### "Reliable Project Management with Powerful Time Tracking"

September 4, 2025

5.0

Overall, Productive has been a reliable and powerful tool for managing projects, budgets, and time tracking. It allows us to track resources, costs, and progress in one place, giving us full control over our projects and saving significant time compared to using separate tools. With API integrations, we can seamlessly connect data from our HR system and deliver detailed timesheets to clients, further improving efficiency and transparency. Even though we don’t use every feature, the core functions we rely on work smoothly and provide us with confidence in our project and budget management.

Pros

\- Very well-structured project and budget management. - Powerful time tracking that helps us monitor work and productivity. - Full control and visibility over project progress from start to finish. - API integrations allow us to import data from our HR application and provide detailed timesheets for clients. - Intuitive interface that makes it easy for the team to adopt. - Reporting features that keep everything transparent.

Cons

\- Some features (like invoicing) are not relevant for us, since we use our existing CRM system. - Certain security features are only available in the Ultimate plan, but we cannot fully benefit from the entire scope of that edition as we primarily use Productive for project tracking.

### "Productive for collaboration"

September 1, 2025

5.0

Really, really like it. Productive has helped our organization develop our project management a lot. Am very please with the support and overall updates regarding the product. Feels like you listens to what we need.

Pros

We work in a lot of different teams and customers. Productive has made the collaboration SO much easier. Easy for customers to understand and for my teams to manage. Project collaboration is great!

Cons

Resourcing can be a bit off, some buggs. Would also love if there was an easier connection with the budget so we don't have to update on two places.

### "Productive: The All-in-One Powerhouse "

July 9, 2025

We have already tried 5 services such as yours during our existence (harvest, JIRA etc.) and I have to say that Productive is really IT - the master product for everything what you need to run agency

Pros

Customer support overall - your chatbot is exquisite and your team aswell, frequent development of new modules and features, !!!POLARIS!!!, pulse feature and \[sensitive content hidden\]

Cons

DOCs, limited nesting of tasks (subtask cannot have another subtask), missing template center for reports, few specific things for our country in invoicing (double tax for both currencies etc)

### "An agency's best friend"

June 11, 2025

5.0

Productive's customization allows us to streamline all of our agency's intricate operations. Even in the case of bugs or complaints, they have the best teams who are always willing to work with you on a resolution and they genuinely take all feedback to heart. I've never felt so heard by a customer support team. They don't just listen, they act!

Pros

The incredible depth of customization across all elements of Productive. We are able to add custom fields to our user records, our projects, tasks, reporting, you name it! This allows us to handle edge cases within our agency with ease and takes a huge weight off of our operational team's shoulders. The custom permissions options allow us to fine-tune the roles of our teammates who wear multiple hats!

Cons

Occasional medium to high impact bugs - but they're usually fixed very quickly after being reported.

Amazing, love the product and especially the productive team give you as a customer. It really is a case study on how you should be supporting your customers.

Pros

It has completely changed (in a good way) how we operate as an agency. Productive allows you to view all your key agency data in one place.

### "Getting productive fast!"

March 30, 2026

4.0

My overall experience with Productive has been fantastic. The app is user-friendly and has genuinely improved how I manage my time and habits.

Pros

The best thing about productive is that it replaces multiple apps (like Time Doctor, Jira, and spreadsheets) with one platform.

Cons

Due to its so many functions, it takes time for teams to fully onboard and get set up. The cost is high but if it works as it's supposed to it will be well worth it!

### "Everything You Need in One Smart Platform"

January 30, 2025

5.0

Pros

Productive is a tool that brings together an efficient task management system, resource allocation, time tracking, leave request management, budgeting, and CRM under one roof. By integrating all these tools, it provides excellent reporting capabilities and real-time insights into project and company performance.

Cons

It is incredibly modular and rich in data, but for this reason, it can be a bit intricate and not very user-friendly at first. However, with time and some practice, this initial learning curve can be overcome.

### "Super useful"

February 14, 2025

4.0

It's very useful at our company, we're happy to use it and keeps us organised.

Pros

Easy to keep track of daily tasks, managing internal resources for projects, holidays.

Cons

The fact that I can't copy the day to day tasks, I have to duplicate a full day. There's certain tasks per day like Admin Work, Slack and Email checks etc. that I would want to add each day to my productive budgets, but you can only duplicate a full day, not just a certain task. By task I mean the bullets under the project itself.

### "Productive IS productive!"

February 1, 2025

5.0

I've used a fair few platforms in my career and Productive stands above them all. I will recommend it to any businesses that I will go on to work for in the future.

Pros

The seamless cross functionality in Productive, from budgets to resourcing, makes it of the top platforms I've used so far in my career.

Cons

I would like more customisation in the resourcing view. For example, I would like to be able to reorder the resources on the left panel instead of the alphabetical order that is locked there now.

### "Everything we need in one platform"

February 14, 2024

5.0

Pros

Productive includes all the features we wanted and nothing we didn't. We used ClickUp for some time, but found it was hard to use and customise to our needs. Productive gives us the tools we need to keep projects on track and assigned to the right people and gives us business metrics that keep us aligned and on-point. It's been a game-changer for us, and we can only see it getting better.

Cons

Productive is expensive, especially as you add more users. Other products are cheaper, but they aren't tailored to what we need, so they end up costing in other ways.

### "One of the most practical for profitability tracking"

February 2, 2024

4.0

It does what I need it to do and for a price that is worth it. Again, tracking project profitability is my main reason to use it.

