I would 100% recommend Clockify from a small business or consultant that needs to track billable hours on projects. Even at the Free level, it offers Unlimited tracking, users, projects and reports. That is pretty amazing for a free level tool.

Pros

Clockify is super easy to set up. I needed to provide detailed project time tracking for a client. I did a little research and found Clockify. Within 30 minutes I had my account set up and my client projects configured. I was able to quickly and easily generate timesheets for the client.

Cons

I really would have liked to be able to integrate the Clockify time tracking with something like Wave: Small Business Software for invoicing. That would have simplified my invoicing process and allowed for better tracking.

Overall experience is extremely positive, we have been using the platform for over 3 years now and have not found another tool that comes close for functionality per dollar spent.

Pros

All the required functionality is built in from Time Tracking to Project Budgeting and Billing, Tracking actuals vs budget, Invoicing, Project performance management. The platform itself is very easy to setup, manage and use, which for our company was key. Also comes with straightforward though completely usable time off and expense tracking functionality. The time tracking plugins are awesome especially for busy teams that would rather spend time building functionality than recording their time. The customer support provided by Cake team is top notch. Given the price for comparable tools in the market, which may come with more functionality, however given our requirements Clockify was the perfect fit for our needs.

Cons

One of the areas that needs further improvement is approvals, both for time and time off requests as well as for expenses. Need the ability to route the approval to either a Team Manager or Project Manager (should be configurable when setting up the project). Also users should not be able to self approve time and time off requests.

We already used ClickUp and one thought was to use the Time tracking capability built in however Clockify was far superior than the functionality available in ClickUp.

Overall, Clockify is definitely the best budget friendly time tracking tool i have used. Highly recommend for any freelance or startup work.

Pros

I absolutely love the strong core features Clockify has for projects and time tracking. It is easy to use with the start/stop timer.

Cons

Unfortunately, Clockify's mobile app has not been the best. Theres limited functionality and I've experience sync problems.

Customer service was lacking and became a pain to deal with, especially in terms of cancelling and being charged/billed.

Pros

Not much, to be honest. We attempted to use it for a while in order to track projects but it never quite did what we needed it to do.

Cons

As a nonprofit, we needed some very specific features that Clockify did not have and the existing features didn't quite meet our needs either.

I have been using Clockify for years, and I have not experienced any bugs. I am still using the free version, and I am really happy with what they provide.

Pros

I think Clockify is the most simple time tracking tool that is available for free. It has all the functionalities that I need.

Cons

The UI looks a bit old school, and it lacks some of the modern time tracking functionalities of other platforms like Toggl.

We love it! We transitioned from paper timesheets to digital and even through the transition, the guys have found it easy to navigate for the most part. We love how customizable it is as well!

Pros

We love using clockify as a team that transitioned from paper timesheets to digital, it's been great!

Cons

I wish it were a little easier to use for people that aren't technologically advanced as we do have some older individuals at our office.

Love the simplicity of this app and it makes it easy to track on desktop or mobile and sort out the time punches later so you have minimal workflow interruptions.

Pros

Fantastic value for money and simplicity of this software makes me keep coming back to it to use again and again. It's not as burdensome as other time trackers and doesn't require 5-6 clicks to just get a timer going like others do. It fits my workflow like a glove. Also - offline time tracking - so important.

Cons

The last time I used it, it was lacking in integrations with other softwares. If there is a notion integration that would be appreciated.

Generally I think it's a really useful tool. It looks pretty and the reporting is very good. As I mention earlier, it's a little confusing when you start - so check any tutorials to get a head start. I don't have much experience of other time tracking tools, but this one is pretty good when you get used to it.

Pros

I love the timer, so you can set a timer when you start a task - don't forget to turn it off! The reporting is pretty good, it's easy to see what people have been working on. Mae sure you take the time to think about what you want to report and set it all up first, this is well worth the effort or you just get haphazard reporting. I like the fact you can go back in time to add work if you forget.

Cons

It's not as simple as it seems. It's sometimes tricky to know where to start - is it a task or a job? This still confuses me. Maybe I've missed the basic intro video, but it's not always obvious how to start something and make sure it's recored properly.

Very positive as a project manager - enables to be to review where staff resource is being spent on and where there are issues with efficiency

Pros

The admin set up enables you to clearly set your allocated per project and you then get timely reminder when you reach 50% capacity up until full capacity - great for project management

Cons

When you Clockify retrospectively, it can sometimes be fiddly to select the correct project, date, time etc. - can lead to manual error

Very good. I liked Clockify. We were on it for over 3 years and the overall experience was really good.

Pros

It was simple to use, very intuitive, and I was able to track my hours very easily. The phone app helped as well.

Cons

We could not find a perfect integration with our payroll system. At the moment, we use Deel, and there is no integration.

Overall it is okay, it is free, I used it for about 2 years. I never had a need to go to the paid version.

