Pros Shop Monkey is easy for anyone to jump in and use. Very easy to schedule and remind customers for appointments. Love the feature where I can put in the license plate in and it brings up the car info and VIN. Customer service is always friendly and extremely helpful. Cons The only thing that was frustrating was switching from our old system to ShopMonkey. We couldn't get all of our old tickets and data switched over. What a relief!" December 10, 2018 5.0 I've been able to watch things closer than ever. Pros When I decided that we needed to make a big change in the shop, I demoed close to 20 different softwares. Shop Monkey seems to be the only one headed in a positive direction with lots of momentum. It’s 80% of what I need now and will work with them on the rest. They are doing something pretty incredible and I want to be along for the ride. Cons It's still new so there's a little ways to go..but that's what I like too. The entire staff is truly friendly and responsive. They listen to their customer concerns and work hard to resolve any issues. Most of all they LISTEN to their customers which was a huge plus for me. Pros It is super intuitive. The software helped our office run much smoother. Cons We are an premium auto detailing company but the software is formatted towards automotive and auto body shops. Then being able to change that to an active work order and then a completed invoice. Also, its great to be able to track communications and activities by work order. Cons In addition to the VW service shop, we have our own fleet of vehicles. ShopMonkey is not really set up for fleet management - so we are on another system for that. March 16, 2018 5.0 We benefit from this program because it makes it easier to keep track of our orders, inventory, timesheets, payroll, profitability, reporting, and customer interactions. We searched high and low for a great program and are lucky to have found Shopmonkey. Pros We love that it is evolving with the needs of the industry. We also love that it can be used to practically run the paperwork and the shop without alot of effort. Any time that I need help with something, I can call, text, or email and the problem is fixed or the issue is addressed almost immediately with fast and friendly service. They continue to add things that I need and are very helpful with ideas that I hadn't thought of. Cons It is only compatible with quickbooks online and we do not use quickbooks online. Shopmonkey integrates with Quickbooks, and then you add those types of expenses also in Quickbooks. It has a lot of options to make it your own. It can be very personal or general as you wish. It give you hours free that other wise you will be spending on the phone. My Shop has been using it for 2 weeks now and we are extremely happy. The Biggest deal is that you NEVER have to wait on hold to call them to ask a question. It works perfectly to manage all of our projects and gives my students real world shop expeience. What I like most is that it is easy to use with many diffent users set up as technicians and adminstrators. If I were to start up a professional reapir shop I would deffinelty stick with Shopmonkey. Pros Customer support is my number 1 requirement. Shopmonkey has gone above and beyond with continued support since implementation, with quick responses to questions and willingness to accommodate feature requests. As for the software itself, I am satisfied with "package". Shopmonkey has replaced two separate programs we used before and is working on a third.