Pros

The main reason I chose Productive was to be able to track the profitability of each project, by assigning a cost by ressource (employee) and tracking billing + expenses on each project. The reporting and customizable dashboard are very appreciated features. I also like the fact that we can email directly to a deal to add entries in the crm. I also like the Notion type documents. Could have more options though

Cons

\- The CRM is a bit basic. Notes and followups could be more intuitive and organized. - The navigation inside the app is not always clear and I found myself often searching for the way to get to where I need. - When adding time outside the dates of a budget, the error preventing me from adding it was annoying. I would have prefferred a warning and be able to choose to add it anyway. - I'd like to be able to quickly create a task from the time tracking entry on the calendar view if I found myself on working on something that was not initially listed. - Managing billing and budget is not user friendly, especially when pre-selling hours.

### "Fantastic Support Team"

April 11, 2022

5.0

I love it. I've looked at other tools, and turned them down simply because of their lack of reporting and all-in-one capabilities. Despite smaller features like automation, note taking, and dependency being really attractive.

Pros

We love that this tool is agency management in one tool! We can track projects / tasks, as well as record employee PTO, schedule work to manage capacity, and bill ALL IN THE SAME PLACE. Customer support is responsive and immensely helpful. Especially for explaining the parts of the tool that applies to areas outside our expertise (like finances).

Cons

The list layout leaves things to be desired in terms of design and organization of information. Would love to see automation, and the ability to mark tasks as dependent on / blocked by others come to the tool. The note taking tool is really basic and not co-write-friendly.

### "Productive Has Made Us More Productive"

April 11, 2022

5.0

It has been a good experience and I recommend it to many people. It can get a little cumbersome once you have a lot of data in there and we still haven't been able to transition over our Quickbooks sync to Productive. I would like some more training during times we can attend.

Pros

I love that we can set up project budgets and track our progress against them in real-time so we can better allocate resources and determine our profit margins. I also appreciate that the company has a robust roadmap and is constantly adding new features. It is fundamentally easy to set up on the project side. There is a ton of flexibility with different views you can have for tasks. The ways you can slice and dice your data in here is a major win for agency owners.

Cons

The biggest thing we need is a way for our clients to submit tickets to our team so that we can tie it back to the project and if needed, add a new project scope, but there is no interface for clients to submit requests to us via Productive. We haven't found any ticketing software that will integrate with Productive either (maybe by Zapier, but we'd really just prefer to stay in Productive as much as possible).I would also like to be able to see more history on staff time off/vacation time. Once a year has been completed, the data got removed when their new allocation was given. The Dashboard view can use some improvement based on the priority of actions. I would also like to see time chronically from when my timer was started so I can see when it happened during the day, but if you use the timer feature and then switch to the calendar view, it throws all the entries to the top of the day for some reason.

Productive has been my go to product from the start to track my time, manage my budgets and create my invoices. Having 1 product that can do all these things (and more) gives me, as the end user, a peace of mind.

Pros

### "The most feature-rich, easy to use PM we've ever used"

April 27, 2022

5.0

Overall, we are extremely happy with this tool. We tested 30 other products before committing to this, and its the best business decision we've made.

Pros

We became an early client of these folks a few years ago. They are constantly rolling out new features, including a lot of specific requests we've made to them. They ALWAYS respond to our requests and update us on their status. They have, far-and-away, the most responsive customer service of any SAAS product we subscribe to. And the product is head and shoulders above any of the other tools we used over the years (we've trued dozens including all the big ones you've heard of)

Cons

It's meant to be an end-to-end solution for small-ish agencies. So beyond project management, there's financial reporting, invoicing, expense tracking (including Quickbooks integration), and sales tracking. The Sales tool is probably the least developed. It works great, and we use it, but it would be nice if it were more tightly integrated with the rest of the tool so revenue forecaster would be more accurate. There are a number of customization features, so were able to cobble together an adaquate tool (we previously used both Salesforce and Hubspot)

### "The last project management and team collaboration software you will ever need"

April 11, 2022

5.0

Productive has been a huge game changer for us. Our team has taken on Productive and have been using it religiously for everything, something that was easily forgotten or avoided when we were using other software that wasn't as fast, intuitive and easy to use. From an admin point of view, it has made our work easier and quicker - giving us information and overviews for things that would have otherwise required custom integrations or hours in spreadsheets.

Pros

We haven't had a single issue with Productive and have yet to hit a limitation or thing to improve. It has been such a breath of fresh air to come across an out-of-the-box solution that fits our team and way of working. It's clear that Productive listens to user feedback and quickly implements features and fixes. Their support is also outstanding - going above and beyond to provide excellent customer service.

Cons

Having tried 6 other project management and team collaboration software, I am pleased to say that Prodocutive has surpassed my expectations and there isn't anything that we don't like.

### "Perfect even for a small company"

April 13, 2022

5.0

Really great, we'll keep using it as we grow bigger.

Pros

It has everything you need - from task management (including subtasks and workflows!) to reporting and time management. The price is very reasonable, regardless of the number of users. Some project management software has affordable pricing for a small number of users, only to rip you off when your company grows.

Cons

Filters for tasks could have more options (e.g. date filter has only equal or not equal). It would be perfect to have a single overview of tasks across all projects. Currently, that is somehow possible but lacks more powerful filters.

Exceptional.

Pros

The features are designed for an agency so we use most of them, all day, every day. What we really like is: 1. The user interface is superb - intuitive and fast to use. The best we have seen. 2. Help files and customer services is excellent. There hasn't been a question without a really satisfactory answer. There isn't another system we use that is anywhere near as easy to use as Productive is. Remote working puts more pressure on the system and it has supported the team now spread out over thousands of miles.

Cons

Not much - would like slightly more customisable templates to allow us to add more text and graphics to them.
