Pros

Cons

Linking multiple units together on the calendar has been difficult. Unable to link a parent unit to multiple units.

### "Amazing! Can't Recommend enough!"

Loved it from the start! So easy to set up, the customer service has been impeccable with any queries I've had. It's saved me many many hours and made communication much more seamless between both the guests and extended team. Thank you for creating and developing such an amazing product!

Pros

First of all the Customer Service is the best I have ever experienced! The executives have responded very quickly and informatively. The features are great! I manage 12 properties and done A LOT of research before deciding upon YourPorter and it has definitely paid off! I LOVE the form that can be sent to guests where they fill in their arrival time, this is automatically fed to the extended team, reducing communication time immensely. So easy to use and has saved me many many hours whilst providing a better service to our guests.I also love the evolution, new features are constantly being released making it even more of a beast! :)

Cons

I love the emails being sent from my own email address so replies are sent directly to that. But one limitation I found was that only one attachment was allowed to be sent along with the emails. However I found a workaround to save all of the attachments as a single Zip file which has worked. It would be even better if we could share the Timeline as we can the Calendar to the extended team.

### "Best Channel Manager for a Small Operator"

It's great. I've tried or gone through demo presentations at almost every other mainstream service that seemed like it might work for a small operator like me, and none of them offered this kind of value.

Pros

I love how customizable it is. I love that there is no setup fee. I love that everything is super easy to understand. I love that it syncs with exactly the channels I need -- Airbnb, HomeAway/VRBO, and Booking.com. Everything I need and nothing I don't. I like the small but interesting features like the "Airbnb rankings booster." All I need is a channel manager. I don't need a full service property manager. Services like Guesty cost upwards of $500 just to get set up, and then each month you're charged $20 per property! To me that seems excessive.

Cons

Navigating (back, forward, etc) on the website can be confusing b/c it's really designed to be viewed on a mobile phone.

So far I believe Guesty is going to of great benefit to me in my business, and the price Is great for all th services provided.

Pros

I like being able to use for Booking, VRBO, and Airbnb. It is easy to set up and use, and integrates well with all 3 platforms. I like the time it will be saving me with automated messaging and scheduling.

Cons

I had a little bit of a challenge attaching my Booking.com listing to Guesty at first, but with a little patience I figured it out. I think a few video tutorials might help with ease of use.

You can link AirBNB and booking.com so when one gets booked it communicates and blocks the room on the other site straight away. Guests can check in and out automatically. Booking is automatic

Cons

Setting up the rules is a bit cumbersome but once you have set up one you can pretty much cut and paste for the rest of your properties

### "Avoid Guesty if Connecting VRBO"

Guesty customer support is absolutely horrible. My issue stemmed from inability to connect to VRBO which appears to be an issue with the cancellation policy. I created an account with Guesty on May 22 and it has been nearly SIX weeks without the ability to connect or access my VRBO account. This has cost me thousands of dollars during peak summer booking season. More than 35+ emails have been exchanged with zero resolution and only a "our development team is working on it" response provided. In this time, there has not been an opportunity or offer to have even a phone conversation with customer support - everything has been through email which for this issue, it would have been helpful. When I stated that I was going to disconnect all connected platforms, only then did I get offered an 'opportunity' to speak with a customer success representative. Having experienced this, I would NEVER recommend Guesty for Hosts with anyone.

Pros

Connecting your rental platforms is great - no issues with AirBnb. VRBO is a different story and the customer support has been horrible to say the least. Automated messages to your guests is very helpful. One stop shop for rental management is great.

Cons

Inability to connect with VRBO which has led to significant loss of bookings during peak summer season. Customer Support is horrible.

Pros

Guesty for Hosts automated messaging system is the main thing that we use the platform for. It saves us a ton of time and energy not having to keep track of messages being sent to guest on check in and check out. The ability to link to our smart locks is another huge benefit of the program. It again saves us a ton of hassle to not have to generate our own codes for guests.

