It's been generally good. As I've gotten more used to it, it's gotten faster to use which has made me like it better.

Pros

I just like having an inventory system at all. I love the organization. I like being able to move all of the items in a folder to another place also, as I have mobile shelves that change locations.

Cons

I haven't found it intuitive to add more of an existing product, especially by barcode, without ending up with duplicates. When items are stored in different places, it would be nice to have them linked to each other to tell you where the others are when you run out. If that is possible, I haven't found it.

### "Sortly is the inventory app that delivers!"

Sortly has assisted us in many ways, including minimizing costs, reducing time needed to manage our inventory, giving us the ability to quickly view our current inventory status, and greatly reducing paperwork.

Pros

Sortly is very easy to use. Support really listens to requests for enhancements and implements changes quickly. There are so many different ways to use this app.

Cons

We have been using Sortly for over a year and find minimal issues, and when we do, they are quickly addressed. One thing we would like is to have more available users in the Ultra package. We could utilize more of the features available within the app if more of our employees had a login and access to the app.

### "Unreasonable Subscription Model"

The ease of data capture and inventory creation for home users was offset by a bait and switch subscription model. We spent countless hours setting up our home inventory in their system only to find s ourselves held hostage by an escalating subscription model that just crested $299 per month. This is highway robbery for consumers who only use their system for managing a home inventory for insurance purposes. When one considers how businesses transact and manage an inventory vs a home user, it would seem relatively simple to create pricing models that focus on monthly transaction volume as opposed to just record count but they were unwilling to work with me on a reasonable solution other than reducing the items in my home inventory. We have since found an alternative solution that works similarly, could import csv data and that charges less than 10% of Sortly’s monthly subscription.

Pros

Excellent software. Easy to use. Mobile and web apps are great.

Cons

Ridiculous pricing model. Punitive to home inventory users who transact only once or twice per item and really only use the app for data storage. Unwilling to work with home inventory customers as their primary focus now is on business users.

### "New to Sortly "

We changed to Shortly about a year ago to track our construction inventory in our warehouse. it was easy to create folders for each job and track items and the QR codes on each individual box really helped our delivery team make sure they are taking the correct items to the correct job.

Pros

Easy to use for first time user. Helps inventory tracking for everyone in our company can see where and when/where things get delivered. Showing the rest of my team how to use the app really helped on tracking items down if I wasn't available to answer right away. The Sortly team always seems to be adding new features to help improve the app.

Cons

Can't just drag and drop files to folders. need more than 8 pics to add to a folder. In the phone app, I can't seem to open attached Emails in a folder but from the computer I can. Would be nice to attach more than 3 PDFs to a folder also.

Sortly is a great tool for inventory movements, but has some issues. Purchase orders allow you to track the item number, but that is not stored anywhere on the item itself.

Pros

Being able to move items from one folder to another, simulating actual locations.

Cons

The inability to not duplicate items based on the name, the pick list does not create reservations from the available inventory. Not being able to count inventory (cycle count) with predetermined fields and history of the count - the only way I have found to do a count is to insert a custom field and then delete it when I am finished with the count.

Overall, it has given us a much more automated approach to our inventory. It has made things simpler and take less time, which we appreciate!

Pros

Our favorite function that Sortly offers is the ability to review reports across all functions from inventory levels to user activity. When mistakes are made, we are able to see exactly where, and not let things fall through the cracks. Being able to backdate on that is huge for us. The ability to organize is also key, my team & I appreciate the folder/subfolder setup, and the integration with other software. We also love the ability to add photos, this makes it very easy for people of all knowledge levels to find what they're looking for.

Cons

We are not able to make changes to the unit after an item has been created, nor are we able to add variations to an existing item if not done initially during the creation of an item. These are our 2 quarrels at this time that we would love to see fixed.

It is a great tool for what we are doing, and I am very happy with it. Easy to navigate, easy to learn and overall, a great product. If I had one wish, it would be a module for maintenance attached to my fleet. It would be great to click on a truck or forklift record then manage all activity with that piece. I would also be happy if I can interface to maintenance software via EDI so I can use Sortly as my dashboard and entry portal. Aside from my greedy wish list, I love this product. Straight A's.

Photo capability, Unique ID system, cloning ability, editability.

