The tools available in Google sheets has been extremely helpful, it's simple to use. Cons Like most google chrome ran apps, your computer does work hard to run. You will see your CPU shoot up and your battery can deplete a bit quick. But, for us, we're ok with that. I make columns for course name, assignment type, due date, link to relevant content, etc. Color code each class. Then select, sort range by due date A-Z, and then I know in chronological order what I need to do for class. It has worked so much more than any planner or task management app. Cons It just isn't as "pretty" as aforementioned planners or task management apps, but certainly I could sacrifice some sort of built-in aesthetic features for the practical ones. Pros I actually am in love with how versatile Google Sheets can be for keeping on top of budgets, timelines content calendars, and client reports. It’s in the cloud, so it’s easy for everyone to collaborate in real time whether that’s a designer updating hours or me checking on ad spend. Cons When we start scaling, it can get messy with version control. It’s all too easy to clobber or lose context when you don’t name things well, or if your permissioning is inadequate. Pros I can work without any issue with the supply and ops teams on Google Sheets. I can create cost-tracking sheets or update inventory logs, and everyone watches it happen live. Cons With extremely big datasets and/or many active scripts, it just starts lagging. Pros The interface is so clean and easy on the eye (compared to XL it's a dream) and templates save a lot of time, making your sheets look professional and your manager thinks you spent ages on them. The commands and functions are easy to learn and there are so many videos online in case you get stuck. And, if some dept demands an XL sheet you can jsut download it in that file format. I love being able to share and allow my team to add and update the sheet in real time, saving a million emails back and forth. Cons I would not change a thing, for my use it's perfect and easy to teach others how to use. I use Excel sheets everyday for different tracking items. It has great features and is directly connected to your drive so its easily organized.
