Honestly it's my go-to whenever I need to get something organized fast. I leaned on it hard in the early days of my business and still use it for budget tracking and quick one-off lists. It's not the tool I'd build a serious CRM on, but for everyday spreadsheet work it's reliable and I never have to think twice about it.

Pros

When I was first setting up Wildstar Weddings I basically ran my whole client tracking out of Sheets. It was free, I already knew my way around it, and I could spin up a new tab or column whenever I thought of something I wanted to track. Budgeting, client info, follow-up dates, all of it lived in one file. The fact that it updates live and I can get to it from my phone or laptop made it really easy to keep on top of things without paying for anything fancy.

Cons

It works great until you outgrow it. Once my client list started getting longer, using a spreadsheet as a real CRM started to feel clunky and it wasn't something I could scale long term. I eventually moved that side of things over to a custom setup, but for what it is a spreadsheet, not a database it did the job longer than I expected.

My experience has been excellent. I use it almost every day for campaign tracking, budget planning, SEO reporting and content calendars. It's simple enough for quick tasks while offering advanced features when deeper analysis is needed. Overall, it's a dependable productivity tool that fits well into a digital marketing workflow.

Pros

I like how easy it is to collaborate with colleagues and clients. Sharing files, tracking campaign performance, creating dashboards, and using functions like FILTER, QUERY and pivot tables make data analysis much more efficient.

Cons

It can become a bit slow when handling extremely large datasets or multiple complex formulas. Offline functionality could also be more consistent.

To be honest, Google Sheets has changed the way we operate. Before that, we had sent Excel files in the email and everyone sent you their modified version, and that was a mess. Now we have only one "source of truth" and the whole team is returning to him. We used it as a simple database and as a dashboard (dashboard) for small and medium-sized enterprises, and it worked very well with us. If your team needs more speed and collaboration than complex advanced features, it’s an excellent option, especially since the price of Google Workspace is worth compared to other alternatives on the market.

Pros

Frankly, the thing I liked most about Google Sheets is that it's not just "Excel Online", it's really a real collaboration tool. We use it at work on a daily basis, and the most needed and saved time is that the whole team can work on the same file at the same time - whether budget or project plan - without any fear that it is sabotaging a need, because the advantage of "record adjustments" will return you any old copy if there is a mistake. My personal experience has saved me more than once. ImporTrange is also used to link data between different files, and it saves me hours I used to use in copy and paste. Linking it to Google Forms to automatically collect data is a very practical need in our job. Our team of programming specialists also develops custom tools that help us more with Google Apps script.

Cons

The main problem I face is that when data gets too big, it means hundreds of thousands of rows with complex equations, performance starts to slow down significantly, and it's a little frustrating if you're working on a big need. It also has advanced formatting options and data analysis tools that do not exist like Excel , especially ZiPower Pivot needs. Offline mode does exist, but it's not as smooth as being online - sometimes there's a slight delay when you return online again.

Switched from

[Microsoft Excel](https://www.capterra.com/p/176574/Excel/)

Before my transition, I relied mainly on Microsoft Excel (desktop version). The move was because we needed real-time collaboration between team members, because Excel was having problems with file sharing and conflicting copies when more than one person was working on the same file at the same time. While Excel remains superior in certain areas, like advanced analytical tools (Power Pivot) and formatting, the convenience of easy collaboration and remote access in Google Sheets proved to be our deciding factor.

Google Sheets is able to do 99% of what I need it to, and it's far easier and more intuitive to figure out than Microsoft Excel. I love that it seamlessly integrates with the rest of the Google Suite of products and is easy to find old files.

Cons

Not many downsides to Sheets. It's simple, effective, and secure. If I needed more in-depth features, a more customizable tool like Excel might be needed.

Overall, Google Sheets is an exceptional tool for everyday data management, project tracking, and collaborative reporting. It trades raw, heavy-duty processing power for unparalleled accessibility and team friction-free workflows.

Pros

Here is a well-rounded review template for Google Sheets, formatted and ready for your form. Review Title The King of Collaborative Data Analysis, Though Lags on Massive Datasets Pros: What did you like most about Google Sheets? The cloud-based collaboration is flawless. Having multiple team members analyzing data, updating metrics, and writing formulas simultaneously in the same spreadsheet completely eliminates version control issues. The revision history feature is a lifesaver, allowing you to track exactly who changed what and revert to older versions easily.

Cons

Performance drops drastically when working with very large datasets or complex, heavy arrays of formulas, causing the browser tab to lag or freeze entirely.

Pros

The best thing about Google sheets that I like is that it is linked with the cloud and I dont need it to save it again and again. It will save automatically and I can access it from anywhere and share it with anyone that I would like and whatever changes they make will get updated on my sheet too. It's very easy to use and understand. Plus if you are confused the AI will help you with whatever you need to do. The formulas are easy to use as well and very similar to microsoft excel

Cons

The only thing I don’t like about Google Sheets is that I feel not all of the features available in Microsoft Excel are available in Google Sheets.

Very useful for day to day non-extreme volume of data. Practical sharing, templatizing and data viewing.

Pros

Very easy to work through for small to medium chunks of data. Visually pleasing and efficient without unnecessary complications. Been using it for collaboration with team members, sharing data, creating templates of pivots and many more.

Cons

The only constrain which is sort of the week spot of this product vs. Excel is the limitation of data amount. It tends to go in "not responding" mode so easily when data volume increases.

Many Excel users feel the same way when they switch. Google Sheets is excellent for collaboration and convenience.

Pros

I’m really starting to love Google Sheets instead of using Excel. It’s much easier to work with and more user-friendly. I especially like how easy it is to share files with others and how everything is automatically saved, so I don’t have to worry about losing my work.

Cons

The only thing I don't really like about Google Sheets is that when my project needs a lot of columns, I have to keep inserting additional columns manually.
