It often doesn't load, it doesn't tie my listings into the right place sometimes, notifications to the cleaners don't go out more than they do go out, the support is atrocious takes week and sometimes months to get back to you (3 months is my record for a reply)

Pros

It was not a good experience and will probably be switching soon.

Pros

Guesty for Hosts does the minimum well, but there are other better products out there for less money.

Cons

Guesty for Hosts has poor customer support. They treat Guesty for Hosts very badly and seem to have little regard for Hosts users compared to Guesty for Pros. They focus all of their time and energy on the Pros. Why even have a Hosts level if they don't support the users or update the product. They do false advertising to draw you in only to discover that most of the integrations with other products are only for the Pros subscription and the Hosts level.

Pros

I am very happy with the integration modules allowing cross promotion between platforms, and the ability to manage smart locks via the site relieves a lot of stress and reduces manual input required.

Cons

The calendar functionality used on a mobile device, can be a little more user friendly. Often when editing current reservations or updating blocked out dates, it takes a few hops, skips, and jumps to get the task accomplished.

### "Buyer beware they’re very unreliable in so many ways "

Definitely not a good experience. Overall, we decided to go with another software after giving them chances. Customer service is slow to answer, and there are just way too many glitches with calendars and double bookings. We have posted on host support sites and have the same thing for many owners.

Pros

The ease of set up and easy to maneuver on the site and app

Cons

They are one of the most unreliable, inconsistent and unprofessional companies we have dealt with in this business. It takes days for customer service to answer you if you’re having a problem, and most of the time, it’s a big answer, and requires you to go back-and-forth, which adds more time. The sync feature for calendars and integrations is horrible. we have had consistent double bookings because of glitches on their end. This is a dealbreaker for us.

Guesty overall has been a top notch experience for us. We've had some technical glitches and customer service sometimes is on the slow side with today's work enviroment of too much work and not enough employees, but Guesty has done a great job overall of managing our platforms and I would highly recommend it.

Pros

Overall, Guesty is a fantastic tool. The ease of having all of our listings and information all in one place, makes the management of our listings so much easier. Guesty is also very user friendly and at the same time a very robust application.

Cons

The integration platform is at times cumbersome and sometimes confusing. Step by step directions need to be updated to match the actual integration process for each platform.

As of this review (June 12th, 2023), I would recommend using a different platform if planning to list on sites outside of AirBnb. The bugs I experienced in my 2 weeks were too severe, slow, and difficult to resolve. I don't have a problem using buggy software until it starts affecting the basic task at hand; unfortunately, I believe Guesty For Hosts is a software that was rolled out too early and could cause more harm than good to a customer.Overall: 3/5 starsUser Interface: 3/5 stars (Mobile Included)AirBnb Integration: 4.5/5 starsVrbo Integration: 2/5 starsCustomer Support Speed/Reliability: 1/5 stars

Pros

Syncing calendars between AirBnb and Vrbo. This worked most of the time, but I did have multiple issues with Vrbo reservations lagging to show on customer-facing calendars. This led to an instance of a double booking. Ultimately, I "resolved" this issue by disabling Instant Bookings-- therefore, all reservations are filtered manually.

Cons

Guesty's integration into Vrbo is broken to put it simply. To start, it was slow to integrate as it took ~3 days of downtime before my Vrbo posting was manageable again (if you integrate before your rental season, this shouldn't be a problem). Once integrated, Guesty attempted to deploy my AirBnb listing to the Vrbo platform but botched the job as it modified the Vrbo listing to have 13 bedrooms opposed to the 2 bedrooms my AirBnb displays (AirBnb has a feature to assign pictures to each room, and somehow the 13 rooms in my house each were listed as bedrooms on Vrbo).Another issue I continue to see is that Vrbo reservation lag to update in Guesty's database (and one time not populating in the database at all). If Instant Booking is enabled and you're in a popular area, you will observe scheduling conflicts.Lastly and potentially the biggest issue of Guesty, is the limited Customer Support. There's no phone number to call and it operates on an "email ticket" basis-- so a day or two can go by before hearing back from them. This can be detrimental when mixing the previously mentioned bugs into time-sensitive scenarios. With that being said, once I was able to schedule a video call with their Customer Support, I was matched with someone who was helpful-- you can just tell they're heavily outmatched with all the issues they're receiving.

