I still use it today when my projects require hourly tracking. Pros I have been using Clockify since 2021 and found it to be an excellent value for the money. It’s very easy to get started and to use. Tracking projects and then generating reports are where it excels. Cons Honestly, I didn’t find any “cons” when working with Clockify. It's reliable and does all that we need it to. Pros It's easy to use as it easily integrates with the tools that we need to track time in e.g. Jira, Xero. Simple to use (for end users) and simple to manage/get reports (managers). Cons The Jira integration looks a little clunky if I'm being honest. It should honour dark mode / blend in a bit better. I think the issues we ran into were more so about the two performing together, rather than separately. Ended up switching to a time tracking tool that works hand & hand with our payroll company. Pros I liked the easy access through the google chrome plug in & the ability to change your time card if you accidentally left your timer running easily. Cons The relationship it had plugging in with Basecamp, I think it could be coded better to automate things. Sometimes it wouldn't show up next to tasks, which is an issue for ease of tracking time. It has made time management easier and helped to clarify how work is distributed across several projects. The site offers insightful information about productivity trends that help one to better estimate future workloads and hone preparation accuracy. Clockify offers great value and simplicity of use for teams seeking a basic and dependable method of tracking time free of needless complexity. Pros As a Senior Data Analyst, I value Clockify's transparency on where time is spent across projects, reporting tasks, and analytical work. The simple design of the interface lets you follow output trends, group work, and log hours easily. Particularly helpful for comprehending workload distribution and promoting improved resource planning are the reporting tools. Cons Though Clockify is good for tracking time, certain sophisticated reporting and customization options might be more thorough. Managing a lot of projects and categories can also become challenging without a clear organization. The pro trial didn't offer many features I was interested in 6 months ago when I tested it, but now they removed features from the free plan (Billable hours, which is half the reason I used it), so I will be switching. Pros I like the UI (with some misses), and overall the service is quite good. It works very well for time tracking. Cons Installing the app on windows machine enabled a start up service and is running always in the background, didn't love that. The worst thing obviously is them removing features from the free plan, like the Billable hours/projects. Overall UI will be getting an overhaul in the near future, so we expect that this is going to be a major improvement for the app. At 4.99 dollars per user per month for the Basic plan, alongside the previous free plan features, this plan offers many new ones that previously were not an option for free users, so we hope that this will provide great value for other users.
