Pros Their customer support agent Alina was a breath of fresh air. Such an awesome person with patience and quick to suggest things to try to fix the error I encountered. Would recommend her a 1000 times over! Give this girl a raise or promotion! Cons The AI help bot. Much easier to speak to a human. Malheureusement, mon expérience a été extrêmement décevante. Sans aucune notification préalable, mon abonnement a été renouvelé automatiquement pour deux ans. Aucun mail, aucun rappel avant la facturation, ce qui est inacceptable, surtout pour un service destiné aux pros. J’ai résilié immédiatement, ne profitant d’aucune prestation sur cette nouvelle période, mais Wix refuse catégoriquement de rembourser, en s’appuyant sur des conditions internes floues. Le support client est inexistant : réponses automatiques, aucun accompagnement, aucune volonté de comprendre le problème. En parallèle, la plateforme elle-même montre vite ses limites : performances moyennes, personnalisation restreinte, SEO très limité, et un système fermé qui rend toute migration vers un autre service très compliquée. Bref, je déconseille vivement Wix aux professionnels. C’est une solution peu transparente, peu souple et qui ne respecte pas ses utilisateurs. Confusing and tedious at times, but good. I'm so grateful for the human customer support agents that help me tackle the really weird technical issues that I can run into (like SSL certificates suddenly ceasing to work correctly). Pros How fast I can get a page up. I came to WIX because BlueHost had a massive server crash a number of years ago and I lost my site right before I was supposed to have a big online art sale. Since I hosted my domain name elsewhere I was able to point it at a rapidly built WIX site and was able to continue with those plans. Cons Honestly, the lack of a fluid design options in it's WYSIWYG editor. The websites often look rather weird being just a vertical strip in the middle of a large screen. Cons I am here to talk about the positive side of Wix. Had an issue with connecting the domain and she assisted me and connected the domain for me. She was very quick and attentive and I managed to solve the problem very fast. Thanks to \[sensitive content hidden\] once again :) Cons It’s unnecessarily difficult to connect an existing custom domain if it’s not on Wix’s supported extension list. Even when the domain is compatible, the interface repeatedly pushes users to purchase a new domain instead of clearly guiding them through the DNS or nameserver connection process. Pros I like how easy Wix is to build professional websites on, the drag-and-drop editor and the wide variety of templates. For instance, I utilised it for creating a portfolio website for my freelance work, and the clear interface let me optimise the design with zero coding experience. Great plugins for adding functionality can also be found in the App Market. Cons The free plan comes with Wix branding and very limited storage and bandwidth that can be quite limiting. I made some real blunders, and then failed to follow up when I should have, but customer service listened to my problem and gave me a chance to straighten it out. I am very grateful to still have a website! Wix is more than AI. Behind the technology, Wix is people with heart. Pros Wix made building a professional-looking website accessible to inexperienced me, a teacher and principal (and grandma!) turned content creator. And their customer support....oh, I could hug them! Thank you, Wix! Cons It isn't Wix's fault, but I get a lot of scam emails (pretending to be Wix), and I generally delete them. I read somewhere that Wix will notify you of any problems on the dashboard, so I watched my dashboard. I don't know where I heard that, because it wasn't true. I missed a VERY important Wix email that could have saved me a ton of trouble. It would be nice to actually have problems pop up in notices on the dashboard, for people like me who are very new to making websites. Still, I have to own my own mistake in not reading all the emails with great care, and not reaching out. He said he'd advise the powers that be that the email is confusing. Pros Service, quick response to possible crisis. After an email in my inbox today, \[sensitive content hidden\] managed to respond to my query within a few minutes and fix the issue within 8 minutes. Cons Some of the themes are hard to alter without significant coding. It is difficult to repopulate different themes when altering older look and feel. Maybe AI should assist? Cons Techinical Support is lacking! When they promise to revert back to you via email, it never happens! It is sad because all their other services and products are WORLD CLASS!
