Starting and stopping the timer is straightforward, and I can organize the tracked time by project or task. The timesheets also make it easy to review how i spent my time. Cons Some of the reporting and settings can take a little time to understand when you first start using the platform. The interface is generally simple, but a few options could be easier to find. People would clock in for their friends before and GPS was able to track that. I simply check the Dashboard and Approve things without having to chase people around. To my surprise, the Slack Integration actually does log the hours fine. However, I did expect it to fail. Pros I am happy Clockify works for my needs since most people will just clock in and out and stop complaining to me about it.I am surprised because normally this type of App just crash and lose everything if the Internet is off, but yesterday was that magic moment when the Offline Sync worked at home in office. Cons However the Facial Recognition is WAY TOO SENSITIVE in the AM during daylight and refuses to allow anyone to clock in. Its awful. Also the Desktop version of the software freezes after an update and you have to completely shut it down. I do not like that there is a limit on Un-archiving Old Employees (Seasonal) since I have to Manually Reactivate each one every single time, which is a complete waste of time. I am writing this from current use, not from a setup we abandoned. On the positive side, We get fewer next-morning 'did my payment go through?' messages than we did with bank-transfer confirmations. The constructive side is equally specific: card-funded payments and instant deposits make the fee line harder to predict than a simple flat rate, which complicates how we quote clients. For a team our size, that tradeoff is one I can live with, and we are still on it. Pros Having more than one way for a client to fund the payment means we are not stuck when someone refuses to create a new account. That is why Clockify stuck after the first month of requesting payment on an invoice the same afternoon we finish the work. Contractor payouts that we used to batch on Mondays now go out the same afternoon we approve the hours. I also like that the confirmation and the ledger line stay attached to each other, so we are not reconstructing a Saturday job from memory on Monday. Cons The product does the core job, then loses time here. Search in the history is usable, but a dense Friday list still means scrolling past friends-and-family looking noise if someone paid from a personal profile. What I like is that it is simple and does not disturbs my workflow, and I could generate reports that could help me envision my daily working hour allocation for time management and focus on priorities.
