### "Basic VPN software"

November 12, 2022

3.0

It was a key tool in our tech stack during the remote work periods, particularly during the pandemic. It fullfills it's main purpose, delivering a simple and fast way to establish VPN connections.

Pros

This tool provided a simple, safe and fast way to establish a VPN connection to our client's network. It was a key tool during the pandemic, where all of out team was working from home.

Cons

The VPN connection breaks were sometimes frequent and the information regarding these events was not depicted in a clear way, so that's a thing to improve. Also, some websites connections were slowed down and during momments of huge amounts of network traffic, the connection strength was poor.

### "Easy software to download and install, extremely functional when securing private information"

March 31, 2021

5.0

I work mostly from home and this software is very easy to use, to download and install. Also, it is secure and has a stable connection. It is suitable for all type of companies especially those that have remote workers. The software gives you a secure connection to work remotely and protect the privacy of the company which should be the main priority of organizations. I strongly recommend this software to companies that are starting out and want to maintain a a secure connection.

Pros

I use this software on a daily basis to protect my organization's private and sensitive information. I work in the healthcare industry and it is highly important to protect the patient's information. One of the features that I strongly believe helps protect the organization's sensitive information is the two factor authentication when connecting to the company's VPN, making it more secure and protecting the privacy of the company and the patients as well .

Cons

I strongly believe that the software does a fantastic job at protecting the security and privacy of organizations especially when working from home. However, I do feel that login in into the software and connecting to the company's VPN can be very tedious since it has crashed several times during my time frame using the software. Also, I do feel that the software makes my work computer work a little bit slower than usual, maybe this can be improve and optimize.

### "A VPN Client That Just Works"

February 20, 2019

5.0

Cisco AnyConnect has provided our users with an easy solution for securely connecting to the corporate LAN. I've found that Cisco's TAC group has also done a good job of supporting the product on the rare occasion when an issue does pop up. Overall, this is the perfect solution for our company: you're hardly aware that the product is even running and the support of the application by Cisco has given us nothing but confidence with its use within an enterprise environment.

Pros

I've used the Cisco AnyConnect VPN client over the last 10 years while also managing AnyConnect client-to-site configurations on ASAs. Both as a user and administrator, the product is straight-forward: through a few easy and well-documented steps, the VPN configuration is created leaving the client to simply login via the GUI which will provide them with the appropriate release and version of AnyConnect for their OS. Whether they're on a Mac, PC, or their mobile device, the process and use of AnyConnect to access our corporate network is easy and transparent for the non-technical user which means less time spent teaching and troubleshooting.

Cons

Around a year ago, I worked with users and also personally experienced issues following a Windows update. Cisco TAC was able to work with us on changes to the .xml profile and get us up and running. 99% of the time, the product works fine. On the rare occasion that there are issues, more meaningful error messages would aid in determining root cause.

### "Cisco AnyConnet - A reliable and safe VPN service"

April 28, 2020

4.0

We are happy with the product so far. Work from home and from client locations has become an easy task with this software.

Pros

We use Cisco AnyConnect to connect our office laptop to the corporate network so that we can access corporate network sites and servers without any hassle while working from home or any remote location at the client site. It is easy to set up a VPN service and the connection is reliable and secure. Using this tool, our IT system can track endpoint behavior in a better manner. The tool provides security against viruses, malware, rogue websites, and other online threats. It can easily be integrated with other 2-factor authentication tools to provide enhanced security. Installation and configuration of the software are easy and user interface is quite simple to use.

Cons

The prices are on the higher side, but the tool is worth the investment. Other features such as one click-connection, storing login details would be advantageous. It shows error in connection sometimes.

### "Best and most stable VPN solution I've used so far"

October 29, 2020

5.0

My experience with AnyConnect has been great and it really helped me a lot during this period when I'm working from home, but I need to be connected to the company's secure network to be able to access the internal tools. I can work from anywhere, needing only an available wifi network and my laptop. With just 1 click I am already in a secure connection and with access to all the internal tools I need. Another extremely high quality software developed by Cisco.

Pros

AnyConnect is a very easy to use application. Its configuration and usability are simple due to the clean and intuitive interface. I can connect with the security of an encrypted connection from any internet network with just 1 click. The application does not disconnect easily, which allows you to work smoothly and without connection problems.

Cons

I can't see any weaknesses from the user's point of view. If I had to point out something, it would be about the very few times that the application disconnected during use and did not issue any alerts, however this has only happened to me 1 time so far.

### "Used as Remote Employee"

August 2, 2022

5.0

Using Cisco AnyConnect allows me to work remotely and securely from any where. I am able to access files and shared drives easily and can trust that they are being transmitted securely.

Pros

I use this software most regularly to connect to my organization's VPN. I work remotely full time and use the VPN to access shared drives, files, and portals. It is simple to connect and saves the VPN path so I do not have to type it each time. My favorite thing about this software is its ease of use.

Cons

I do not find any of the elements of the software difficult to use.

### "Cisco AnyConnect: An Efficient and Secure VPN Client"

October 9, 2023

4.0

Very good experience from a performance and security perspective. Would recommend this VPN client for secure and efficient establishment of VPN tunnels.