I have been a ProHost on Guesty for Hosts (formerly known as YourPorter) for many years now and only after testing/comparing nearly every short term rental software on the market in excruciating depth. At that time back in 2019, this was truly the premier option for managing a handful of short term rental properties quickly, efficiently, and from any device. The Porter team felt small, but development was rapid and support responsive. Most/all of that changed with the acquisition and rebranding into Guesty for Hosts. Customer support responses are canned, generic, and generally careless. Significant bugs, including major ones that mess up pricing when used with industry standard smart pricing tools, break availability windows when toggling between options, and mandate force-quitting the iOS mobile app on every relaunch are persistent and unresolved months after being reported. While I still love the idea of mobile-first channel manager with the features and flexibility that Guesty for Hosts offers, the growing list of major bugs that cause me hours of troubleshooting and self-solving are growing old and I am beginning to start looking/testing other channel management tools that work more consistently and reliably, without costing an arm and a leg.

Pros

Automated messaging includes several features beyond the industry standard dynamic tags from customer reservations like if/then messaging criteria that can be used to create advanced guest upsells based on whether or not there are guests checking in before/after others, whether a guest has completed the integrated check-in form, and how many other reservation variables such as min/max guests, min/max stays, and days to check-in. Additionally, the mobile-first UX of the product makes managing on smartphone (almost) as easy as managing on desktop, with most/all features available on the go, even if things like messaging templates are largely unusable given tiny text entry fields and dated web-frame based UI. Lastly, integrated direct booking capability provides additional revenue opportunities for hosts with chops to register their own domain name and promote their own booking capabilities to avoid the 20-30% platform tax.

Cons

Ever since the Guesty acquisition customer support has gone off the rails: support inquiries are generally responses with canned/generic responses, new features are nonexistent, and longstanding bugs in the software (like the one that can't unblock availability in your calendar if/when you change the availability window) will cost hosts who use the product real dollars. Additionally, the dated mobile interface, while undoubtedly innovative back in its day used a dated, cross-platform technology that's largely just embedding sliding webpage frames inside of a local mobile app. This has led to the need for me to force-quit the iOS map nearly \*every single time it's launched\* in order to even view/access the calendar on an iPhone.

### "Using Your Porter Vs Other PMS/CM applications"

Its a great app. Our company went through 4 other apps before settling with your porter.

Pros

\-Lets start by simply putting they connect to the listings very easily/fast -Automated MSG is a must these days and is a plus that we can send SMS or Whatsapp msg. (The Whatsapp feature would be a lot better if we didn't have to add every guest to out contacts but I do understand that not in your control). -The task manager is also a must for cleaners and maintenance. (we don't use it as much as we should but it is a great tool to have once we get more properties) -The integration with Booking/VRBO is also a plus. Some of the better PMS services only have airbnb and VRBO and other have over 100+ and they don't matter. sorry to say this but maybe people around the world use these very small websites to book accommodations but to me its just too small a market to even use and waste time connecting to. (Airbnb, VRBO, Expedia, Booking.com are the main ones to look for) -Of course the calendar and timeline feature is good but every single PMS/CM has this and some are better and some are worse. They work and that's all that matters. -The booster feature seems good but who knows if it really works. The algorithms change for all the aps to know if updating a photo here and there actually does anything. The truth is if your using any of these apps the best way to take advantage of them is to use a dynamic pricing app with them. -Last thing...use a dynamic pricing app with this to get the best use of the calendar and pricing together. It saves time and brings in more money.

\-Not a fan of the fact you need to have the default language in English. I live in France and although the app automatically changes the language, when you want to send a quick one time MSG it always sends it in English and doesn't have the option to change it to the secondary language. (at least on the mobile app). -last is the automated msg. This has been the best feature we have used on any PMS apps and is an MUST for us going forward. Your Porters has a decent interface and is simple to use but sometimes we wish they had more A.I features that can detect keywords and auto reply. For example: We continuously get asked for our address no matter how many times its on our listing, but if the app could detect when someone askes these obvious questions it will send a msg back right away it would be PERFECT! these days more and more apps are doing this type of auto MSG and I think if Your porter continues to update this feature we will never leave.

### "Must have STR management program in the palm of your hand!"

I started with yourporter which was purchased by Guesty and it was a seamless transition. I have been extremely satisfied with this program and highly recommend it to anyone who has short term rentals!

