Pros

Cuts down on travel time when troubleshooting simple issues.

Cons

Cost - which we could afford more We are non-profit so our funds are limited.

### "Help From A Distance"

My overall experience was great and I would recommend this to anyone who needs to fix any computer related issues from a distance. It makes life much easier.

Pros

I'm a big fan of this software because it has come in handy several times. Unfortunately, it's not something I'd have to use every day but in the event that I or myself needs assistance, it can be quite helpful. From what I remember, it's easy to use and the interface is pleasant enough so there's no confusion on what you're supposed to do. We used this program to help my mother once when I was 4000 miles away. She's not very computer savvy but even she was able to grasp what was going on and we eventually fixed the issue. I also utilized this software when I was interning for the city and it made my life much easier.

Cons

My issues aren't with the software per se but with other related issues. For instance, working with someone else who has a slower internet connection makes things a bit tedious. I remember a lot of skipping and jumping with the cursor as well as other speed related issues. Other than this, I honestly cannot remember disliking anything about the software itself.

I use LogMeIn daily for remote access and support of our workforce. It works really well and allows me to complete administrative tasks without needing the user to do anything. The pricing has gone up. I wish there was a lower tier for those that don't need things like the built in AZ.

Pros

Logmein Central works reliably and automatic updates to clients is easy to manage. Able to share remote access logins with other people.

Cons

Logmein is becoming way to expensive. The interface is slow and showing its age. Many better and cheaper options available.

Pros

This is an excellent tool to have, if you can afford the annual fee. A testament to its utility is its clientele, which includes big names like "Au Bon Pain". It is admittedly confusing to navigate for anyone who is not tech savvy, but, with a bit of training and familiarizing, anyone with basic knowledge of computer systems can manage and monitor their software remotely to great effect. Highly recommended.

Cons

If you are a small business, this might not be the best solution, as the annual billing fee is a bit on the steep side - especially since you won't likely be needing most of its features or remote monitoring technology until you grew to be big enough for your own abilities to be spread too thin to be effective.

The thing that's really cool is the shared whiteboard. Our team can really work together to brainstorm or throw out ideas.

Pros

I like that you can manage remote desktops with this software. Not all remote access programs let you manage remote hardware and look at software on the remote computer. I also like the shared Whiteboard where you and other people connected to work together with and see each others work instantly.

Cons

The only thing that is a little frustrating is the amount of time it can take for the remote PC to set up as a host. It takes longer to set up the host than the admin PC.

Pros

Groups are easy to manage. Reports provide good detail about activity.

Cons

Better way to look at all screens if the endpoint has multiple screens.

Pros

Cons

The price has quadrupled since I started with LogMeIn.

Pros

Once you download the software to your home computer, you can access the office server in minutes! We can view the office schedule and other information and utilize our dental management software from home. Very convenient.

Cons

Once in awhile, there are connectivity issues, or the server kicks you off when the remote access computer is idle too long. It is a bit frustrating but happens only rarely.

Everything is so easy to manage. I especially like how reports give details about any activity. Overall, nice secure product for remote access.

Cons

There are no cons that are going to make us think of alternative. Maybe it's a little bit pricey, but it's worth it. If you haven't tried it, now is the perfect time for it.

working from home not having to put addition on building to have extra work force was wonderful.

Pros

I loved the stay at home and log in to the office feature. It makes working from home so much easier and functional. Multiple people could use it from our office and it is wonderful.

Cons

Sometimes I would get locked out or find the connection very slow and that might just be the internet provider's responsibility.

Pros

Like being at work without, you know, actually being at work. Access to your network and your local machine from the comfort of anywhere.

Cons

The screen resolution seems to be a little off, and a there's a little more lag than if you're at your desk.

Pros

I like that I can set a code that gets emailed to me that is required before logging in, since there are so many attempted logins from other countries. There’s a lot of personal information on my computer, so obviously I would like to keep it that way. It’s great that it’s free, but that goes without saying.

Cons

When I called customer service about all of the attempted logins from around the world, they were very unimpressed and said not to worry about it. Also, it would be a lot nicer to be able to use a keyboard and mouse just as if you were sitting at that computer instead of manipulating the screen around.

LogMeIn acts as a storage and people can share documents and contents as long as you're shared by the organizer. It's simple and easy to use for everyone.

Cons

When a lot of people are shared, it is possible for someone to delete files by accident.

Pros

LogMeIn makes running a business easier by being able to teach employees pertinent training/information by connecting computers and demonstrating virtually together.

Cons

Sometimes if an area of one of the participants have a slow or shaky internet connection, it makes it difficult to interact with one another on-line.

The ease of connecting with remote IT for problems we are having on site. We are only on the users side of this product.

I don't have any negatives to mention. We do not have an account with LogMeIn, only been on the users side.

My experience with LogMeIn Central is just meh, it could be better or could be worse.

Pros

Very clean UI and seems relatively fast. Not a large install, chat features work decently. Not my first choice but works well.

Cons

Clunky with older machines, no quality control for slow connections, chat can be laggy. Seems to be rather expensive for what it does.