Pros

We use Cisco AnyConnect to create secure encrypted tunnels to the Mason VPN server when off-campus. We benchmarked the security and performance of Cisco AnyConnect and it was really interesting its use of DTLS (Datagram Transport Layer Security) which relies on UDP to provide more efficient VPN tunneling by avoiding the complex TCP 3-way handshaking schemes. This is a great strategy in the cases when the underlying connections are already using TCP/TLS which avoids another expensive VPN TLS on top of the already existing TLS connection.

Cons

Adding exception routes to divert traffic from using the VPN is not flexible to configure in Cisco AnyConnect. You need to do it within the OS using the add route command.

### "Ok when it works"

July 28, 2020

3.0

Cisco AnyConnect does what it's supposed to do - gets you connected to your VPN so that you can work remotely. It's not a fancy software, but it's efficient as long as it's not dropping your connection.

Pros

Cisco AnyConnect has made it possible for my company to easily transition to WFH during this unprecedented pandemic. While we've used AnyConnect for a long time, it's being very widely and frequently used at this point. AnyConnect is relatively simple to use - connect to your local wifi and then connect to the VPN. It's pretty foolproof to actually getting logged in.

Cons

I'm not sure if this is unique to my company, but there's recently (within the last 6-8 months) been a change where AnyConnect needs to be reset/re-connected every 24 hours. While this is a small inconvenience, it's still annoying. I used to be able to stay connected to the VPN without limit. I've also experienced more frequent dropped connections as of late.

### "Easy, easy, easy"

January 8, 2019

4.0

Pros

I'm not a firewall expert, but even I can get AnyConnect setup on a Cisco ASA 5XXX series in about an hour. It's a pretty straightforward process with lots of guides available. Installing it on the client is even easier, and the best part is that it's only two or three mouse clicks to get connected, so it's very easy to teach to an end user. The connection is rock solid, I've never had issues with connectivity.

Cons

Licensing anything with Cisco is confusing, and this is no exception. Even though I've done it several times, it still takes me more time than I'd care to admit to figure out the correct SKU for the software license I need. It's also annoying that many ASA's need to have a 512MB RAM stick installed before AnyConnect can be used. Configuring AnyConnect to use Radius is also pretty confusing for me, although this more a function of the ASA than AnyConnect.

### "A very nice and easy way to connect to my companies VPN"

March 21, 2018

5.0

Pros

\-I like Cisco AnyConnect's small footprint. it only uses the screen real estate that is needed. -It provides multiple VPNs for me to connect to. If the east coast VPN is down, I can try the west cost VPN. - it shows me the my ip address which is a nice feature - it has a drop down of local wireless and wired networks that I can use to connect to the VPN, along with the signal strenght of each wireless network which is very handy. - It just works, I never really have any problems getting onto my VPN which is the most important featur in my book

Cons

\- it kicks me off after 24 hours, I'm not sure if this is cisco limitation, or a company restriction, but it would be nice if i could stay connected forever. -rarely despite entering all the correct credentials i still can't access the VPN, but I think this is a company issue instead of a cisco issue

### "Computer Feds. You're Always Protected"

April 17, 2023

Cisco AnyConnect has been an essential tool for my business, providing secure and reliable remote access to our company's network and resources.

Pros

The best thing about Cisco AnyConnect is its robust security features, such as two-factor authentication and encryption, which have given me peace of mind when accessing sensitive company data from outside the office.

Cons

While Cisco AnyConnect is a highly effective remote access tool, it can sometimes have connectivity issues, especially when using older or less powerful devices.

### "Efficient and Secure VPN Solution"

January 23, 2023

4.0

Pros

Cisco AnyConnect automatically connects to the VPN when you start your laptop so one doesn't have to manually connect to the VPN. At least this is how it's configured in our case.

Cons

When you are already connected, you can't even drop down and see all the profiles that are configured. Also, at times, it simply fails to connect and then we have to run ipconfig release/ renew and reboot the laptop to make it work.

### "Amazing Product"

April 4, 2022

5.0

Cisco AnyConnect is doesn't have any issues - once I connect in the morning - connection is stable till end of day. There are no differences in my computer performance - everything works as fast and secure as if I was in the office. This was not case at my past employments using different connections. Connection would often get lost, and would take a while to disconnect. It is also 100% secure.

Pros

Cisco AnyConnect is fantastic. I used a number of other software at my previous jobs for VPN connection, and they were always faulty, I would often loose connection every few hours, it would take long to connect, sometimes several tries, which could be very annoying if you have a meeting or a deadline.

Cons

I have not experienced any issues with Cisco AnyConnect.

### "Connecting takes too long"

November 2, 2023

2.0

Pros

Applications is small and simple. Allows user to logon before windows logon.

Cons

It takes too long to connect. Why application does scanning after user enter credentials? Why it can't be done before to not waste user time? Also it requires all windows update to be done before connecting.

