Pros I started using Elementor for my WordPress page only a few weeks ago. I have heard of Elementor way back 2016 when it was first released and when the hype about it was at the peak. I did not actually attempted to download it before since I had the technical part outsourced. Now that I discovered Elementor, I am pretty much convinced that I don't need to pay someone else to do the page building because Elementor had made it simple and manageable even for newbies like me. Here are the pros and cons based on my experience so far. Pros - 1. Ease of use - To simply put, Elementor makes the complex seem so easy. Its user-friendly interface allows the page building to be broken down into smaller tasks, making the whole process seem less overwhelming or intimidating. Having zero experience in page building before, I find Elementor as a great training ground. 2. Flexibility for creative designs - I maybe a newbie in page building but I am an experienced artist and in order to realize my envisioned designs, I need a powerful tool that has the flexibility to help me do so. Elementor does just that! I was surprised with the versatility of this tool. It helps me create themes that are well-coded, easy to load and passes Google's standards. Cons Cons - 1. No option for one-time payment. I would much rather pay once than every month. I think this is one thing that competitors have against Elementor as they offer the choice of buying the whole thing at once. 2. Lack of support for integrations such as with ACF and PODS. I have even created a sales funnel by integrating Elementor with a couple of more plugins to boost revenue for my clients. I will absolutely recommend Elementor for both beginners and experienced users to try it out. It not only is easy to use but also saves thousands of dollars that you may pay to a developer. Pros Elementor has been at the top for the last 2 years and outranks its competitors in terms of features, ease-of-use, speed, performance, pricing, and whatnot. It not only packed with multiple widgets, templates, etc but also offers integration with other popular tools such as Gravity forms. That makes it a game-changer. I've seen many beginners and non-technical users using Elementor with comfort. Cons I've heard of site breaks a couple of times and even heard the news of vulnerabilities in the Elementor core plugin. Apart from that it sometimes makes a website slow and shows cross-browser incompatibility. Another drawback of Divi is that it's not free and leaves shortcodes when try to uninstall. On the other hand, Elementor leaves HTML code that doesn't affect the page for the users. Customer Services have answered any queries I've had in very good time too. Highly recommend this. Cons I am struggling to think of anything negative with this software. It is really easy to use and its wonderful to have complete control over every aspect of your layout. Cons The one thing that I would like to see that would make it even more amazing to use would be the ability to adjust margins and padding on elements by drag and drop. Currently padding and margins need to be manually adjusted by entering a number in px or % and then saving. Its a small thing but would really help the workflow. Since my first contact with Elementor, I see the power that you have with almost no effort, it's everything easy and direct to the point. As I described earlier, I wish I could pay for the Pro version with no pain, but even the Free version makes me pretty satisfied. Pros Elementor gives you many options, it's up to you to decide to start your website from scratch, or to use one of many pre-built templates available. If you decide to start from zero, the drag-and-drop system will make everything easy, you have (almost) full control over your design, just select what you want and put where you would like. Of course, there are some tricks that will take time to understand. If you decide to use one of their pre-built templates, I would say that this is the way! It's easy, there are great free options available, you just select the best parts of different templates and customize as your way. The best templates are paid, but even the free can do the job! Cons The price in my view is salty, I know it's worth but I wish they have a better option/price. Otherwise, there are no cons, they give you everything you may need on the Free version, so it's up to you to pay or not. They then ask you to buy Elementor or the various 3rd party plugins through affiliate links which they earn commissions on. I have no problem with that and Elementor pays very nice affiliate commissions, but this also restricts the honesty about issues that they are having. We deal with various clients that have Elementor and other page builders and having to work around the free version or try and nail down the paid version to do everything you want it to do without 3rd party plugins, you are going to have to develop a lot of the functionality using custom code and CSS. Pros The templates and support are good. The amount of tutorials is fantastic and people are making amazing websites using Elementor. Cons The basic free version is basically unusable and if the client doesn't have a license or doesn't want to pay for the features, then their website is hamstrung. The software is faster than other page builders on the market, but it becomes clumsy and clunky when you have to install various 3rd party plugins to get the various plugins that make Elementor do what you want it to do. Cost aside, working with Elementor is just a pleasure compared to every pagebuilder I've used (which is most all of the known ones). Super easy, intuitive, and really cuts down on the workflow. There is so much to like about Elementor. Being able to save both pages, and sections as templates really cuts down on website build times. Cons The only thing that would be nice, in a perfect world would be a back end editor. If for no other reason than this one scenario: If you position a section too near the top of the page, it can be a challenge to access the top tab of that section that allows access to it. Cons Sometime text element spacing is unpredictable. So we have to look in multiple places to find out what is causing the text to behave that way. We hired a company to build the first few pages and they set up Elementor for us. If the pros use it then I'm all for it! I add new pages and edit the original pages as our company evolves. Elementor is essential for us! Pros It has so many tools and widgets that help me make a creative website. The drag-and-drop functionality is great, and I don't need to be a coder to create a website. Cons Elementor was difficult for me to learn, but it's so much easier than coding and designing from scratch. Sometimes there will be settings on 3 different elements that all have the same result (ex. padding for the widget, column, and section). But sometimes there are no options at all. I still can' figure out how to center the title on certain boxes. As you can imagine this makes troubleshooting difficult.
