How I can't update to the latest update. It doesn't work and I have to do a work around which makes me delete and reset up the app again. I have spoked to quite a few customer service people about it.

Everything in one window for multiple email inboxes, asana app, and slack app

I have already blocked from my mind how awful it was to log in and out of software all the time in a regular browser!

Pros

I love that I can log into multiple Google accounts--both private and G Suite--without having to log out of one to log into another. No more confusion--only less stress and more time! I also like that I can have all of my project management software, accounting software, and much more in one place.

Cons

I do have to re-log into things on a regular basis, but I assume that is due to other issues outside of Shift's control. It's not troublesome, and it does make me feel more secure in the platform, too.

My overall experience has been pleasant with Shift. I do like having everything in one window however I just wish it was a bit cheaper.

Pros

I love how Shift is a central hub for your everyday apps and how easy it is to use. Having everything in one window makes your desktop a lot cleaner.

Cons

My only issue is that the cost is a bit high. There's usually a sale if you wait however at the end of the day the normal price is a bit steep to have the option to open less windows.

My workflow is much improved as I can quickly monitor all my accounts at once.

Pros

The ability to easily review all of my gmail and office365 accounts quickly is a huge time saver. No other software lets me easily see at a glance if I have unread emails or not for the 10 different accounts I maintain.

Cons

Sometimes the calendar 'tab' doesn't load due to the network connection not being available right away, and I miss calendar reminders because the tab didn't open, and I didn't know the tab didn't open. Sometimes clicking on links in the emails are very slow to open.

Overall Shift has improved the way I work and made it easier.

Pros

It's awesome that I have most of my core webbased platforms all in one place. It makes it easier to keep track of all of my communication. It also performs better than running Gmail in the browser.

Cons

Nothing really at this point. Every once in awhile I'll run into an extension or Google add-on that isn't supported but the Shift team is very open to suggestions.

Reason for choosing Shift

I tried each out and liked Shift the best. They are also constantly improving it and you can easily opt into their Beta, and even Alpha releases!

### "Fantastic software but still too many bugs"

When it works the software saves so much time enabling you to access various email addresses all from one page. Really hoping the developers fix the bugs and speed up the programme

Pros

Like many people I use quite a few different email accounts, the ability to access them all through one task bar icon (Shift) without having to go in and out of different web pages is a huge time-saving operation and something I really wanted to work well but unfortunately this isn't always the case. The good news is that it looks like the developers are adding and upgrading features all the time and at quite a fast pace so hopefully the software will improve

Cons

Shift can be very slow at times defeating the object of saving you time switching between different emails, it also has a habit of crashing quite regularly to the point that I have currently uninstalled and reverted to accessing my emails separately again. But I will go back and try Shift again, the benefits of when it was working are too good to miss

I hated having a million browser tabs open all at once and Shift solved that problem. I'm able to locate what I need quickly so I can work more efficiently.

Pros

Shift helps me stay organized and find what I'm looking for easily and quickly. It has been tremendously helpful to me in working with multiple apps and websites every day. I don't know what I would do without it now.

Cons

It's a little buggy, especially with the email (which tends to lose login info). There are some features I wish it had, but overall it's a good product.

For a company where all of our tools are online, it makes a great central hub for all daily work. And the tight integration with engineering tools is nice.

Pros

I love Shift. I have 2 google suite accounts, Microsoft ToDo, Spotify, Confluence, JIRA, Evernote, 1password, Linkedin, Twitter, Facebook, and Bitbucket all hooked up. I used to have 2 monitors and lots of windows up at the same time. Now I can stay in a single app to do all of my work. Especially nice is the ability to install Shift on my home machine, where it instantly pulls down all of my accounts already setup and ready to use. Very nice.

Cons

Spotify keeps breaking, but the local app is a workaround. Plus it is a pain in the Google Suite apps to have to switch back a forth from the left icon bar and the top right icon bar (for calendar, Gmail, and Drive). I would love to see it all consolidated on the left. Plus it is kind of expensive, but luckily I was able to expense it.

It honesty saves me time, everything is in one page- and overall- I do like the interface

Pros

I love the simplicity of having multiple Gmail accounts logged in and not have 10 windows open- easy to access G-drive- and other software like Frame.io

Cons

Maybe I don’t see it, but I need a refresh button, wether for the page I’m on, or for the entire account page

Pros

I love Shift's unified workspace. I can access most of the applications that I use on a daily basis from a single window. It is easy to bounce back and forth and it keeps my desktop clutter to a minimum.

