Pros Wix has the kind of automated backend and UI that makes it super easy for making websites - especially for those who have never ever made a website. It is the best one for small business owners who simply don't have a budget for hiring someone to build a website for them, but still, need a website that works and looks professional. It has a lot of features such as the easy way for shopping and payments, the simple way it asks your contact details, address, and map and automatically builds a contact page for you. For bloggers, it also has the blogging feature that makes it super easy to blog. It may seem like it is priced a little higher than the free websites, but it is totally worth the money, especially for non-professionals. Those who have no experience with building websites, may not find it easy to use the free services as they require some inputs. But Wix makes it very easy. Cons Slightly high priced. Una cosa que me sorprendió es que a pesar de que es una herramienta básica, puedes ubicar fácilmente las páginas en el motor de Google. Cons No me gusta que hay muchos costos ocultos. La información de precios no está muy a la vista. Cuando empiezas a necesitar otros servicios o características te das cuenta de que tendrás que pagar bastante para obtenerlos. Al irlos solicitando te das cuenta como poco a poco se incrementa tu cuenta y terminas pagando muchísimo por lo mismo que puedes obtener a un costo mucho más reducido. I am enjoying their website builder and their amazing features. I only wish that it was a little less expensive to use their individual features. However, I don't plan on switching my website to another builder because Wix is by far the easiest and most organized to use. Pros The things I like most about Wix is their website drag-and-drop builder. It is easy to use and edit when necessary. I also like their clean and organized dashboard because it helps me access everything I need quickly and easily. Cons Wix is definitely expensive compared to other premium web plans. They are constantly asking you to upgrade which gets a little annoying and their don't offer a set plan with all their features in one. February 1, 2020 5.0 My aim with establishing a website was to increase advertising and community outreach to increase my client load. Since having my website up and running my traffic and online presence has increased drastically and I went from part-time to full-time because I have been getting calls or contact forms regularly. Pros I am no experience with setting up a website, but was able to set up a professional, user friendly website using Wix's templates as a guide. If I ever ran into a problem or had any issues, Wix's support staff was super responsive, patient, and helped resolve any issues as soon as possible. On top of that, Wix offered a discount coupon to allow for additional features on my website that allows me to track visitors, traffic, time of day...etc. which has helped me target my advertising. I love that I have the option to include a contact form box to track people who reach out to my business, I have an interactive map to my office, and most importantly my site is mobile friendly! Cons The only challenge I had with the Wix software is that it does take some time to set up. However, I would imagine that is how it is with any software when setting up an inclusive website. Don't be deceived by the commercials though because its not quite as easy as they make it look and unless you have some good photography and video to accompany your website then it may not look as fantastic as you first imagined. Pros Wix is a great web-based software that allows for the creation of simple and easy to use websites. It's responsibly comfortable to use and and the interface take a little getting used to but is fairly simple once you get the hang of it. If you would like to go a little more in depth with your design Wix will allow you to do this. You do however need to know a little about web design to get the best results. A big plus is that there's a free version! If you don't want to break the bank or are a lowly college student just looking to improve your web-design skills, or are just messing around with webdesign as a possibly hobby. This is a great feature that will help you get started without paying a dime. Cons Perhaps to simple. There's a point where you site may start to look like everyone else's. Despite various different options as far as layout, typography and sizing goes, its the elements you bring from outside of Wix that are going to set your site apart form the masses. Gets a little pricey (if say your a college student) to get rid of thous Wix ad bars. If you decide that your site is ready for the world and want to start using it in a professional capacity then it can get a little expensive to get rig of those ad bars. If you are not a designer and just want to use a template, Wix provides plenty of well-designed options to choose from. I mostly appreciate the fact that you are able to start from scratch if you want to and design your own site, specific to your needs. Cons I would say that one of the only downsides to Wix is the fact that a lot of the widgets and add ons applications are not very well developed in many cases. I wish there were better and more simple ways to customize galleries and display photos sometimes. Often you can find a workaround for issues but there are efficiencies that are definitely still being developed. I would not change a thing and would not choose to create a website for my clients with any other site. Pros Wix is extremely user friendly. Making websites has never been easier... and quick! As a side gig, I create websites for clients; Wix is hands down my go-to platform. You are able to easily choose a template based on what the website is meant for and go from there. You are given something to start with which saves an insane amount of time. Changing the colors, font, layout, photos, etc. is very simple and most importantly user friendly. No matter what type of website I am creating, I will choose to use Wix. Cons I like everything about Wix, but sometimes when arranging the layout/look of the website for mobile view I have a few problems - nothing major. Once in a while when I make the mobile view look perfect, I will save it and preview it on my actual phone with the temporary wix link. For some weird reason, the layout does not always look the same as it did when I was editing it on the laptop/desktop. I have to go back and forth from the computer to my phone, making sure everything looks correct, is straight, centered and visible. Not a huge problem but it would be great if that was improved! You can create several websites, keep them as your projects on wix and publish whenever you want in just not more than a minute. Wix offers scores of attractive templates for free. Creating website on wix is so simple that almost anybody can do wonders. All you have to do is just follow instructions and that is it. Email templates can be designed easily. There are a lot of free templates. You can also run email marketing campaigns from Wix. You can run up to 3 email marketing campaigns for free and send a lot of free emails. It lets you do search engine optimization and help you launch your website which can also be found by Google search. You can create invoices, send quotations and also receive payment on Wix. All of the inquiries that you will get from your website will also be saved on Wix and those contacts will also be saved by Wix. So, you will never lose data. Cons You will get an extremely lucrative offer from Wix and you would want to just for it without giving it a second though but next year it will appear to be on the higher side.
