### "Google sheets "excels" when paired with G Suite!"

Pros

A simple to use spreadsheet software that even the most technophobic users can wrap their heads around. Autosave feature, as well as the ability to revert to older, saved versions. Collaborate on sheets at the same time live and see what changes were made and by whom minute by minute if desired. It hasn't disappointed me yet, I don't expect it will.

Cons

Works great for a basic spreadsheet but lacks the features of the M brand software. There are apps that can be added to it for more functionality.

Remotely being able to access, edits, share, download my spreadsheets using any device, any time

Pros

Being able to pull up my data on any device and even edit it right there. The ability to work offline is great because I can then work on the airplane, etc. If I need to quick put together a table or spreadsheet Google sheets is great.

Cons

I run into a few glitches and differences from Excel that make it challenging from time to time. I end up searching forums online for how to do certain things. Crop an image is one of them.

Collaboration is a huge thing in the business world today, and Google Sheets allows for this to be so easily done. My experience has been great because for me, all the functionality I have needed has been there.

Pros

Google Sheets is used by so many people, and I’m the business setting it is so helpful to use when collaborating with coworkers. If I make a mistake, my managers and I can retrieve a previous version of the same file instead of needing to save it locally every time, and when I am working on a file, I can get in the moment feedback on my work thanks to live edits so I don’t spend hours doing the work incorrectly.

Cons

Of course this application is a bit lower level, and it will not have the functionality of a counterpart like Microsoft Excel. Higher level functions that may be on Excel aren’t available, so in that sense you must review exactly what you need to do when deciding whether Google Sheets is right for you.

### "A good way to share information within small workgroups"

We are able to instantly share changes to documents within the workgroup, and the collaborative features make it better for collaboration than our more powerful full Document Management system.

Pros

We use Sheets to store shared information within project workgroups. This is especially useful where multiple users need to access or edit the information collaboratively. We extensively use the scripting features to make it more powerful.

Cons

The features of Sheets are not as good as those of Excel, and scripting is not always a painless experience.

Pros

It's really the entire Google Suite that our organization likes. The ability to edit in real-time with co-workers in a cross-functional workspace is extremely important, especially for an organization who does a lot of work remotely. The efficiency of the product and ability to convert documents to various formats is exactly why we use this product so much. All of our workbooks start as Google Sheet Workbooks.

Cons

To be completely honest, I don't have anything to say negatively about Google Sheets.

Creating Bill of Materials for projects that everyone on the team can modify and lookup is incredibly useful. Besides graphing, Sheets does everything you need it to do in regards to sorting and handling large amounts of data.

Pros

Portability is the most outstanding feature of Google Sheets. Being able to open and work with spreadsheets anywhere you have an internet connection and a device is the most useful aspect of this.

Cons

The graphing capabilities are very lacking when compared to Excel. Gets the job done, but not nearly as powerful or nice to use.

Generally excellent experience and no major issues.

Pros

Out of all the tools in the G suite, this one is probably the easiest to transition to from Microsoft Office. There are certain advanced functions that I miss (or don't know how to achieve in Google Sheets), however they are more nice to have than essential.

Cons

Not having a dedicated offline version is probably the biggest gripe, however you can still perform edits offline using the chrome extension. This is just something you need to get used to over time.

My tasks are safe, up to date, it saves me a lot of time, since all the information I need is fed by other departments when I share it online, I do my tasks comfortably in this google sheets.

Pros

I love working and creating my tasks in these spreadsheets, super friendly, easy to use and I can share online and keep my work up to date, I can run it from any PC just by opening my gmail account. It is free and it is also a way to store information, since it is available digitally and I feel safe when using it.

Cons

Although it is tremendous application of spreadsheet, tends to lock when you put a lot of data, but nevertheless it is only a detail, which requires a gmail account to enjoy their benefits.

Pros

The easy of use across all platform Android,iOS ,Linux or windows you only need a browser to use it. For more functionality Google chrome should be installed but vs all benefits are a low cost for this.

Cons

In some cases the use of multi sheets on differents places are difficult either when is the same user in the same Google drive account each documents has a extremely long indentifier.

We are not particularly solving major problems within our organization, but we are able to share data and metrics reporting much faster than before. Instead of waiting to send spread sheets through email, we are able to share a screen and work on the data we are looking at together.

Pros

Once you get use to using the software its quite intuitive and can do some amazing things. There is somewhat of a learning curve if this is your first exposure to spread sheets and being able to data share.

Cons

It takes a while to learn how to use it. Where you would expect certain features to be for instance as in Microsoft Excel, those same functions don't line the same in sheets. But again, once you understand where every thing is and understand its functionality one can pick up on its use very quickly.

When I discovered Google Sheets, my life changed. I am too cheap to invest in Microsoft, so I typically use OpenOffice. However, I haven't found a good (free) app for talk-to-text with OO. Google Sheets solved that issue for me. Not only that, I can still save my work to share as a Microsoft or OpenOffice document, depending on the needs of the person I am sending it to.

