I started off using Clockify to track how long I had been working on my leather crafting projects so I could adequately charge for my wallets and then my paintings. As I needed to work from home more often I started using it to track my graphic design work and out of office houses for my work at the printing company. It has been more than adequate, is easy to use, handily portable when projects move beyond the computer design into actual production work, and extremely helpful when projects get drug out over months,and I otherwise would have lost my notes on time worked on the earlier phases. Pros I appreciate being able to easily start and stop timers from various locations. It is very useful being able to start the timer from a client's email in my gmail integration and then stop the timer from my phone app. Cons Occasionally I'll have issues where I have logged onto Clockify in a firefox tab, but the extension won't recognize the connection and will only open a new log in tab. Sometimes if a client drags a project out over months, it can be difficult to find all instances of time records if I can't recall when the item was started. It's user friendly and can be utilized in different ways to meet your specific company needs. My team had been discussing time tracking options for a while and Clockify was recommended to us by a colleague. We explored a few other options, but Clockify seemed like it would be the best. We've been using it for over a year now and certainly would recommend to another company looking for time tracking options as well. Pros I love that there's different options to track your time. You can use the time tracker, where you can essentially clock in on a project, or the time sheet where you go in and fill our time spent on a project / client (and you can also create a template with or without hours that can serve as a great base for tracking every week). For my company, each client has different preferences on how we share time worked, so these are helpful features. You can also integrate time tracking into different platforms which is nice. There's also a dashboard where you can view how much time is being spent on certain clients / projects for the whole team. It's visually pleasing, easy to read, and is super helpful in determining if we're spending too much or too little time on certain projects. Cons I honestly don't have any cons. I'm sure there's things that could be improved, but it fits my personal and team needs really well. October 8, 2024 5.0 My overall experience has been amazing. I've been using this product for over a year now to help me track and manage the time spent on projects. I have not used the product at its full potential yet and I'm still blown away by its quality. Pros Clockify is very user friendly. I was able to train my team within 30 minutes and they adapted to the platform quite quickly. I am able to manage and account for my time working on projects so conveniently as well. When I'm working via mobile, I use the app to log my time. When performing quick tasks on my laptop, I easily log my time using the chrome extension. For detailed tasks, reports and managing my projects I simply visit the website. I am extremely satisfied with this product. - I do all of this from the free version. Cons I don't have much to say here. The only 2 areas for improvement I can suggest are: 1. The text area when writing the details of my logs - It's a single line space at the moment. I usually put very detailed information there and it can sometimes be difficult to review for errors (spelling and otherwise) due to the small text area. 2. A history log - I am able to modify my entries after it's been submitted (both details and the time it took to complete). I would like a log to see who made those changes and what those changes were. This could help with capturing any that was modified and became invalid. I use it to keep track of all of my project commitments/time requirements and I am able to create detailed reports that can showcase what projects, subprojects, and tasks I work on. If I make a mistake on my time recordings, I can easily go back and edit any entry! Pros What I appreciate the most about Clockify is the software's flexibility to meet many different needs for my time reporting. On the front end, you can create new projects and subprojects/tasks to better keep track of your time; on the back end, there are different filters and functions you can do to create better reports. Cons I think the initial hurtle to understand all of the functionality is slightly high, but it becomes more manageable as you use the software.
