It was easier to get a comprehensive tutorial from an outside source than what Wix provided. When you compare it to what I’d usually charge for custom dev hours, the yearly plan ends up paying for itself after just the first site. Pros Last Tuesday I rebuilt a dental client's site, finally getting them off that old WordPress mess. Five pages, a contact form, and the Google Analytics tag, all wrapped up by 2pm. For a two-person shop like ours, that kind of turnaround really matters. The image compression just handles itself now, so I'm not stuck fielding annoying calls about slow mobile load times anymore. Cons The editor's drag positioning gets fussy when I'm trying to nudge elements just a few pixels on tablet breakpoints. I've spent twenty minutes on something that really should've taken five. I have a fully paid for premium subscription for my business that relies on a website for income, including email address, domain, email campaign monthly subscriptions etc. Wix disconnected my domain for no reason and after 8 phone calls, I still have not had any contact back from them or a reason why my FULLY PAID FOR SUBSCRIPTION doesn't warrant a reason for WHY!! As a small business owner with staff who depend on consumers having access to a website to book services, this is UNACCEPTABLE! It's been 4 days of my website being down and no explanation, no case file notes, AND NO RESOLVE so far and NO communication from the escalation team either! I have a fully paid for PREMIUM SUBSCRIPTION and all you receive are tier one lacky's who say they will escalate it. They are trained to provide empathy and repeat your frustrations yet are not experts that they say they are in the help section, and are totally unable to help. I also put in a separate case for a refund due to lost business over 4 days and my time for 45 mins on the phone for each of my 8 phone calls, and got a reply within 1 DAY saying NO. I haven't even got a reply from the tech department in the 4 days my website has been down, yet the refund department can easily respond within 24 hours!!! I have never in my online business life of 7 years EVER experienced such disgusting POOR service. If I were considering a WIX platform business/website, I would totally TOTALLY look elsewhere...I have not had my website restored thus far. I also informed WIX that I would be reviewing them to this effect and they did not seem to care. So when any of you get this kind of experience, it's important to go to this level and review it as such and also email the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to report a complaint. Pros Nothing...my website is useless...Wix have been of zero help over an issue that is soley their fault. Despite paying for a premium subscription, they have not provided any help for 4 days now to have it back up. I have called 8 times and about to call a 9th. Cons Lack of tech support totally. My website is still not re-instated even though a fully paid for premium plan plus extras has been paid for. My business has not been able to operate at all for 4 days and counting. You get nice non-expert people who are scripted to care yet nothing gets done and you cannot get them to do anything except say sorry. After 8 phone calls, the sorry completely wears off.
