Trustpilot has a mine of it because of its long history and review amount. Of course, it's not the only platform I check, but for sure, it's the first one. For my work, it's a precious source of information. I read with attention, looking at the structure of the review writing. It allows me to understand which ones are the most reliable. Pros They provide excellent assistance & support, have an immense amount of features, are VERY reliable, provide consistent up-time on their website, and their apps & plugins look great with most sites that are used in combination with Trustpilot. Cons So far my only complaint is being unable to cancel individual invitations (or possibly I haven't learned the proper way to do it). Our reviews reflect the kind of people we are and the kind of business we run. Above all, it allows us to make a statement on the web about how we treat our clients. Pros I mostly love the new clients we get after seeing our reviews. However, the ease with which it is to create the invitations to review, as well as managing the TrustPilot dashboard. It's intuitive and well-designed. Cons We had some clients that we should not have invited to leave reviews. These were people that were never actually paying clients or there was a misunderstanding by which the relationship was terminated. So, when these few people left some unsavory remarks, we had to respond immediately. On the upside, it does provide an opportunity for transparency of the business and how you handle a customer service challenge. Cons Leaving negative reviews are sometimes challenged by the third party but this is not really negative but just takes more time in uploading proof of purchase. Being able to reply to comments left is also very handy to help handle any questions/problems raised. Cons There is no real management for negative reviews that have been left but are completely false. Bearing in mind this can have a negative impact on a business, better management of this would be much more welcome. The free version is enough for us to do all this. Pros We currently use the free version which we just use to respond to reviews and flag fake reviews. The best thing about Trustpilot is how transparent they are with customers. Anyone can leave a review, and when you flag a comment, it doesn't just disappear like on other review platforms, but you need to write a public statement as to why you asked for the review to be removed. The Trustpilot team handle moderation of flagged reviews very thoroughly. Cons The paid product is just so expensive. Unfortunately, with the free product you have less features, like no banners and carousels to embed in your website as well as limited ways to collect reviews.
