It's been generally good. As I've gotten more used to it, it's gotten faster to use which has made me like it better.

Pros

I just like having an inventory system at all. I love the organization. I like being able to move all of the items in a folder to another place also, as I have mobile shelves that change locations.

Cons

I haven't found it intuitive to add more of an existing product, especially by barcode, without ending up with duplicates. When items are stored in different places, it would be nice to have them linked to each other to tell you where the others are when you run out. If that is possible, I haven't found it.

Sortly has assisted us in many ways, including minimizing costs, reducing time needed to manage our inventory, giving us the ability to quickly view our current inventory status, and greatly reducing paperwork.

Pros

Sortly is very easy to use. Support really listens to requests for enhancements and implements changes quickly. There are so many different ways to use this app.

Cons

We have been using Sortly for over a year and find minimal issues, and when we do, they are quickly addressed. One thing we would like is to have more available users in the Ultra package. We could utilize more of the features available within the app if more of our employees had a login and access to the app.

### "Unreasonable Subscription Model"

The ease of data capture and inventory creation for home users was offset by a bait and switch subscription model. We spent countless hours setting up our home inventory in their system only to find s ourselves held hostage by an escalating subscription model that just crested $299 per month. This is highway robbery for consumers who only use their system for managing a home inventory for insurance purposes. When one considers how businesses transact and manage an inventory vs a home user, it would seem relatively simple to create pricing models that focus on monthly transaction volume as opposed to just record count but they were unwilling to work with me on a reasonable solution other than reducing the items in my home inventory. We have since found an alternative solution that works similarly, could import csv data and that charges less than 10% of Sortly’s monthly subscription.

Pros

Excellent software. Easy to use. Mobile and web apps are great.

Cons

Ridiculous pricing model. Punitive to home inventory users who transact only once or twice per item and really only use the app for data storage. Unwilling to work with home inventory customers as their primary focus now is on business users.

We changed to Shortly about a year ago to track our construction inventory in our warehouse. it was easy to create folders for each job and track items and the QR codes on each individual box really helped our delivery team make sure they are taking the correct items to the correct job.

Pros

Easy to use for first time user. Helps inventory tracking for everyone in our company can see where and when/where things get delivered. Showing the rest of my team how to use the app really helped on tracking items down if I wasn't available to answer right away. The Sortly team always seems to be adding new features to help improve the app.

Cons

Can't just drag and drop files to folders. need more than 8 pics to add to a folder. In the phone app, I can't seem to open attached Emails in a folder but from the computer I can. Would be nice to attach more than 3 PDFs to a folder also.

A great program, but not modular enough to suit a use case that needs high item amounts and users, but not a lot of the more complex features. We \*just\* need to track inventory, but we need to track a lot of it.

Pros

Easy to create folders and items, easy to change quantities, app makes it simple to teach others, reporting is robust.

Cons

Too many features that we don't use. This is especially frustrating when we have to then pay extra for features that will never be helpful to us. Enterprise edition should be an a la carte situation. We recently had to drop to Premium from Enterprise due to an exorbitant price hike of over 77%. That is an untenable change in price. Seeing as this was only our first year with Sortly, we can no longer feel secure that we won't be hit by another surprise price hike down the line, and will begin looking for alternatives as soon as possible.

Sortly is a great tool for inventory movements, but has some issues. Purchase orders allow you to track the item number, but that is not stored anywhere on the item itself.

Pros

Being able to move items from one folder to another, simulating actual locations.

Cons

The inability to not duplicate items based on the name, the pick list does not create reservations from the available inventory. Not being able to count inventory (cycle count) with predetermined fields and history of the count - the only way I have found to do a count is to insert a custom field and then delete it when I am finished with the count.

Overall, it has given us a much more automated approach to our inventory. It has made things simpler and take less time, which we appreciate!

