Pros I really like the home page where you can see the latest info on new emails on files, the files you recently used and the important website links. Templates are very useful and also the preview when you click on a file in activity and doing a brief. Cons Not being able to use the full functionality such as scanning post and assigning to file, not being able to use the email in thread to send and receive attachments without the worry of it not going out or going in the unassigned emails, not being able to rename and date an attachment before dragging it in the thread add on to the file. Customizing fields I found a bit tricky. Not being able to use the call option if a client rang and being on the file. Pros easy to set up and scale. easy to use and effective at matter management and client management. potential for additional functionality. Cons some aspects are more complicated than necessary, for example setting up new matters for existing clients. the one suggestion i have is, the service seems to have been created with litigation and certain other specific areas of law in mind, wherewas i dont know why that is necessary - the service is flexible enough that we can name fields as we like, and that is very useful, but not all law firms do the specific types of laws that you have built into the initial core. so my recommendation would be to make it more agnostic and let the law firms define what the legal fields are. Cons What I have liked the least is the lack of integration of Thread with other billing Software such as TSheets from Quickbooks, which we use to record time entries for our legal staff as well as run bills/invoices.
