Pros: What I like about LMI Central, in the premiere package, is the bundling of Anti-Virus and now application management and updates. The ease of being able to remotely access an end-user's workstation is what totally sells me on the software. In the past, I had to have VPN access to my work network or with other tools, I could only use Windows to access end-users over the web but with LMI, its platform agnostic and they have a great mobile app for iOS and Android that allows you to connect to anyone in your list from virtually any device.

Cons: The biggest drawback in my use is the ability to push Windows updates, Anti-Virus installs and application updates. There is a fairly intuitive panel to push out all the requests but using it is like trying to crochet with space gloves, as you never get a real sense of feedback that the changes you requested are actually being implemented in near-real time. Sometimes the end-users workstations falsely report that they are missing installations that I know they are not, so there is a lot of fiddling with the end-users workstation in order to get it to report to LMI correctly. Also, when you've subscribed to the package that includes anti-virus installs, there is no way to centrally manage the AV, as its provided by a third party.

Overall: I was able to wrangle in all of my end-users into one unified platform to both maintain windows and application updates and push out anti-virus installations.

Pros: Centralized Computer Management.

Its a SAAS applicaiton

Different login options ,

taking control of keyboard and mouse along with Alt, Ctrl, and delete

Blanking screen to hide your activity on terminal.

Adjusting screen resolution and blank and white option make it fast to remote and perform activity on computer

Cons: You can't disable the already remote session even with high privileges user so if two user are trying to get connected the last one will get access and you can't see who was already connected.

You have to give admin rights to user if you want him to add more user into his team you can't do it with power user type thing.

Support is terrible. If you send an invite to user the step by step process takes him to create his personal profile instead of group where you wan't to add him, so you have to tell user how exactly he can create one under group. You can't disable personal profile if created

Overall: It works with very basic internet connection too while other application fails.

If session is breaking, you can tweak by minimizing the scree resolution, and disabling desktop backgroud.

Pros: There is something really special about logmein. This software rocks!

when you manage several companies, several computers, servers, and remote users you know you have your hands full.

Logmein is one of the greatest to help you achieve just that.

You can create groups (companies), assign users to the groups, give them rights to those groups, have computers in the groups... and you can manage all of those computers and connect to them remotely.

Depending on the version you can do things remotely without having to sing into the computer and know everything you need to know about the status of the computer from a single place (the Central).

I have rarely had an issue or a problem with it, it was awesome to be able to control and help free users (no longer an option) and know that no matter what you have the right tool to connect every single time.

Deployment is also extremely simple

Cons: The only thing I did not love was the fact that they removed the free version.

By doing so they removed the option to have people who are starting out to build their business.

They also forced several people into finding alternatives that would not be as expensive.

Overall: This is the one I chose every single time.

I was one of the first users of logmein and I fell in love with it from the beginning.

I have been a loyal customer and I always recommend it.

Few companies have achieved a level of mastery like logmein has.

Simply the top choice for IT professionals like me.

Pros: It's easy to use even with hundreds of computers set up, all organized into group folders with a wealth of information available to you before you even remote connect to the user's computer. It has a huge array of customization options and features to access without ever feeling overwhelming, and has support information and access right from the main page.

It's extremely useful for remote management, in addition to just being impressive to clients.

Cons: They are, bar none, the best remote access and support software on the market. This however means that when they raise their prices, which they seem to do every year, you're left to either take it and raise your own prices slightly, or eat the loss.

They also seem to have dropped the live chat support feature, as it's always marked "Offline" on the support drop-down even though it's within the posted hours.

Overall: I can't imagine doing my job without this software. Things would be so much more clunky and take twice as long without it. It's that good and that important for offering remote support.

Seamless remote access to all workstations eliminating otherwise time consuming visits in person for simple support tasks.

Comments: I have used many remote software applications and LogMeIn is hands down the most useful and versatile player in the market. There is nothing I have found the program incapable of accomplishing and I am constantly learning new features that save me time and my clients money. It would take hours to relay all of the benefits of LogMeIn for the real world IT professional.