Pros

Our favorite function that Sortly offers is the ability to review reports across all functions from inventory levels to user activity. When mistakes are made, we are able to see exactly where, and not let things fall through the cracks. Being able to backdate on that is huge for us. The ability to organize is also key, my team & I appreciate the folder/subfolder setup, and the integration with other software. We also love the ability to add photos, this makes it very easy for people of all knowledge levels to find what they're looking for.

Cons

We are not able to make changes to the unit after an item has been created, nor are we able to add variations to an existing item if not done initially during the creation of an item. These are our 2 quarrels at this time that we would love to see fixed.

The app can sometimes be hard to navigate, but no real issues! If you take the time to make folders and sort into categories it is worth it.

I helped when they set up our wearhouse the nee manager had no clue how to use or add things, i set up a lot of the items and jt was very easy.

Pros

ease of use for the end user, as a field service tech it is easy yo loonand see my inventory, as well as the inventory of other trucks near me.

Cons

It seems to lag or show the incorrect inventory occasionally. I wish it had a shopping cart, or macro keys you could set up for items that get used alot togather, so instead of having to move each item from your inventory to the store it was used, you could just add to the cart or list and then move the entire thing to the store or location where it was used.

I've been a customer since their first year, they have kept up a clean responsive product that has also evolved as my company has. I can't imagine running my inventory on a clunkier or messier system.

Pros

Its ease of use and integrates well in my business which only uses Apple products. QR codes are a game changer and helps keep me away from messy tedious excel sheets. Their portal for upvoting and requesting features with progress on if they are considering them or implementing them is fantastic as they actually do implement those changes.

Cons

Occasionally, it can descend without warning, and sometimes, the mobile application indicates a change, but it doesn't update the website.

Pros

I like the inventory management, and the search features. I do like the mobile app as you can scan items barcodes and Sortly will do its best to lookup the UPC and pull the info for you saving you time.

Cons

I dont like that there is a limit to the amount of subfolders you can have which made us re-organize our entire inventory layout. I also dont like that using a barcode scanner on the computer is very very limited compared to other inventory software.

Cons

On multiple occasions, their support team has been responsive and helpful, which has made a big difference when we’ve needed assistance. Pros

What I like best about Sortly is how visually intuitive it is. Being able to use photos for each item makes identifying tools fast and accurate, and the app is so easy to use that everyone on the team was able to pick it up with minimal training.

Cons

It would be useful to have more granular control over user access levels. Right now, permissions are a bit too broad for our needs.

Busy view, it took time to locate the right place with the right catalog. View cumulates different past and present catalogs items. Interest vs final orders sheet not clear at first. Confusing.

Pros

Nothing really. It works well, but it is another tool using excel like sorting method; not adding value to our process in my pov.

Cons

Interface is busy, we need to get familiar to understand and avoid mistake. But, we are just using it twice a year (we cannot select the proper frequency of use in the next page. I would put "6 months") I see an extra tool as an extra possibility for mistakes. I would aim to have the same tool for VA and displays so we have all info at the same place. No confirmation of order is a pity.

it's all digital. I like the number of ways to make notes for a product and the reports are super when viewed on the computer screen.

Cons

When it updates, sometimes it loses a file after an update, even if it has been saved. The reports don't print big enough

Sortly is a great asset for our company. We provide services to special needs children and all of the products needed for therapy is inventoried through Sortly.

Pros

Being able to keep an account of our supplies in one place, in an organized way. We are able to keep up with who has supplies checked out and where to find anything we need.

Cons

It can be hard to navigate the label printing process. It's not terrible. I eventually figure it out.

Has been a great help to control my stocks, very satisfied. Turns out to be a great help to control all the products, we use in the company I work for.

Pros

Its faster and so easy to navigate, i can control all my stock, easy acess to the pages. Also all the products are easy to identifying.

Cons

Nothing, I am very pleased in general. Has been very helpful. All the organizations of the products, make my work more easier.

Pros

The ease of locating part in my inventory has been a great luxury for me. Absolutely love it!

Cons

So far I have not found anything about this app that I don’t love. Just a few characters typed in and there it is
