I’ve had a great experience using the platform and haven’t encountered any issues. Everything has worked reliably, which has made it easy to use on a day‑to‑day basis

Pros

The quality and accuracy of the data is what stands out most for me. Knowing the information is reliable saves me time, improves my confidence when reaching out, and helps me focus on having better conversations instead of questioning the data

Cons

At first, the platform looked a bit overwhelming and not very easy to pick up on my own. Thankfully, my Account Manager called me and took the time to explain how everything worked. Their guidance made the learning process much easier, and after that, I found the platform straightforward and enjoyable to use

A good thing about the software is that it has a lot of functionalities. This does mean that there's a learning curve for new team members. I'd say it's definetly worth the time to invest in learning the different functionalities. Cognism even did an in person training to help us get the most out of the platform. Overal the lead generation we're realizing with Cognism is amazing. It helps us find the correct prospect: we can filter through dozens of very detailed filters, helping us to find our exact ICP. It also connects with our CRM which makes this process even easier. Once we have identified the right prospects for our accounts we can then find their contact details (mobiles, HQ, direct lines and email addresses). The speed with which we can contact our prospects has improved our sales cycle by a lot! We can also request Cognism to look for mobile numbers if they aren't know yet. This allows us to contact executives whom usually don't have mobile numbers that show. The quality of the data has been a lot higher quality compared to other vendors.

Pros

We've been using Cognism for more than 1.5 years now and from the start it has been great. The value it provides our business development team and sales team is immense. In short what our teams like is that we can find the right prospect for each account, and then easily find the right contact details so we can reach out to them. Before this process took a lot of our time. Now we can work at speed, which shortens our sales cycles and improves our bottom line.

Cons

The 'Diamond Verify' function (Cognism looking to find mobile numbers not yet known) is amazing! The only comment on it is that it sometimes takes quite a while to receive them, while these usually are very urgent and important calls to make. Receiving this faster would be amazing.

### "Misleading renewal and lacking credit card control on the backend. "

The technology works mostly. The integrations work. The customer success team is only interested in profit and loss and not the success of the clients. Their renewal and backend payment processes is misleading and purposeful to keep clients with the platform. Therefore I can't recommend them until they give the payment and renewal control to the admin. This is standard in 2025.

Pros

The technology works. The connection to the CRM works great. The quality of the data is good 50% of the time.

Cons

We changed our sales model and were not able to leave. Cognism's backend does not give uses the control of their account, which credit cards to use, or executing renewals. Therefore, we had changed our sales model, and they notified me I could not cancel our subscription and we were auto renewed and notified via an email from our rep that went to the spam filter. They need to be transparent with their contacting and renewal process. in 2025, SaaS platforms need to give Admins the ability to renew on the platform and control payment methods.

Pros

Cognism allows our commercial team to dramatically speed up the process of connecting with the prospects most important to us. The UI is clean and efficient, and the available API connection allows me even further efficiencies via agents I create. Quality of emails is high, and my experience with their team has been brilliant. Overall very happy with Cognism.

Cons

Nothing really. Cognism provides me and my team everything we need to be successful. We have our ideal prospects, and Cognism allows us to connect with them.

overall it's been exceedingly positive. They offer great customer support on top of a great user experience.

Pros

I found that managing my data became a lot more efficient as I was able to keep track of my prospect base in an efficient and convenient manner

Cons

I think that some of the details in the prospecting tool could be enhanced, it's hard to tell if someone is the right contact with just their job title.

the Value for money is really great as well as the fact it taken my teams performance to another level!

Cons

there isn't many thing to dislike about this software/tool, only thing I would criticize is maybe the fact when you create a list of leads everyone in your company can see your lists.

The Platform is useful for Operations teams doing bulky data work. The plugin is a great tool for sales users who regularly use Sales Navigator and Salesforce to enrich & export data

Cons

The contact data completion is lower in Germany than it is for the UK

My overall experience with Cognism has been very positive. It’s a powerful platform that genuinely empowers outbound sales teams with the data they need to be more effective and efficient. The accuracy of the contact data—especially mobile numbers via Diamond Data®—significantly improved our connect rates and reduced wasted effort.

Pros

What stood out the most to me about Cognism is how it combines data accuracy, ease of use, and sales-focused insights in one platform. As someone working closely with outbound teams, having access to mobile-verified contacts—especially through Diamond Data®—was a game changer. It removed the guesswork from prospecting and made cold outreach far more effective.

Cons

While Cognism is a strong platform overall, one area I felt could be improved was the depth of contact coverage in certain non-English-speaking markets outside of core regions like the UK and North America. For example, when prospecting into niche industries or countries like the Nordics or Eastern Europe, the number of mobile-verified contacts could sometimes be limited compared to more established regions.

We have a very positive experience of Cognism and have been using them for 2 years now to gather contact data for our sales and marketing teams to use in their outbound efforts/campaigns. The Hubspot integration and Chrome extension allows reps to act independently, making processes quicker. It also enables us to ensure data hygiene within the CRM through the "Enhance" feature, allowing us to check if job titles/contact data is accurate or up to date.

Pros

Data accuracy and quality vs competitors is high - we experience very low bounce rates from the emails we receive from Cognism. Also the integration with Hubspot and the chrome extension is very powerful and makes life so much easier for sales reps.

Cons

Bulk enrichment of contacts from a company CSV list is a little clunky and time consuming. Would be useful if you could directly import a list of domains/company names from Hubspot, like some email verification tools do.

maybe the status of people, I find on rarely someone doesn't work at that company any more. It can be annoying but its a very uncommon thing.

Cognism has been a huge help in my SDR role—it's made prospecting faster and more targeted. The quality of the data is strong, and it's helped me book more meetings with the right people.

Pros

Allows me to effectively target key personas immediately with good number quality, this allowed me to cut through less value adding tasks and get straight to the action.

Cons

One minor downside is that occasionally some direct dials or mobile numbers aren't available. However, this is pretty standard across all data providers and not unique to Cognism—no database is ever 100% complete. Overall, the platform saves me time and helps me build pipeline more efficiently. It's become an essential part of my sales toolkit.