Cons

The software is clunky to use sometimes. It seems a litte outdated and could be more user friendly. The customer service chat is also non existent. It just directs to articles that are sometimes helpful, sometimes not. It would be better to talk to or chat with a human to resolve issues.

I have used yourporter for several years. Recently, I thought I needed a more robust system so paid thousands more for a competitor. I spent weeks trying to onboard it and found that there were many features I took for granted in yourporter that the expensive software couldn't do so I have come back to yourporter and love it.

Pros

Mobile interface is great. My cleaning staff likes that they can see a calendar link and that they can get text notifications. Not sure how much it helps, but I appreciate that they have some tools to improve rankings. I just got my direct booking website up and running which was super easy and seems to work great.

Cons

It doesn't integrate well across many platforms.

It is a good software that will save me lots of time and headaches from double bookings and logging into to multiple OTA's. It is great to be able to do things from one place.

Pros

The messaging and calendar integration have been huge for us to have one place to get everything done.

Cons

Customer service and on-boarding has been difficult. Having a FAQ sheet to learn how to use the software versus a person or videos to see how its done.

Reason for choosing Guesty Lite

Your Porter seemed like the best value of all the products that we looked at. Guesty has more features and is more user friendly but the cost is simply to much for my business when compared to Your Porter. Your Porter has most all of the same features just scaled down and without as much customization for a great price point. Also not charging me a for months that I do not have bookings is a massive bonus for me as I manage in a seasonal market where the rentals are closed half the year.

Channel management features. I have booked on AirBNB, VRBO, Booking and my Website and it keeps everything organized.

Cons

Some new features on Booking.com makes me have to go to both websites. The service is defintely focused on AirBNB of all the different websites that it supports.

As a new host I am loving Guesty! It syncs my rental across all my platforms, makes communicating with guests and cleaners so easy and seamless. I like that the app allows me to text cleaners from my own number. Also love that I can set up automated messages in the platform for guests.

Cons

I wish there was a little more customization in the messaging with cleaners.

Pros

Very feature rich. Checked every box on the marketing side.

Cons

This product does not work. It is very buggy. the app is broken. There is absolutely NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! The only option is email even though it says chat and 24/7. Bull. They need to take this off the market and use Guesty for 1 property.

it needs to have customer service phone support. It is very difficult to navigate if you are starting up with a free trial and spend most of your time trying to get loaded up before you can experience the product. A phone call and maybe a personal walk through would be far more to the company's advantage to get more clients on board. I sent and email with an issue last week and just got the reply before my free trial was due to expire so that was a whole week wasted waiting on a response and I still wasn't sure what I was doing . In short : LESS TECH AND MORE CUSTOMER SUPPORT IS THE KEY !

Cons No one to talk to you for help or guidance which is difficult if you are not computer savvy

Pros

It is a very complete tool with many useful functionalities to manage your property or your clients' properties.The good thing is that it adapts to any need.

Cons

I think it still has a long way to go to be able to have a smooth and easy navigation to use the software without hesitation or difficulty.Also the languages are missing, it can only be used in English and if you want to share it with your clients who don't speak English, you can't do it because they won't understand what they see.

As a YourPorter customer everything worked great. Then in came Guesty for Host. And it was good at first and then the last experiences have been very bad. Absolutely no customer service. And I mean NONE. I have submitted tickets for the past 3 months and no answers. In the meantime I had to leave and move on.

Pros

I actually really like the software and how well it works. Especially the messaging.

Cons

It would have been good to have the rental platforms connected so that we had immediate updates.

These are minor remarksthe iphone app is a bit slow to load.editing messages (on iphone) is not very practical (the window is too small)The WhatsApp, SMS part does not always work well

I had trouble with syncing the calendars with VRBO and AirBnb. I had to reach out to customer support twice, but they helped me get it resolved.

Pros

It automates the process. I like the automated messaging too.

Cons

I thought I had calendars synchronized from different channels but I had a double booking. I reached out to support and they helped me correct the problem. Then I had another double booking. I reached out again and they gave me different instructions. That time it corrected the problem.
