to create, edit/revise, and host multiple websites all being managed by me and not an outside party or company. This makes it easy to tweak when I want to update something and cost effective as I can do everything myself! Pros I have my styling company/blog, as well as PR & Events company websites all set up on Wix.com and it is incredible easy to use! I created all 3 websites in the matter of a day - with some tweaks I've made along the way - and the software is incredibly user friendly and easy to figure out...even if you've never made a website before! The template options, fonts, image hosting, everything is very up to date and you can really make a website out of a completely white screen and bring it fully to life! Cons The only con about this is that I have had a few questions in the past and getting in contact with customer support was an issue. I think I ultimately resulted to reaching out on Twitter, but when you try to contact someone through your portal or their website you are just taken to a general FAQ page, not somewhere where you can chat with a chatbot/representative to get your questions answered and rectified. They offer a community based platform with features that supports businessess trying to build a community amongst their followers and customers. Cons The down side of Wix is that its not suited for businesses that offer tangible goods. There's no ability to intergrate with Instagram so that shop owners can also sell their products through the popular social media platform. Additonally, Wix is not design to allow third party apps to integrate. So if you sell products through a third party app, you have to manually process every single order. For bloggers, their commenting system workds against those trying to build engagment because Wix requires all visitors to join bloggers site before commenting on a blog post. We moved our company website over to Wix and we were up and running immediately, building and launching new pages every day. Cons We eventually outgrew the Wix capabilities and for Sales reasons, needed to move over to Hubspot. We could not successfully sync Salesforce and all of our sales tools with Wix.
