This has also helped me be more productive, as having a 'reminder' from my work helps me not to get discouraged when working on heavy projects at which one may feel stuck. Having my timesheet and reports actually helps me to remind myself that even though I may have not gotten the result I want, I'm still working on it, and I'm going to be able to push through it. Pros It is well built site, organized quite well if I'm being honest. I like that there is a timesheet, which is most useful for adding reports daily and that there is also a dashboard, which you can personalize to your liking. Also, the fact that you can separate reports divided by projects is pretty useful too and also by billable and non billable. Really a good app. Cons The only thing I have against Clockify is that you cannot produce reports based on personalized dates, but instead, you've to be content with having just: daily, weekly, monthly or yearly, there's no option for a Quartile or any other which would be pretty useful. If I'm in a rush, I can just start the timer with 1 click and then add the details later on (description, project, task). Third, exporting the timesheets is really useful when doing client work. Finally, it's free. Absolutely free for all major features. Cons The integration with Jira isn't 2-way. That is, if I have a running timer and stop it from the Clockify app (not from Jira), the time won't be counted inside the Jira card. The same happens if I start a timer inside Clockify (not from Jira). This is an inconvenience because it forces me to always start timers from Jira - and for tasks that I've worked on previously, I'd much rather do that from Clockify rather then seek the card in Jira, then start it. I know it would be possible to use the timer feature instead of the manual tracking, but as not all of my work is on the computer this is not possible for me. So it would be nice, to kinda have a feature to add breaks more easily without having to duplicate the entries. It's a very clear experience when working with it. Pros To me, Clockify is a pretty good time tracking platform for personal use or business, if you want to track tasks/ logs per project & client. It has many useful features like Clients, Projects, Project Tasks, Invoices. Time logs can have many fields or just as few as you want, that's essential to me. A task can be added to a project and a project task and can be labelled with tags, so you can categorize your logs. Cons To me as a personal user with only a few tasks, the cost for an according plan is high, as I only need some features of other plans. I would like it better if there was an option to add single features as kind of add-on for a fair price. The mobile app is great too, but some useful features aren't yet implemented. The current system of Projects, Tags and Reports works perfectly for my needs in tracking time I spend on projects and tickets at my work. I work solo and I'm only tracking my own time but I could easily see how this would be a good system for working within a team as those features are apparently already in place. I've never used the time tracker really tho I think its a good feature also if the need ever arose for me to use it. Cons The mobile interface is a bit tricky to use at times, tho I feel this is more a limitation of the device screen size rather than Clockify's interface. Sometimes moving tasks around when I reach the midnight boundary can be tricky. e.g. if a task goes beyond midnight I don't think I can move it again until I change the time manually, which can be tricky with getting the exact time written correctly. Dashboard doesnt auto-progress to next week on Monday morning, very minor but would be nice if it did. More colors for marking Projects and such is a necessity, there's so few at the moment. I've been just creating a webapp on the iOS desktop and use the webapp version rather than the iOS app. 2. The reason I say the iOS version is bad is that it requires you turn the iOS date/time picker wheel to set start/end times when entering manual entries. It is very time-consuming process. The time entry process could be substantially optimized. This is how: (1) Activate a numeric dialpad (rather than time picker wheel) when tapping the time entry to enter time; (2) change the \* key on the dialpad to "AM"; change the # key to "PM". This way you can manually enter any time in 2s rather than 10s using the time picker wheel. 3. Lacking widget feature. I suggest adding a widget that gives you a button on the phone lock screen. It will allow you to press the button to record time without requiring you to enter all the time entry details/narratives when you are on the go. You can come back to add the narrative details later. I just simply log in and clock in my time. If I want to switch to another organization or another group of tasks it is seamless. At the end of the month, I can see all my timesheets in one place. I do not have to worry about writing down my time sheets at all. It has a phone app, so I can start or stop it on my phone with ease when I am working without my computer. Pros I love the way I can color code and categorize my timelog. The way the reviews operate is so beneficial! I'm very visual and it helps me understand things a great deal. I use it for my personal business and it saves me so much time, I used to use Excel and Paper to calculate my time. I use it with the other 3 jobs and although they use different task names and it's organized uniquely it is so simple. I recommend clockify to anyone needing time tracking, plus there is a free version that has all the features needed. Clockify saves me so much time!! Pros I love how easy it is to set up and to work with. I clock in and out from one task to the next with complete ease. Cons I am very satisfied with Clockify, If I had to provide a con I would have to say, I wish there was a way to set a setting to not allow more than one tag at a time. I run into switching from one company while doing the same task description. I click on the new company and the prior company stays selected. However, this is still an easy fix. I love Clockify!