Pros: Instant access to multiple networks through one account interface. Easy setup and deployment of software packages and scripts for multiple scheduled maintenance tasks. File transfers are simply drag and drop convenient. With a wide range of collected data at disposal, workstation health is displayed for all aspects of computer function. There is an option to remotely power on and off computers and manage services without the need to remotely take over the computer.

Cons: The only change I would like to see is to eliminate the disconnect that happens momentarily while updating the LogMeIn client software. (It automatically reconnects without intervention.)

I have used LogMeIn since 2011 and my work would be nearly impossible without it.

Pros: LogMeIn is a super stable remote access to other computers that I have rarely had issues with in supporting my clients. I am able to access any of the 50 computers I work with instantly, an many at the same time from either the web portal or desktop application. LogMeIn also includes several IT functions that allow sharing of files & remote rebooting of the client computers.

Cons: The cost is higher than some competing remote access software, so unless you have a lot of remote computers you work with you could probably find a cheaper solution. They also don't have as many extra IT functions with my plan that I can find with a few free offerings out there, such as auto-reconnect once the remote system has rebooted, or a remote Windows Task Manager.

Overall: It is consistently stable and manageable for my company. I can literally triple my support of other clients with this software.

Pros: We use mostly the free edition of license for our customers within Central, we use other RMMs to obtain Pro if need be (remote printing, file sharing, etc...)

It is easy to give remote access to employees of our customers

Adding remote users is simple and easy

I don't have to keep track of passwords, if a customer forgets theirs, they simply perform the forgot my password routine

The interface is simple and there is not much to learn

Cons: Somewhat limited with free licenses (remote printing, file sharing)

That's about the only issues I have with it.

Overall: We have around 480 client desktops on LMI. Some servers, most desktops. We do like their are a local business (we are in the Boston area) and that they are easy to reach. It has allowed us to do a lot more remote support than making physical trips. Travel time and sending a tech can be expensive.

Really powerful back-end management of all of your PCs and Servers - at a cost!

Comments: LogMeIn is a wonderful piece of software that is very easy to install, and requires little to no maintenance. I just wish that they would stick with one price and stand behind it.

Pros: Fully functional command prompt, registry editor, event viewer, task manager, service manager, etc., WITHOUT having to take over the PC you are working on! This makes troubleshooting and running scripts on remote computers extremely easy, as you don't have to wait until off-hours since you don't have to take over the actual computer. It's got a great system for organizing your computers into groups, and it's HIPAA compliant with all of the auditing and tracking required.

Cons: It's very expensive, and they keep raising their prices. They've raised prices by 3 times over the past 3 years. I expect this will continue.

Pros: LogMeIn Central allows technical support specialists to view the end-users machine from anywhere in the world. You can transfer files, shadow their session, or share your desktop with them.

Cons: The multiple sub-tiers of the product are a bit confusing. LogMeIn Central... Central basic, Central Plus, Central, Premium. We have the middle level. Some of the articles LogMeIn has says features are available for Central, then at the bottom of the article is clarifies it is only for the Premium members.

Overall: Shadowing an end-user session from anywhere in the world is priceless. When a user cannot get on the network, but they can at least get on a webpage, you can LogMeIn to their machine and get them up and running in no time.

Pros: I like most that it gives me the ability to work from my home computer. I am able to log in within about 2 minutes and has saved me numerous trips to my office. I've used it in both my accounting and sales job and it really does keep my work info at my fingertips. Another great thing is that it gives our CPA the ability to remote in to get any documentation she needs without having to contact me.

Cons: Set up is a little demanding but their customer service reps helped. It is also a little slow, there is a definite lag especially when opening reports.

Pros: LogMeIn allows me to singlehandedly support almost 100 computers. Unless there is a poor connection, there is no noticeable lag time. Lot's of tools and file transfer are handy too.

Cons: As a product it is pretty much perfect, at least for my needs. I can't think of anything that I would like to see change except that I would like to see the price come down a bit.

Overall: I have been using LogMeIn since they have been in business. I write data management software for small businesses. LogMeIn allows me to support many times the number clients that I could possibly do without it.

