There was a sense of complacency from them knowing their platform is a sticky one, and knowing they're probably the biggest name in the business. Pros Trustpilot is a great way for us to collect and display our user feedback, and has great security systems in place to avoid false reviews that hurt brand reputation. Cons There are a few cons to Trustpilot - they are quite pushy with wanting you to buy a paid plan, emailing you every so often, since we're quite a small company it does not make sense for us to upgrade to a premium plan. May 20, 2025 1.0 We were paying TrustPilot $70/month, then our bill suddenly jumped to $380/month for the same service. When we contacted them about it (and escalated it), they said, Well, we sent you an email about renewing at the new price. They refuse to cancel our service until the "contract" that auto-renewed at a new price expires. Sorry, I don't read every one of the many emails they send... so, now I'm stuck with a huge bill for a year that I can't afford... and I only use 5% of the services they offer :( Buyers beware. Pros The website widget helps build trust. They offer a lot of other "features" that are mostly not helpful. Cons Cost is insane, renewal happens with a massive price increasse and customer support just says it is what it is. Very disappointing. October 29, 2024 4.0 Pros Trustpilot is great because it gives real reviews from people who have actually used the product or service. It helps you see what others think before you decide to buy or try something. Trustpilot also has ways to spot fake reviews, so you know the feedback you’re reading is more likely to be real. Businesses can respond to reviews too, so they’re held responsible for how they treat customers. For example, a couple of months ago I had a terrible experience with a travel company. I was not having any luck with them. I attempted to post my complaint to BBB, but for some reason they rejected my complaint. I tried again and they said it was a duplicate complaint and rejected it. I came to Trustpilot to let others know of my experience and hopefully hear from someone higher up in the business. Because of Trustpilot, I received a call directly from the company and a full refund. Thank you, Trustpilot! Cons One downside of Trustpilot is that sometimes it can be hard to tell which reviews are real and which might be fake or biased. While the company tries to manage this, some businesses might still get unfair ratings based on a few bad experiences. Also, businesses can sometimes pressure customers to leave positive reviews, which can skew the overall ratings. The volume of reviews can also be overwhelming, making it tough to find the feedback that is most pertinent to your situation. Lastly, there is a delay between the submission of feedback and it being posted to the website. This can take a lengthy amount of time, which can be cumbersome. Eine (Mail)Adresse wohin diese geschickt werden sollen wird nicht genannt, also müssen die Unterlagen über mühevolles Suchen einer Kontaktmöglichkeit (öffentliches Kontaktformular als einzige Möglichkeit) zugesandt werden. Sehr aufwendig. Leider gibt/gab es keine Reaktion auf die zugesandten Unterlagen, ausser dem Zusenden einer autom. erzeugten Mail, dass Vorgang bearbeitet wird. Die Bewertung wird dann ohne weitere Info still entfernt. Cons No control over our brand's reviews, prioritizes brand reviews rather than product reviews, can't group reviews to populate on one product page which was important for our business as we have lots of different prints available in the same product but they are all different skus and not variants. Cons Te cierran la cuenta sin previo aviso y sin darte explicaciones (creo que es porque opiné en contra de una de las grandes, de esas que son amigas de Trustpilot), y cuando les escribís para preguntar la razón de semejante baneo, te responden: "No podemos decirte el por qué, pero tu cuenta ha sido suspendida para siempre y sin derecho a apelación". Cons It's only user reviews and no product overviews or breakdowns which can be a downside.