Pros

It is free, it clocks your time. It is simple to create projects and tasks and you can see how the tasks make up a project in a report.

Cons

What I liked the least and what caused me to switch to Jibble was that it did not update my time immediately when I was organizing my time entries by task and adding up my hours in the project report. It just was very inaccurate, I can't have that for my billed time.

User friendly. Once you understand the basics it is very easy to use! Just need a bit of tweaking by programmers for timing issues.

Pros

Provides a daily breakdoen as tasks are entered for easy calculations when invoicing clients. And you can then produce a report for weekly review.

Cons

Manual time entry does not allow for calculation by seconds - so need to allow for this when entering calculations. I have tasks that regulsrly take 3.5 minutes and have to stagger entries between 3 and 4 minutes so calculated correctly.

I had never experienced such a productive time tracking experience than i am with Clockify. It makes makes it look so easy to monitor time usage. Clockify has helped me to learn how to become more productive by adopting better time management behaviors. With Clockify, time wastage has become a thing of the past.

Pros

Setting up Clockify was so easy and i love the user-friendly interface. Clockify has amazing shift scheduling tools that makes it easy for our team to allocate shifts. It has task automation workflows that help record all time data automatically making time tracking very precise. Clockify time usage reports are easy to interpret and offer reliable insights on time management.

Cons

Am yet to face any challenges with Clockify. It has been a smooth ride and I don't have any complaints.

Pros

I like how you can store all your hours and keep track of employees times. The invoicing tool is very handy.

Cons

I don’t like how the app works, sometimes can be glitchy and always logs me out. Which can be frustrating at times.

As a virtual assistant for many different companies, my experience using clockify has been great! It helps me keep everything organized so I can bill my hours properly and keep it professional down to the second!

Pros

Clockify is such an easy program to use for keeping track of your time. For being a free program, I love using it! You can switch from "stop watch" mode to manual entry really easy and you can also label the different projects for each time recorded too which makes it easier to keep track if you are someone who clocks into multiple different projects like me.

Cons

I have yet to find something I don't like about this software. So far my experience it has checked all the boxes!

User friendly, very quick access via the Google extension, almost zero learning curve as intuative. Reasonably priced and suited me better than some of the alternatives. The reporting is in depth and certainly goes to the level I need (B2b marketer). So all in all, tracking time made simple.

Pros

So easy to use and you can select client, project and task options so keeps everything very simple. Adding the Clockify to the browser bar using the extension means its all but a click away so if youre like me and jumping from one task to another (regardless of start of the day intentions) then this really helps keep track of where tike is spent and for whom.

Cons

Two things, one, sometimes if its left running then i need to manually find errors and resolve. And two, the trial was, understandably, a little limiting so I felt I had to purchase the full version to really see if I'd keep using it. It is 'forever free' though so if a little functionality is needed then brilliant. Other than that it pretty much does what youd expect.

It enhanced the cost control of each project and gave us a real-time ability to make revisions to estimates. We are now monitoring True hours vs Quoted hours, which has an obvious effect on profitability and resourcing.

Pros

Time tracking from Clockify has been an absolute lifesaver working in an agency! I can track hours designers and copywriters spend on client work and create clean reports for billing. This Chrome extension is used by your team to start/stop timers without having to leave the place where they are working.

Cons

The UI on mobile is a little cumbersome and I'd love to see some deeper integrations with some of our invoicing tools.

Back in my part-time days, I had to use clockify daily for reporting my hours. After going full-time I continued to use it out of habit. I eventually got to the point where my hours far exceeded 40, and I used the clockify data to ask for a raise. Success!

Pros

Clockify is extremely easy to use on both the phone app and a computer. I have it set as one of my browser tabs that opens automatically. Clocking in is easy. Then I clock out right before closing all the tabs at the end of the day.

Cons

My office mates wish they could print two weeks on a report, for their time card reporting for each pay period.

Pros

I’ll say clockify is a great tool and has so much potential to be better. I particularly like the fact that it’s got a free version that can do a lot, it gives you an idea of what the app is and helps you decide if you want a paid plan and surprisingly there’s even more advanced features and I like the fact that it can integrate with other tools.

Cons

The mobile interface feels a little bit too much, if I may say it needs a cleaner more easily accessible interface. The constant bug is also an issue which Ofcourse requires frequent updates.

My overall experience has been pretty good, it works fine, easy to use and its free.

Pros

It is a very user friendly platform. It is easy to understand how to start registering the time spent on different tasks during your shift. You can add as much records as needed and make modifications if needed. It is nice to have a google chrome extension to make the process faster.

Cons

Would be nice to have a undo option because sometimes by mistake registers can be deleted and cannot be recovered and you must remember the start and end time to add it manually.

I like how many capabilities the app has. you can do a lot within it. It's easy to navigate and you can set up projects to time different aspects of your business.

it felt a little clunky, e.g.g it seemed to put me on manual and then at times I'd forget to stop it so timing wasn't accurate.