Pros: It takes care of the basic necessities extremely well. Many of the more advanced features are buggy or of limited usability.

Cons: The bugs and the limitations of the advanced features. VERY pricey for what it is. Without substantial discounts, it is a very poor value.

Overall: We have used LogMeIn Central since it started. It used to be lightweight, solid as a rock, and before all of the price increases, an excellent value. All of the stuff added since then is either hard to use, buggy, or has many limitations. In addition, the price has skyrocketed. Every year at renewal time we look at replacing it.

Pros: We utilize this for access to our clients servers and reports on their status. We use the power on tool and help give clients software support companies access to the server temporarily as needed.

Cons: When we give someone temporary access to a server the two factor authentication for these accounts we have to remember to turn it off. Wish we could do that in the settings when we create a temp account.

Overall: We use the reporting and management tools provided to give us great access and ease of use to manage our clients servers and computers.

Pros: This is an easy option for getting remote access into customer computers. Makes my job a whole lot easier.

Cons: The only thing I can think of is I wish it were a bit cheaper. My company doesn't use or need all of the features. We only need remote access to a lot of computers

Overall: Working in the commercial heating and air conditioning industry, it's vital to be able to connect to customer sites to troubleshoot issues when the arise. A lot of times, a fix can be as easy as changing a set point which could take hours to drive to do. This cuts the time to minutes.

Pros: I like how easy it is to use when I am out of the office and need access to my desktop. It has saved my work life many a times when I need a document for my boss or information for my client while working remotely.

Cons: They recently added a program to download to be able to access your computer as opposed to viewing it through your internet browser. The only problem with this can be downloaded something when there are restrictions on your computer that won't allow you to take this action.

Pros: We are able to address issues with customers immediately. Also, like we like the dual authentication to login, it gives another level of security to our dashboard with all of our customers systems in it

Cons: Cost. As a small company it is a little spendy. But, in the other hand it has a lot of features that we use.

Overall: We have been using Logmein Central for about 5 years and it has worked real well for us. We mainly use to support customers servers and manage AD for our customers

Comments: I tell my friends about this software all the time and I recomend it to any others IT techs that need to use remote software!

Pros: LogMeIn is by far the best remote software I've used. Having over 200 remote computers at various different business locations can be hard to keep organized but not wtih LogMeIn. LogMeIn easily lets you catolog machines by subfolders and it even lets you setup installation deployments!

Cons: I honestly cannot say there is anything about LogMeIn that I feel can be classified as a con! I love the software and I use it on a daily basis. With an average of 350 computers connected to it.

Pros: We have clients that we are not able to vpn or rdp to since they have their own networks. We use logmein to remote into the computers that run our software so we can troubleshoot issues. This software is pretty smooth and easy to use for what we use it for. The process to configure it is simple and any one can manage this. My overall use of this is everyday 8hrs a day. well made software.

Cons: At times it can be a heavy resource constraint on a computer that is limited with hardware. It could use some updates to it's functions but not a bad con, more like a minimal con.

Pros: This tool has simplified remote connection and remote management of PCs. We use it for about 250 PCs. Our IT staff love it due to its reliability and ease of use. Our staff love it because it makes it trivial for IT staff to fix their machines remotely.

Cons: The price has been going up every year. It is getting expensive enough that we may have to look for a more cost effective solution.

Pros: The best remote access software I have used. It is a simple, easy, and secure way to access a computer without being in front of it.

Cons: This product used to have a free version. The subscription cost goes up every year. At one point, I accessed all of my computers (home and 2 offices) with this software. I currently only see the need to pay their subscription fee on 2 computers.

Pros: We use the user management, antivirus management, system health monitoring and computer grouping according to location, access and permission frequently to keep on eye on everything and compared to the other software we looked at this has been a great buy for us.

Cons: The only major issue that I have with this product isn't even with the product, it is with the customer support that assists whenever an issue comes up. Being escalated to different tiers of support until you are able to get to the person who can actually help you.

Pros: Flexible subscription options. The charts & reports are very useful.

