The platform has allowed me to build and grow a successful online store without hiring a web developer. It continues to add new features and improvements, and support has been responsive when I've needed assistance. While there are occasional interface changes that can make documentation outdated, the overall value, reliability, and capabilities of the platform have exceeded my expectations. Pros Wix has been an excellent platform for my ecommerce business. The website builder is easy to use, the integrated store features work well, and I've been able to achieve outstanding Google search rankings without needing a developer. Customer support has also been very good. During a recent investigation into order confirmation emails, support went beyond basic troubleshooting and checked actual email delivery logs to help determine the root cause. I appreciated that they were willing to investigate instead of just sending help articles. Cons My biggest frustration is that the interface changes frequently, so help articles and AI instructions don't always match the current dashboard. It would also be helpful if store owners had direct access to email delivery statistics (delivered, bounced, opened, etc.) instead of needing to contact support. Having those analytics available in the dashboard would make troubleshooting much easier. And as I worked through the many challenges of making my own published site to look as professional as I could I have gotten for the most part excellent customer help and technical support. Cons My only gripe throughout the years has been that sometimes the contacts were in foreign countries, and they either spoke with a heavy accent or their knowledge was limited compared to the American Tech Support Teams at WIX.COM. When I’m confused and things are confusing I can ask the AI on my app and it explains everything and gives me step by step. Today I was on the chat with a rep and they walked me through adding my site back to my domain once I had to change the plan package. So I like how they are there to guide and assist. Pros It’s very easy to manage and if there’s any confusion someone can assists 24/7. Whether it’s on the app or on the chat on line. Someone is always there to help.!! Cons Some things can be confusing but once you ask and they explain it becomes easy. The other thing is with memberships. If the payment doesn’t go through it automatically cancels the subscription. I don’t think it should be that way especially for memberships. Those are commitments therefore if the payment doesn’t go through for a particular month it should continue to try and collect it the following month with the new monthly payment. But not deactivate the membership. Or it should at least try to process the payment twice. And possibly do an additional charge for the payment not going through.
