I wish the team best of luck and long years of service ahead. As a representative of my brand Zheln, I officially recommend Clockify as a comprehensive to manual time tracking. Pros It is a free tool that has been on the market for multiple years. It provides a robust yet simple way to capture time, and importantly - a rigorous way to prepare reports and share them with clients/partners. Workspaces provide a flawless way to separate projects, even across different regions and currencies (yes - Clockify also provides a neat way to track earnings). Finally, the option to export raw data is indispensable; and I also like the option to display external calendars in addition to showing Clockify data. It's critical that all core functions are available for free - I hope the new company \[sensitive content hidden\] will keep it this way. At the same time, a smart approach was used to select premium functionality, such as the access to older data and richer reports. Cons Sometimes the browser plug-in will take some time to load and glitch, but this is minor IMO. I disliked the need to go to menu options to switch workspaces, but I am happy that this was recently fixed, particularly in the mobile app. The tool provides so many useful and clearly widely user-tested features for free that I really have no complaints. Clockify's reports system is great and allows our team to provide accurate timesheets and allows us to review project timings to ensure that all projects are being worked on as efficiently as possible. Cons Clockify's mobile app commonly experiences issues where it seems to fall out of sync with the web interface. On many occasions, team members have experienced issues where they have initiated a time tracking session from the web interface and it does not appear within the mobile app, thus preventing them from terminating the time tracking session from the mobile app. On a handful of occasions, terminating time tracking sessions from the mobile app has caused these sessions to not be properly terminated across the board, leaving the session active leading to the administrative burden of having to manually adjust working hours. I have about 20 team members tracking time for about 100+ clients on Clockify. I also have managers who review the time logs on a weekly basis. We use Clockify's time reports to bill clients and also give them a detailed breakdown of how we spent billed hours. I've tried other software for time tracking, but it was always overly complicated. Clockify is powerful, but also super simple to use. I recommend it to anybody who needs time tracking software whether they are self-employed, just getting started, or they have a large team they need to manage. Cons Can't think of any pain points at the moment. I sometimes add extra formatting to the timelogs export before sending to clients, so maybe if I could automate that it would be nice, but wouldn't really expect Clockify to offer that. The billing management capabilities have made invoicing much easier, especially for freelance projects. Furthermore, the timesheet report function is a powerhouse, allowing me to go into detail about where my time has gone, making it easier to analyze productivity and adjust accordingly. And most importantly, even the free package has some professional-grade options in it that will help any person seeking enhancement in work management without breaking a bank. Cons Although I'm impressed by the overall functionality of Clockify, from time to time there are little bugs and errors that can ruin the workflow. Additionally, the time tracking could feel smoother. Transitions when starting and stopping tracking are somewhat clumsy, and a more refined tracking process would make the tool perfect. It's awesome for timekeeping and also servers an awesome organizational tool! Pros It serves as excellent time tracking software. Allowing it to integrate with an outlook calendar is genius too as it makes it so much easier for someone like me, rockin the good ol AuDHD to keep up with time tracking (ie, if I forget to do it immediately, it's much harder to remember exactly how to track time spent later!) I also seriously appreciate the included dark mode, light mode is a travesty upon my eyes! haha Cons I can't think of any issues I have had using clockify. it's been a solid piece of software and not only does what its advertised to do, but expands on that with additional functionality! We were able to convert to Clockify quickly & easily, and new users take to the system quickly. The administrative dashboards and reports are helpful and easy to use. As a business, using Clockify saves us time, which ultimately saves us money. Pros The system is very user-friendly and easy to learn. The video tutorials provided are clear and well done. Daily use is simple and saves so much time compared to other systems we have used. The cost is competitive and the pricing structure is clear. Cons Manual time entry via the time tracker or timesheet functions has confused some of our users. The default to minutes instead of hours in the timesheet takes some getting used to, especially for users who prefer to fill in their timesheet at the end of each week. I wish the rounding function could be applied to timesheets, as each user enters their time, instead of just at the admin report level. From an employer standpoint, it would be helpful to have more manual options for PTO administration, as our policies differ for certain employee groups and could use further restrictions on the employee end. I use it on my phone to track my independent contractor hours and mileage as well as my student drivers' driving hours they need in order to get their licenses. Cons Sometimes if I start a timer on my phone and end it on my computer the phone timer will still be going and I will see it on my phone and it will say I've been working long after I've stopped and I have to remember when I did end so the timer is not adjusted to the longer time period.