Pros: It's features are nice and it handles multiple monitors better than most apps of similar design. It's IOS apps are terrific

Cons: It disconnects---a lot. This doesn't appear to be unique to a machine/network--it just times out very quickly despite changing those settings. It's easy to connect again--but frustrating to do so every 10 or so minutes.

Pros: This software helps us to track all our organization pc's in one place. The dashboard allows you to see the health, updates and antivirus statuses of the organization.

Cons: Not inexpensive. When using this product in a large organization the cost can be quite high in order to track all of your assets.

Pros: Managing all our clients was easy with Logmein Central. We could easily see who's online, or not. Manage updates, easily obtain remote access, and all the other features are a huge plus.

Cons: I couldn't really find a huge downside to this software. Their support is amazing, the features are up there with all of their competitors.

Pros: It allows me to easily access a multitude of remote computers

Cons: Not consistently displaying which computers are currently offline without having to manually refresh my client.

Overall: Our business has multiple remote units consisting of 2-5 computers all over the world. Logmein Central allows us to view./manage and troubleshoot these systems with ease.

Pros: I love this because we run multiple sites and most of them are ran remotely. When one has an issue with door codes I can just hop on log me in and check out the issue on that computer on site.

Cons: If you forget your password it locks you out for quite a while before being able to log back in again.

Pros: When traveling and working out of the area, LogMeIn keeps me connected to my desktop and sever. Once everything is downloaded, you are good to go! Very simple log in.

Cons: The price did go up, but considering what you're receiving, I understand. To be able to stay connect while away is truly priceless.

Pros: Once you download the software to your home computer, you can access the office server in minutes! We can view the office schedule and other information and utilize our dental management software from home. Very convenient.

Cons: Once in awhile, there are connectivity issues, or the server kicks you off when the remote access computer is idle too long. It is a bit frustrating but happens only rarely.

Pros: I like that it's extremely fast to connect into devices. The UI is very responsive as well so it makes navigating and connecting VERY fast. I have had excellent session quality with this product.

Cons: The cost is higher than other products with similar features. The "remember my password" setting to connect is saved per computer, not globally, so it must be saved for each computer you connect into.

Pros: The ability to access all of my computers that I need to remotely. Great tool if I need to work from home, need to be on the factory floor, or am trying to access one of my computers between two different networks.

Cons: Sometimes there is quite a bit of a lag time involved that can be a little frustrating to deal with. Also, sometimes the screen resolution is not that great and is a little bit pixelated. Trying to connect to a two-monitor setup is also challenging at times.

Overall: Easy and simple remote access to various computers. I can pretty much do whatever I need to do - even if it's across multiple networks.

Pros: I like that I can set a code that gets emailed to me that is required before logging in, since there are so many attempted logins from other countries. There's a lot of personal information on my computer, so obviously I would like to keep it that way. It's great that it's free, but that goes without saying.

Cons: When I called customer service about all of the attempted logins from around the world, they were very unimpressed and said not to worry about it. Also, it would be a lot nicer to be able to use a keyboard and mouse just as if you were sitting at that computer instead of manipulating the screen around.

Pros: More functionality than chrome remote desktop, as you can transfer files. I also like the ease with which you can switch between monitors and the capability of blacking out the screen at the host computer.

Cons: It is slower and choppier; also, making the screen big enough to read clearly on the remote computer remains an issue. I'd like to see this a little faster, a little smoother, and with greater resolution.

Pros: I loved the stay at home and log in to the office feature. It makes working from home so much easier and functional. Multiple people could use it from our office and it is wonderful.

Pros: Logmein enables you to remotely log into computers. It works well, even allowing you to import/export files directly (which is not possible through Chrome remote desktop). It works a little better than Chrome as well; faster, smoother operations, and more natural when working with multiple screens

Cons: The additional functionality of logmein, when compared to Chrome remote desktop (a free option) was not enough for me to continue using it; unless you're a heavy user, I suggest sticking with free software

Pros: When connected, either via a desktop or mobile phone, it's fairly easy to use. It retains credentials and makes connections easy. Its mobile phone interface is among the best I've seen.

