Have been using Logmein and Logmein Central for almost 10 years and it has been an important tool in maintaining our customers systems remotely.

Pros

Just a reliable and reasonably easy to us remote control tool.

Pros

The best thing about LogMeIn is that I know what is happening from beginning to end. I especially like that I can end the session, and it is clear that the person who was logged on remotely is no longer traversing through my system.

Cons

To begin the session is a multi-step process of the request, a code, and then connection, but this is a minor thing, and these steps take less than a minute. So, is it a con? As far as cons go, it's a small one.

Pros

I work remotely and sometimes need to assist my team members with computer issues. LogMeIn allows me to log into their computer so I can trouble shoot and correct the problem.

Cons

Ran into some issues with logging in but was able to remedy the situation. I had saved the password on the log in pop-up and after a while it locked me out of the computer I was trying to access. Had to go through a few steps to clear the error but was able to get back in. Removing the saved password has kept me from running into this problem again.

Pros

I love how easy it is to use! With other remote desktop connection apps, you have to look up specific VPN credentials. With LogMeIn, the initial setup for a customer site takes place and the work to connect each time after that is minimal.

Cons

Sometimes there seems to be quite a bit of a delay in LogMeIn. i.e. a server will appear occupied by a team member when it hasn't been accessed for hours. Usually refreshing the client resolves this, but it can be annoying.

Pros

Simplicity of managing multiple computers.

Cons

Cost per seat is high, and it's easy to inadvertently add clients then lock yourself out because they are over the limit.

Pros

The best remote access software I have used. It is a simple, easy, and secure way to access a computer without being in front of it.

Cons

This product used to have a free version. The subscription cost goes up every year. At one point, I accessed all of my computers (home and 2 offices) with this software. I currently only see the need to pay their subscription fee on 2 computers.

Great tool and has prevented many issues with customers due to its use.

Pros

Great tool for remote sessions. Easy to access as a user and easy to provide to clients requiring assistance.

Cons

Did not like how the client needs to download the LogMeIn application in order for me to access their device. I know it is necessary but is extra work for the external user.

Pros

Ease of use and deployment options. Stellar security history and proactive approach.

Cons

Some limitations in features only available in MUCH higher prices (pro vs. central and the gap in price) as well as some bugs that occur here and there. Definitely not enough negatives to make me use another software.

Pros

the ease of use-LogMeIn has everything our small office needs-meets all of our current needs. Allows me to log in and do billing, post payments, and do recalls in an efficient manner--from anywhere.

Cons

I don't think the software has any cons for our small medical office. I am the only user so it would be hard to evaluate how software would work for a large office with multiple people logging in. However, it meets all of our needs so I don't see why there would be any problems with a larger office.

Pros

This is a good centralization software that allows you to really control many of machines. I love how I can push patches across the network.

Cons

The software can be very expensive especially for smaller businesses. The interface is cumbersome and intimidating to green users.

We have 15 computers and will be growing that beyond 25 within the next six months. It's the most convenient way to access them all, anywhere, anytime. Even when travelling on an international flight, if on my of in-store managers has an issue, I'm able to login and assist. The value on this is priceless.

Pros

Ease of use. Always reliable. I have never had one single login error, ever. This says alot! We use other major software platforms and they often go down for "Maintenance" at least once per week.

Cons

I have nothing negative to say about the software.

I’ve been using log me in for years for my business. Although is business friendly some fees for remote printing and remote turn on/off it’s been pricey for a small business owner

Pros

That it’s portable and accessible from any device

Cons

The lag of time once connected to a computer. Especially when working in specific software you could have up to 10-15 second delays

Pros

Love the remote control feature. Love having health monitoring, antivirus, windows updates, and alerts all under one product.

Wish it had the ability to monitor firewalls and switches.

Overall, I am very satisfied with LogMeIn. I have been a user for about six years.

Pros

Being able to use this software and work from home on certain days has been a lifesaver. I'm able to work from home two days a week and look after an ill family member. It has been so helpful in me being able to keep up with my heavy workload.

Cons

The screen shows up much smaller than the original when I am working from home. It also tends to go much slower than if I was actually in my office.

love the product, use it all the time, just wish it was easier to log in, as we have multiple computers to log into, and with each one being different, can take a while to get in, also wish the screen display was better, as sometimes things are hard to read

ability to access clients computers to see what the real issues are can work from home, or on the road and work as if you are at the office

Cons

the display is hard to read, as its no where near hi def the logging in thru passwords can be difficult and cumbersome

When traveling and working out of the area, LogMeIn keeps me connected to my desktop and sever. Once everything is downloaded, you are good to go! Very simple log in.

Cons

The price did go up, but considering what you’re receiving, I understand. To be able to stay connect while away is truly priceless.

I love this because we run multiple sites and most of them are ran remotely. When one has an issue with door codes I can just hop on log me in and check out the issue on that computer on site.

Cons

If you forget your password it locks you out for quite a while before being able to log back in again.

Having quick access at any of my computers to control remote equipment in the Caribbean has improved our workflow in a great manner.

Pros

How you can list all your equipment you need and save them to your users. It's fantastic when you are dealing with more than 100 computers remotely.

Cons

It's not as fast as other options when you are and the refresh rate is not optimal but is not a big deal.
