Emergency Management Specialist Government Administration Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Sortly is a great tool for inventory management" February 10, 2025 4.0 We don't use it everyday, but when we do it is very helpful in tracking and maintaining our inventory. I hope to figure out if there is a way to give a link to our partners who sue our equipment so that they can reserve items through the system, they get a response saying the item is pending reservation approval or is unavailable, the system puts the item on hold, then we get a notification that a request has been made to check out an item. I haven't had time to paly around with the system long enough to see if this is even possible. Pros It's easy to use and I like that there is an accompanying phone app. Cons I wish it came with a barcode scanner. It would make loading and dispensing items much easier. Pros Ability to use phones as scanners. The fast uploads and downloads. Multiple can scan at once. Cons We would appreciate a scan time stamp. May 6, 2025 5.0 Sortly helped me get my Electrical gear in order. Apart from a few things I had in my work shed i had no idea of what stock I had. After several weekends inputting my stock into Sortly I now have $20K of stock I didn't know i had. Pros Easy to input items into sortly. I like that you can scan a bar code which makes finding things quicker. Cons I have not found any major problems with Sortly but because i have a large amount of stock i sometimes get new stock in and put it into Sortly not knowing i already have stock of this product. not sure whether this would not occur if i used barcode scanner for all products entered. It is a lot easier for Companies to be able to price compare when you can assimilate the price for certain items with the vendors and then compare prices across the vendor lists. Also I am excited that we are getting quickbooks and I can connect the two! I am really hoping it will give me a complete feel between the two systems. App allows for as many folders, subfolders as desired. Cons expensive for what we use it for. I don't use it as inventory for sales, but as a library for all of the architectural samples we have in our office. Pros I like how easy and user friendly the program is. Cons The functionality is not that great. I think the POs should be able to be exported into an excel file, I also think there should be an option to pick one folder for all line items on a PO to be received into. It is easy for almost anyone to pick up and runs on most phones. I am very excited to see where it goes as I see regular improvements. Pros Don't need external hardware. Can scan right from your phone with clean pics to compare with your inventory. Website layout is intuitive and easy to use. Cons Copying large folders can have issues. Syncing is improving but our counters have to regularly make their phones manually sync before they start their counts.
