Being an owner operator leaves very little time for error. Using Shop Monkey allows me to work on a vehicle and actively stay in touch with my customers and schedule new work with fewer steps then ever before!

Pros

This software allowed me to stream line all aspects of my shop. It's ease of use and ability to communicate with my customers through the entire repair process is like no other.

Cons

My only wish for this software is they carried repair info as well so I only use shop monkey in my shop!

Ease of use.Correct price point. Very active and helpful support that makes real and timely updates to the software!

Amazing! The system is pretty user friendly, I love that they are always available via Instant Messaging they literally reply within minutes & are able to solve my issues or answer my questions so quickly.

Pros

All features are easy to use. Easily customized to the needs of my business. All reports for time cards, revenue, invoices, expenses etc.. are easily obtained.

Cons

The least thing I like is that sometimes it doesn't let me retrieve the labor time for certain jobs.

Excellent. Can't think of any better word at the moment.

Pros

Has to be the ease of use. It is such a user friendly program and it is only getting better. There was a feature that I had in another program that they were upfront with me and so no they don't have it yet but they are working on it. I obviously signed up anyway and they have been great. And just like they said the feature that I had asked for they have now. So awesome. The support is also second to none. If I have any question or concerns I am promptly responded to the most times with in seconds which makes a huge difference.

Cons

One major con. I did not find the program sooner.

Reason for choosing Shopmonkey

Not Price but Value. They weren't the cheapest but they offered the most bang for our Buck. That and the company listens to the users and makes improvements/changes accordingly. So of the other programs are okay but they don't compare to shop monkey.

Shopmonkey is incredibly easy to use and encompasses all functionality you would see at a big box dealer but better! If you set the system up properly you can almost go paperless as it stores everything for you. There are so many functions that I haven't even touched on yet! Also, the customer service is second to none. Any time I have a question or need clarification someone is always there which makes my life so much easier because sometimes time is of the essence.

Pros

I like the fact that the software will pull up information on the vehicle from just a license plate number. I also like that CarFax is integrated into the software along with technician efficiency.

Cons

There really isn't anything I DON'T like. There may be a few things that I'm used to from previous software that is different but ultimately it has the same result and more!

I was only able to leave a 5 Star review for customer support but would leave a higher mark if i could have, the customer support is phenomenal!! They always get back to you in a timely manor and LISTEN!! i love the ease of use and ability to move jobs around with ease.

Shop money is everything we need as a MODERN shop management system! Competitors try and stack software on top of outdated systems which becomes one "work around" after another" Its TOO frustrating! Shop Monkey is EVERYTHING you need to get an edge on your competition. EASY to read estimates for your customers! Built in Visual Inspections! PAPERLESS piratically everything! (though I still print because I can't let go yet!) SEAMLESS estimate to RO to Invoice with inspections WITHOUT a single phone call to a customer! Shop Monkey is EVERYTHING wanted from a Management System. It is such a relief and my customers LOVE it!

Cons

It is rather new and not as robust as others. The benefits Far! out way the drawbacks!

I am well beyond satisfied with Shopmonkey's functionality and customer service. If you are opening a new shop or ready to move your RO software into the tech era these are your guys.

We manage our whole shop with Shopmonkey, including inventory. I really believe in it.

Pros

I've used a lot of automotive management software platforms over the years. I think Shopmonkey has really brought shop management into the 21st century. Super easy to use, very user friendly! Learning curve is really very shallow. You can have a user up to speed in less than a day.

Cons

I wish the reporting features were more comprehensive. There needs to be more flexibility to make custom reports. I believe that some essential reports are missing. Hopefully the team will remedy that in future updates.

Pros

What I like most about Shopmonkey is that it is very user friendly, it is full with options and has everything a shop needs in one,. The customer service team is always there to assist you and guide you and with constant improvements along the way the software becomes customized to your daily needs. Easy to use and made with the thought of making things easier not only for the business that is using it but for the customer as well.

Cons

Of course, there is always something that is missing when you start using a software. For example there is no military/24 hour time option, the inventory usage could be hard to track as well as a few other small features that I find useful. With that being said, the customer service team assured me that they are working on fixing the aforementioned issues and on making the product better every day.