Cons

The think I like least is that I don't have the option to disable the integrated PDF viewer. I don't like how it functions. I'd much rather my PDFs be opened in a separate window or downloaded.

Overall despite the cons listed above, great software

Pros

I have the ability to have Jira, Conflence, android messaging, gmail, discord and more all in the same application. its like auto opening all of my most used sites at once.

Cons

Grammarly and last pass do not work well. there is no dark theme/filter option for the inner applications. unable to copy images from the Facebook or Redit tabs, I have to right click, copy page url, paste it in a web browser, then copy image. And I am unable to add my work webmail. Also a bit pricey for needing this much improvement.

It's lovely not to have to suffer without an application for some many of my web apps.

Pros

Its a full client for web apps and all the functionality is designed to work around that. I love the dedication to plugins. it also keeps me from depending on my browser for my email and communications. I get an indicator in my taskbar, its cross platform (for home and work).

Cons

I think it's still quite a battery and memory hog.

Pros

Shift is amazing for keeping track of multiple email accounts in a way that is organized and streamlined. I love being able to search all of my accounts at once, as well as jump between accounts easily.

Cons

I wish I could split the window into half one email account and the other half a different email account.

wonderful, could not do without it. Once I started using to to move between email and chat platforms, I have never looked back. This is by far the most best way I have found to keep me off my phone and focused at work.

Pros

I can so much easier control the chaos of email, apps and the various platforms I use on a regular basis

Cons

Trouble with chrome extension is an issue and spotify does not work - but other than that I have no real complaints

Glorious. Life Saving. Time Saving. Amazing. Must Have!

Pros

This app allows me to have ALL of my clients accounts open at the same time without having to use browsers. This app is essential for anyone that uses multiple email accounts.

Cons

When it glitches and I have to text my agent to let me know when they can text me a code so I can get back in. It would be nice if it wouldn't log anyone out.

Overall when there have not been updates it has been a good experience, but it can be improved for sure. Decrease lag time, remember logged-in accounts and that will make things much smoother.

Pros

Love having everything accessible in one place.

Cons

Every time there is an update I need to reenter all of the passwords. When you have a lot connected through it becomes very tedious. LastPass does not work thrught it for me, so it does not auto-fill as it should. The software seems to be a bit slow on receiving google email, seems like there is a longer than should be lag time.

Overall it has made things much easier to manage.

Pros

I love that you get the feel of Gmail with a bit more customization. I have multiple email accounts for personal and work and it just makes it so much easier to manage. No more logging in and out or having multiple windows open. Everything is just in one eas to access place.

Cons

I wish when I was trying it out it didn't have the Shift signature. Since I was trying it out with my work accounts I was afraid people would see it as unprofessional.

Pros

It preserves the gmail experience and adds the value of having it in a separate application, not a browser. Add in the ability to use drive, calendar, and other apps as well, and you’ve got a great tool that really streamlines your overcrowded computer.

Cons

Honestly, nothing bad to say. It just adds value to the gmail for web experience. If you want a different client, go find one. If you love gmail but don’t love it living in a browser, then you’ll love shift’s simplicity.

Pros

As the founder of a non profit, a software consultant, and human being in the internet age i have multiple email accounts, a variety of instant messengers, both personal and professional, and different communications accounts like twitter. It's just too much to keep track of in multiple windows or tabs in a browser. Shift allows me to quickly switch between all my methods of communication. I also find it psychologically jarring and exhausting switching between so many apps. Shift unifies everything into a single environement.

Cons

It is a little cumbersome to transfer information from one app to the other. I'd like to be able to "tear out" an app so I can see two things at once, or drag and drop between apps.

Shift have optimized my productivity completely. It is night and day!

Pros

I love how easy this software is to use. I do 95% of my work through Shift now. I used to have a million tabs open and it was such a pain. Now I can do almost everything I need to without leaving Shift. There was one time I was having trouble with Shift and I contacted customer service. They were extremely helpful and fixed the problem right away. I recommended Shift to my coworker and she is in love with it. Soon we are going to try and implement it with the rest if our team.

Cons

I really have no complaints about this software. I use Timular for my timekeeping and it would be nice if they would work together but I don't know if that's a possibility.
