Owner Farming Used the software for: 2+ years ### "The saviour of small business" June 4, 2021 5.0 During the time we have been in farming and small business, the legal and other requirements have become so complex and extensive that we gave been in danger of being overwhelmed. Our expertise is on the farm, not in the office. After our accountant introduced us to Cash Manager the whole huge task of running an economic and compliant business became achievable. Pros The end of month reconciliation has become an effortless procedure, monthly GST returns are straightforward and end of year reconciliations no longer the nightmares they used to be. Cons I would like more opportunity for training to improve upon my use of the program but find the courses on offer more expensive, unjustifiable for businesses the size of ours. I dont get many issues but when I do I need help . This can often be after normal business hours and aaaaaI wish that other essential support services were as accessible, responsive and could always solve my questions or problems. Any suggestions for things that will make my business more responsive or to cope with the growth and changes that you need to adapt your business to have been met. When I spoke to help desk person they weren't surprised and didn't even ask why.... Guess I'm one of many. Pros Was ok using the CD version. Reasonably intuitive Cons Server slow and down on occasion. Had to use help desk to change wording on an invoice! ( Unable to do this without going in "back end" No app for mobile phone. Director Maritime Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Intuitive software for non technical operators" June 8, 2021 5.0 While the system is intuitive, there are occasionally times when I'm intellectually challenged and need to call "customer support", On every occasion the problem is resolved quickly and in a friendly, yet professional manner Pros I have now used Cash Manager for 20 years on up to three businesses at a time. It's operating system is intuitive and now that we are using the on-line system we can operate it from wherever we are at the time. The online system is also great for Apple computer users. Manager Glass, Ceramics & Concrete Used the software for: 2+ years ### "King Country Glass" June 16, 2021 4.0 Our biggest problem is being restricted to one user, Now we have gone on line and can have 2 users has been great to enable us both to continue working our debtors and creditors at the same time. Pros When we purchased our business in 2004 there was no software package, everything was manually recorded. We went with cashmanager to run out debtors and creditors and this programme now holds 17 years of records which has been invaluable for our repeat customers. Cons I think there could have been more training offered over the years as I probably don't utilise cash manager to its full potential. Now we have gone to 2 users I am finding the automatic generation of an invoice number very annoying as I am getting duplicate invoice numbers. Previously I could enter the invoice number and if there was a duplicate I would be given a warning. Now we have to override the system to enter a job number. Pros I like the on line support and the modern features that make this product about right for small to medium enterprises. Cons Downloading bank statements can be a headache . Journals are not well developed nor are the financial reports Reason for choosing CashManager by Accomplish A better price and the program is tailored for small business owners and (normally their wives) to readily record and understand what they are doing. This has elminated all the issues about downloading the bank statements for you. As for the journals and the financial reports - these are at a very simplistic level to ensure the non-accountant can use CashManager accurately. 95% of our clients don't use the version that has the financial reports or journals in it due to the fact that double sided accounting is too complex for a lot of business owners who don't have any accounting experiece. I used it in a previous accounting position and I find it easy to use, great support if there are changes in the updates. Pros The shortcuts when completing the reconciliation. Cons I seem to get a few errors. Staff have advised that it is to do with the interface with the TSB Bank. However staff are always resolve the issues in a timely manner. Pros For a total accountant amateur this software (and the help from phone ins) were a godsend. It has helped me keep all the records and to do my GST and end of year stuff so easily. Cons I'm not an accountant and I just use the bits I can use and they are great.