Cons: First, the cost. They've taken a product that at one time was free, then paid for, then bumped the price to where it's not cost effective vs. the competition. Next, multi-screen monitors are not nearly as easy to navigate between as other competitive products. Other less used features, like remote printing or file transfer are relegated to their even more expensive product, Pro. Last, it takes longer to establish a connection than I think it should.

Pros: Easy to use, the fast setup can see multiple monitors, the iPhone app.

Cons: The cost has gone up, but it is worth the price.

Overall: I used this to remote to my office computer from anywhere. I can easily remote in, see both of my monitors, and navigate as if I am in my office. I highly recommend this product.

Pros: Trusted software that is easy to setup and just works which is what you want. Support for multiple platforms for multiple environments.

Cons: A little more expensive than other options. I generally don't like leaving programs running in the background but I make an acception for log me in.

Pros: Easy to use. When out of the office, can easily login.

Cons: There is nothing about the product that I don't like.

Comments: Overall I rate this product very high. I get on a lot of various conference calls throughout my week and this tool is a necessity.

Pros: I've been using Open Voice for a while to conduct my conference calls and its been a great product. I even get an email summary after my call that I can record and track if necessary

Cons: We have had issues in the past with people getting on the conference lines, but that has been minimal.

A must-have for anyone who needs remote access

Pros: The wake on lan feature is great and the web browser access is really convenient especially if you need emergency access and you don't have your computer/laptop with you and need to use someone else's machine.

Cons: There is very little to complain about it feature-wise. The only downside is the price which made me look for cheaper alternatives.

Pros: I like the easy to use dashboard and the easy connection process.

Cons: I don't like the cost for the professional account. It was just too much for my small business.

Overall: If you can stick with the free plan, it is a great and easy to use tool.

Helpful when you can't be in a million places at once

Pros: Overall, we found LogMeIn easy to install and connect. Employees then have to create a LogMeIn account and designate their computer as the host computer, including creating and sharing a passcode, which they share with the administrator. However, once the program is installed, the credentials can be saved to speed up the login and connection process for future sessions.

Cons: The initial setup process is more involved and complicated for the host computer than it is for the admin.

Pros: I work remotely and sometimes need to assist my team members with computer issues. LogMeIn allows me to log into their computer so I can trouble shoot and correct the problem.

Cons: Ran into some issues with logging in but was able to remedy the situation. I had saved the password on the log in pop-up and after a while it locked me out of the computer I was trying to access. Had to go through a few steps to clear the error but was able to get back in. Removing the saved password has kept me from running into this problem again.

Recommended by my tech support, surprised how easy

Comments: This was indispensable when working from home.

Pros: This is an accessible and, convenient way to share your desktop with anyone. It allows remote access to one computer from another as long as they are both turned on.

Cons: I which you could link two computers in one move, not having to do it twice. Otherwise I would not change anything

Pros: I love how easy it is to use! With other remote desktop connection apps, you have to look up specific VPN credentials. With LogMeIn, the initial setup for a customer site takes place and the work to connect each time after that is minimal.

Cons: Sometimes there seems to be quite a bit of a delay in LogMeIn. i.e. a server will appear occupied by a team member when it hasn't been accessed for hours. Usually refreshing the client resolves this, but it can be annoying.

Pros: This is a good centralization software that allows you to really control many of machines. I love how I can push patches across the network.

Cons: The software can be very expensive especially for smaller businesses. The interface is cumbersome and intimidating to green users.

Pros: Logmein is absolutely perfect when needing remote access to computers. We have used it to help employees with problems they have had and also to assist with installations of programmes.

Cons: No real cons to speak of as such. The software is quick and easy to use. It has been unresponsive once or twice.

Pros: Good software, does what it needs to do, easy to learn and easy to install, gives me remote access to my computers and let's me print remotely

Cons: the software keeps on getting more and more expensive, they try to give discounts, but it is way overpriced. Also support is not north American based and they seem to not really are or know the product that much.

Overall: Gives me goof remote access to my computers when I need it. But it is the same remote access that a dozen other products do.
