Hence I need software that solves most of my problems related to documents. This software has all the features that I need every day. All the steps for conversion, compression etc are also straightforward. This software also helps me in managing all my shared documents in one place. Pros The merge and compression tools are my most used features. Many official websites require documents of a particular size. I use this software to resize my documents for that, and the resized version is also of high quality. It is also easier to manage and share smaller sized documents. Hence the compression tool is really handy. Uploading files from the cloud or PC is also easy with the drag-drop feature. I also use the conversion tool to manage my ppts as pdfs and convert them back to ppts when needed. I can easily collaborate with my teammates by sharing files and writing comments on the documents as needed. Cons I don't think there is any big problem with this software. I have tried everything from Acrobat Professional and Luratech's products to separate OCR apps like Abbyy, and nothing gets the results that PdfCompressor does. Pros Pdf Compressor has the best combination of readability, size reduction and good OCR of any of the products on the market. I have tried everything available, and no other one offers the deep ability to create custom configurations for different kinds of source documents, ranging from reprocessing of very large PDFs to assembling jpg or tiff raw scans. My final PDFs go on a website that documents the history of the radio and broadcasting industry, and users like the smaller downloads and never have complained about being able to open and view the PdfCompressor files, no matter what viewer they use. Cons The file selection and output menus default to options I never want. While I easily get around that, the software should enabled custom defaults such as "combine documents" and "don't send failed pages to another directory". The file selection menu should also have a configurable setup, such as a standard "open from" location. And the file display should obey Windows standards, such as CTL-Click to select multiple files or folders.