### "A client definitely you can rely on"

April 2, 2024

5.0

Pros

I have been using cisco AnyConnect for over 4 years. I am a network engineer by profession and have configured my ASA firewall to help users to connect to our environment via cisco anyconnect. Cisco anyconnect uses SSL 443 and DTLS (UDP 443) which means you will connect to anyconnect if your company has standard internet access allowed. Supports split tunneling which means you can allow only company traffic to flow via VPN rest using your local internet. It supports MFA too. When it comes to cisco support, they are top notch.

Cons

Its bit expensive when compared to fortigate vpn solution.

### "Secure Mobility Client for your needs"

May 24, 2019

4.0

In overall, I'm happy with Cisco AnyConnect. It is really easy to use. You do not need any training to use the software. Spends not much RAM; so it does not makes the computer slows down. Very robust as long as you have a moderate speed internet.

Pros

The best thing I like with Cisco AnyConnect is that it's really an easy software to use It has a very minimal interface; so comfortable for your eyes. Multiple server option are available for your selection. You can even switch between the servers. In general, provides high speed secure connection. You can see statistics and connection history; which is a very good feature if you want to see what happened before.

Cons

No advanced options are available. Would be better if user based connection options are allowed. Can get disconnected easily if your internet speed is not so high.

### "Any connect vpn "

March 29, 2020

5.0

I heavily relied on this software of multiple reasons. It never.let me down. If even worked well over my cell data connections.

Pros

The overall speed and simple setup for a end users connection. When using a VPN for IT needs I find this product is the most reliable for structure ad speed of the connection. I have used other VPN as well and have ran into issues with tunneling. But with this application it has been the less stress causing in the VPN world. Also running my applications from my pc via vpn connection on any connect runs just like you are connected to the original network vs VPN. No lag or delay.

Cons

The gui interface install on the user side could be a bit more user friendly.

### "Reliable service to connect remotely"

September 16, 2020

5.0

Great software, secure, and takes seconds to login and access your network.

Pros

We use Cisco AnyConnect to connect securely to our server while working remotely from home. It is so easy to connect using their Duo Mobile app and software on your computer. Takes a matter of seconds with your log-in information and a generated confirmation code from your mobile app to type in on your computer cisco software log-in.

Cons

Honestly nothing bad to say about this software. Perhaps there are more features to Cisco AnyConnect, but in regard to security and connecting remotely, it is so simple and easy.

### "A Standard for VPN Client"

November 2, 2018

4.0

Overall, it's very easy to use, reliable and well-protected.

Pros

I have been using this AnyConnect VPN for about 8 years and I have always been satisfied with the product. I mostly do VPN to my school domain or my server. AnyConnect is a reliable product to do my job. The speed is amazing, and the layer level of protection is about right. Recently, they just added one more level of protection with mobile phone DUO. I think is a right move which adds on protection without much hassle.

Cons

Cisco AnyConnect doesn't have any problem! Even if I'm away for the computer a long time, VPN stills connects. They must better communication between the personnel that makes the changes in the VPN server and the final user of the application. Sometimes I found the mismatch between them.

### "Awesome tool to stay connected with work !!"

November 21, 2019

5.0

Overall the experience has been great and helpful. The best part is that is connects automatically which saves tremendous amount of time. In case you don't want to use it, simply press the disconnect button and it gets disabled. Very easy to use and with very simple guidelines anyone can use it.

Pros

This tool is most definitely a blessing where you can stay connected with your work even while at home or travelling. It fast and very secure. It has the VPN feature which uses a trusted internet connection to log into the work network. I have used this while travelling as well. It also has a system scan tool which checks if the system is compliant and allows access to the network accordingly. It is able to connect automatically once you log in to you computer as long as there is internet access. This software has been really help during urgent situations at workplace so one can help the team remotely as well.

Cons

Not too much of a cons but something that can possibly be improved is that once in a while (once is every 3-4 months) when at the work network the application will try to connect as well. This problem is typically resolved by either turning on and off your internet and or restarting your computer.

### "Safe, Secure, and efficient VPN solution"

December 16, 2020

3.0

Cisco Anyconnect helps us set up remote access to our company's and client's servers. As we work on virtual machines with no information saved on our laptops, in a way it would be impossible for us to work without anyconnect VPN solution. Having said that, the software experience has been bumpy at best and could definitely be improved upon.

Pros

With Work-From-Home becoming a necessity, Anyconnect helps us connect remotely with our organisation's servers with one click. It remembers the domain and the user name so that it doesn't have to be entered manually each time. Being in the knowledge industry where confidentiality of information is of prime importance, anyconnect keeps the connection safe and secure to help prevent any misuse

Cons

The thing i absolutely hate about anyconnect is that when the internet speed slows down even a little bit, the connection tends to disconnect and connect frequently with the notification window popping again and again constantly. It can be really bugging as it interrupts what you may be working (for eg. if you're typing something in word, you may have to manually click to activate the document again). Everytime the connection is interrupted, connection to outlook gets severed as well and you may need to manually close and open outlook all over again. One feature I think could be really helpful is the ability to save my login password so that I don't have to enter the details all over again everytime there is a disconnection.