Great experience they are always available to help you with any questions you have and if it is not a function that the software does currently then they put in a que, and then work on upgrades as they see need for them. Which seems to work very efficiently.

Pros

I like having workflow, calendar, and invoicing all in one and then pushed though to my quickbooks. I also like that they are always updating the software based on users needs and the customer support is amazing. They respond usually within 5 minutes.

Cons

Some of the reporting and the purchase order portion is still a work in progress. They just released that function and it needs a few tweaks.

ShopMonkey has allowed me to simplify many aspects of our business. The communication between the front of house and the back of house has improved greatly thanks to the notes and recommendations features.

Pros

The "Workflow" page and the "Calendar" are my favorite. I keep each open in a different tab so switching both and forth is easy.

Cons

Not really a con, but I'd like the ability to edit user details such as the email without having to bother your support staff.

Great CRM tool to keep track of customers and their conversations! Loving the function which allow us to create quotations and invoices fast, it really helps to improve the customer satisfaction. I love the support given by the team as well, they are effective and so helpful. They shared a lot of information and suggestion too. Great job!

Amazing customer service, Incredibly easy to use if your computer illiterate, layout is easy, and delivery of bills and estimates is so easy! This is my 3rd shop program I've used and this is the best! Thank you.

Pros

The start up user friendly icons make it easy to navigate on a computer or phone! The fact that I can customize my layout within the work flow and create check list with photos attached has been a great success. The easy of billing!

Cons

Generally, the process time for payment is too long with 3 to 4 days. More specifically the client information data is to vague for vessels, and it would great to have a field report page alongside the inspections.

Shopmonkey was super helpful in getting us set up. You ask a question and you get an answer from them right away. No waiting on hold for hours to get someone. We will be using this as our main program now. So easy to use. Easy to navigate

Pros

Shopmonkey was super easy to install and set up. Uploading inventory and customer lists were a breeze!

Cons

Nothing! Love it! Wish we would have got it a few years ago when we were looking at it.

Not happy with the fact we cannot get accounts receivable of history from Shopmonkey since we have cancelled the subscription. WE OWN THE HISTORY!!! THEY ARE NOT GIVING ME ACCESS THE INFORMATION TO COLLECT FROM ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE! HOW DO WE COLLECT WITHOUT THIS???

This is a software created by people who do not work in the automotive industry and do not know how a shop works.

Pros

What I like most is the simplicity and how user friendly this software is. This is an App based software so it works really well with the technology of today and makes the customer experience so easy and cool.

Cons

I don't thin there could be one thing that is bad about this software compared to all others. While all other software's are stuck in there way and wont change anything, Shopmonkey is here to listen to there customers and continue to update the software almost every month

Right off, I could tell this software was designed with the automotive technician in mind. In my business assembling a quote fast and efficiently is critical. Shopmonkey shop management is ideal for the modern automotive business.

Absolutely Phenominal! If the product doesn't get you, the customer service will. I have never had to wait more then 5 mins to get an answer directly from the staff. Also, they offer training during the free trial, but this system is so easy to use I never took it. I am currently teaching my child to use it and they are less then 10 years old! The features are so easily implementable that this product will change you businesses profitably instantly!

Pros

Just about everything in this software is worth it! the Workflow Management is my favorite feature.

Cons

The labor times are a bit generic and not as precise as say ProDemand or Alldata. Also the tutorials aren't as detailed, though both of these got me started being truly profitable first and made it so i could upgrade to ProDemand.

Originally the price and the free trial. I stayed for everything else!

Increased efficiency. More money captured through the automation of fees and shop supplies. Better time clock tracking for employees.

Pros

The customer support is amazing. They don't say no, they say we are working on it, and give a timeline for completion. We've only been using this software a short time and are already seeing improved efficiency, as well as new features from ShopMonkey.

Cons

The software needs a retail side so we can quickly sell parts to customers without invoicing. ShopMonkey has been notified of this, and they are working towards it. Any other complaints are minor, because I'm picky

Pros

Being able to send sms messages with pictures to customers, the best customer support I have ever received from a software company, and it is constantly being updated. When I first did the online demo last year I was already sold but had a few suggestions to improve...before I even signed up they had already put most of what I mentioned into the software.

Cons

I didn't' have it when I was managing a Harley Dealership with 15 Techs.