Pros

GoogleSheets is free. You can easily share what you've written with others, and opt to let them view only, be able to edit, and more.

Cons

What is there not to like about Google Sheets? You can even do talk-to-text!

I've been using Google Sheets for several years now and I am very happy with it as a product in the Google suite. Cloud saves as you work are handy for having data consistently backed-up. It's also the best spreadsheet software because of the ease of collaboration with others.

Pros

Google Sheet is easy enough to use for a variety of projects in a variety of settings. For example, I use it to manage personal finances, project budgets for business, and manage billing schedules, among others. The integration with the Google suite is great for several reasons, but primarily because it allows for seamless and easy collaboration with team members. Additionally, it can be extended with Google Scripts, allowing me to create custom functions and automation, which is incredibly useful.

Cons

There is very little that I do not like about Google Sheets. A feature that I would like to see implemented is ES6 (ECMAScript 5) compatibility in Google scripts.

Overall, great tool for my marketing team. The ability to edit sheets in real-time has really helped our team with communication and meeting deadlines.

Pros

Google sheets is the most versatile cloud tool on the market. Having the ability to edit and share in real-time has allowed my marketing to accomplish tasks fater than ever. The best part is that Google sheet still has most of the functionality of Excel.

Cons

Although a great cloud tool, Google sheets lacks some of the intuitiveness of Excel like formulas and copy/paste features.

Pros

I like the ability to access and edit my spreadsheets from any computer I log in too. I also like giving viewing and/or editing access to the spreadsheet and seeing it change in real-time.

Cons

I'm used to Microsoft Excel so some of the tools and arrangement of features is different. It's a small learning curve if you are used to Excel and are transitioning.

Peace of mind, cloud storage, simple interface, quicker load times, and virtually no barriers to entry.

Pros

It's quicker than Excel, and it doesn't need (or have) all the bloated features of Excel. Excel works for a lot of reasons, and 80% of its features are useless. Sheets rightly focuses on the 20%.

Cons

Because it is cloud-based, sometimes it'll take several refreshes to update the data. Worse yet, it goes bananas when you try to run Kaspersky Secure Connection in the background: flashing, unable to load formulas, etc.

I use google sheets for a number of cases - expenses, project tracking etc

Pros

It's one of best online collaboration spreadsheet I ever used. You can have multiple people editing and it has a versioning system inbuilt. You can restrict the sharing and privacy, give view only rights, edit it from multiple devices. All you need is a valid account. I really like this and recommend google sheets. They have many templates available ready made which is a huge plus

Cons

Nothing at all, I like it and will continue using it.

Overall it's easy to use and something I use regularly when I need to create spreadsheets that need to be collaborated on.

Pros

It's easily readable and allows me to create standard excel sheets for basic math functions. Collaboration becomes super easy with Google Sheets. I have used it for a range of fields such as physics and statistics. Most features or functions required at a college level are available and accessible in Google Sheets. Making basic graphs is quick and easy, with the controls sometimes more intuitive than competitors such as Excel.

Cons

The bad part is how the graphs are not visually appealing--or at least not as much as other software. Getting columns to work for multi-column and multi-series data was not intuitive but nevertheless achievable. The default appearance settings are not as nice-looking, and the platform isn't customizable.

Google Sheets has helped me with reporting, making tables for colleagues, or just simply making a budget for my household expenses. With it's presentable and easy to use interface, I don't feel lost when switching data from Excel to G-Sheets.

Pros

Although, it may mimic Microsoft Excel, Google sheets brings an easier view of all collected data and the features are a little more enhanced than complex.

Cons

FORMULAS! But thats with any spreadsheet Im working with. Once I have the logic of most formulas down then there wouldn't be any cons to really recognize with this product.

I've been using it personally and professionally for years now and it's been the easiest and quickest way to get simple spreadsheet operations down and sharing it to others. It's great for "on the go" viewing and editing too.

Pros

It's easily editable by multiple people and able to be used at the same time. Can share it extremely easy while also accessing it on multiple platforms (mobile, desktop, etc.)

Cons

Doesn't have as many "editable" features like its counterparts (i.e. Excel). Some of the copy and paste from other sources come in a bit weird.

Definitely my favorite program and site to use at my job. I love that's it's all online and I can access it anywhere. One of the best programs to store and manage data.

Pros

I love that it's free! Microsoft can learn a lesson from its counterparts in that matter. It's easier to use than excel and can have you showing data in graphs to clients in no time. It's a great way to compile a lot of information.

Cons

Making graphs and equations usually takes a little self learning. I wish there were more tutorials in google Sheets to help you.

### "Great way to organize a team."

We use this for scheduling daily tasks and marking them off so that multiple people can be working on multiple projects at once and we can see what others have been working on and completed.

Pros

I really like that its web based so anyone can update a sheet from anywhere. I also like the Excel style functions that make using sheets not such a learning curve.

Cons

I can't think of anything I do not like. Its always synced well and we can always tell who the last edit was. I guess a version history would be nice if they don't already have it.