Cons

I want to print an entire inventory report and can't seem to get that done. I also have redundant photos which I would like to drag into another record but can't. Lastly, I would like this to be available offline when I'm disconnected.

We have issues with notifications being inconsistent across devices occasionally.

We've been using the Sortly app for our inventory management needs and couldn’t be happier. The interface is incredibly user-friendly, and it has made organizing, tracking, and updating our items so much easier and more efficient. The ability to add custom tags, photos, and detailed notes helps us stay on top of everything with clarity and confidence. The mobile access is especially convenient, allowing our team to update inventory in real-time from anywhere. Customer support has also been responsive and helpful whenever we've had a question. Sortly has truly streamlined our operations—we highly recommend it to any business looking for a reliable and intuitive inventory solution.

Cons

One limitation we've noticed is that Sortly doesn't currently support having two different price fields for a single item (e.g., purchase price and resale price). This would be a helpful feature for businesses that manage both cost and selling prices. We hope this is something they consider adding in the future.

### "Makes our stockroom always ideal"

Sortly helps me to track all the contents of our stockroom so I do not have to second guess what is out of place or where. Every time it is much easier to find tools and spare parts as there are clear folders with product lines.

Cons

The one thing that I have analyzed is when I attempt to send large batches of data it will hold up longer than expected when I am updating our records to be audited annually.

Its great, one thing im not a fan of is they charge you like 1/2 off and then switch to a $400 cost the next year. Seems like a bait and switch but idk

You cant connect to a ticket printer, so you can't print out a physical pick ticket from a recipt printer

I love it for both my personal and business uses. I use it to track inventory at work and my freezer at home. Best tracking system I have found and have tried a ton!

Pros

Sortly is awesome for my personal and business life! I use it for both and the best part is you can add a ton of items for free but my work one we pay for because we need more options for items but I use it personally for keeping track of my freezers.

Cons

Doesn't scan a lot of items yet but I'm sure they're adding more every day. You can take your own pictures and the user interface is very easy.

Overall, I am satisfied with the Sortly app and how simple it is to use it. Some of my team members have no previous experience with this type of software, but Sortly is easy to navigate and use.

Pros

I enjoyed how simple it is to use Sortly. I am to create specific locations for my inventory and keep track of items that need to be retired or restocked. The team I work with also found the Sortly app easy to use and the web version was instrumental in helping us restructure our equipment warehouse and processes.

Cons

I would love to have an option to scan each item into the system. As it is right now I can scan a bar code but then have to manually enter the units or amounts that we are intaking. I would prefer to be able to scan the item's barcode and have the app update quantities. This will make the process a lot smoother and more effective. It would also be a great advantage to be able to use our own equipment (item) numbers instead of the ones generated by Sortly. This would make it easier to crossreference our inventory system with our internal documents.

I use Sortly for my baking inventory. I have over 500 cookie cutters and 700 stencils. I also use for my personal inventory for insurance purposes- jewelry, art, home purchases and medical records

I haven’t found anything I don’t like yet. I’ve been very satisfied with the application. Nothing bad to say

Sortly has helped me to communicate better with customers about the parts they need. It has reduced returns.

Pros

Being able to add photos of the parts. When sending out orders the customer can see what part is on the quote and I can see the availbility of the parts.

Cons

It is a little difficult to print reports. We dont use Excel sheets so it is a challenge. Other than that I love the program.

My overall experience has been pretty good, I’ve researched several options for inventory management mainly. Something standalone that I can integrate seamlessly with Microsoft office.

Pros

I appreciate the mobile functionality as I am on the go a lot, an app I can use to organize, sort, and keep track of inventory is vital for me. It’s really convenient to have an application that takes some of the manual tedious work away from my day.

Cons

Limited ability to assign multiple accounts for the logistics team. An authorized user or guest account would be great for when working with external vendors and medium size teams.

Great system, easy to use! a few minor flaws for my particular use

Pros

Easy to navigate through app, I like how you can move several things at once.

Cons

When your moving items I hate how you have to select each item and then hit “select all” if there’s more than one quantity. I wish there was a general button that just selected all the items.

We changed to Sortly from a terrible inventory app and the ease of using it is amazing

Pros

The ease of locating part in my inventory has been a great luxury for me. Absolutely love it!

Cons

So far I have not found anything about this app that I don’t love. Just a few characters typed in and there it is