Pros

There are so many great features in this program. It allows me to manage multiple units across several platforms and simplified the management processes whether scheduling a cleaning, changing rates and availability, prevents double booking across platforms and I’ve set up a consistent messaging to my clients. I also love the automated reviews. Saves me much time and effort and allows for effective communications with my co-host and cleaning crews. It also has an AirBnB listing booster and my rooms get consistently booked. I highly recommend using this program if you have multiple units.

Cons

I have not had any problems or issues with this program. If I could wish for anything I would ask that they integrate with other smart lock systems. I use Wyze locks which are reasonably priced and have worked very well for me. If they could add that integration I would be overjoyed.

I now have more time to do other things thanks to Your Porter App. I no longer need to write out a message for every single guest and remember to send them and I don't have to organize cleaning staff because YourPorter App does all of that for me. Using YourPorter App has given me the freedom to be able to leave town and still run my business efficiently and effectively. I highly recommend it.

Pros

YourPorter App does everything I need it to do and then some. I originally signed up because it would push my AirBnB rates to Booking.com automatically and that was all I was going to use it for. However, the auto-messaging system has proven invaluable. I can tailor messages and have them sent at specific times and on specific days. This feature is incredibly useful because I can send my lock box code at a specific time, thereby preventing guests from unexpectedly showing up and trying to check in early. I can also schedule all commonly sent emails, such as thanking them for booking, sending directions to our place, a message the next day asking if they settled in Ok and if they need anything. Guests love that I check in with them and I never forget to do so, thanks to YourPorter App. With the teammates feature, you can add teammates and assign them tasks such as cleaning, and is such a valuable portion of the software that I could not do without it. I can organize all my cleaning staff and have them clean when they need to and I never need to remind them because YourPorter App automatically does that for me. It can also let them know when we have check-ins and for how many guests so they can set up the continental breakfasts for them. The income report is also a great addition. There are so many features that I am still discovering all of them and how to implement them to my best advantage.

Cons

A written FAQ would be good. However, the support staff are very quick to answer when you have a question.

Definitely an easy path for a new property management company or individual. If you work with a few houses, it´s the best choice in the market. I have had around 30/40 Demos within the channel manager/PMS sector and can tell you that this is the best price quality in the market.

Pros

This Channel Manager is by far the easiest we have had so far on our company. It has all the functionalities you need and very user friendly. There is only customer support via e-mail, but they normally reply within the first 24 hours.

Cons

The reason why we are thinking of changing the software is due to the automatic email/messaging. If you have direct bookings or bookings from agencies that are not connected to the channel, you will need to send messages manually. This is ok when you have a few houses, but when you grow your business, you want to optimize the operation as best as you can.

Great experience so far, we only have one vacation rental so this review is for Guesty for Hosts. We are acquiring more vacation rentals and will soon upgrade to the Guesty pros platform.

Pros

Very easy to set up and use. You HAVE to have your Airbnb account 100% set up before you open your account in Guesty as that is the only way it moves forward with this in place as it copies all the information over for your convenience and hence you don't have to input the same information twice.Easy centralized messaging with guests. The calendar can sync with various price management tools like pricelabs.

Cons

I'd like to see the ability to create the calendar, search and payment widgets from the website menu to copy and add to your own website instead of having to embed the whole site into ours.Paypal integration would be fantastic as well.

Nothing to be honest. Poor support and calendar combination

Cons

Very unreliable, double bookings off an on but in the last week we had 4 double bookings. This added so much work to us and trying to iron out the issues with upset guests. No response from support for days of reaching out. When we canceled our subscription , low a behold… constant contact. Cost us time, money and host ratings

Pros

We love how its synchronized all our listings and made it easy for us to get reservations across platforms.

Cons

Sometimes the messaging might not sync a massage or sometimes it doesn't load the calendar or message center on mobile.

### "was a good product until was bought out by guesty"

so i was with guesty for host( former yourporter) for over 5 years, until a year ago all was well, everything was working really good, and was very happy. 1 year ago it was bought out by guesty for hosts and since then everything just went downhill. Glitch after glitch, all of a sudden, overbookings, bookings from bookings.com weren't coming, parts of the calendar where blocked for some reason, and the website stopped working. Now i understand things can happen but when i wrote to there customer service, they barely respond and when they did they where very nice but barely took care of any of the issues, and when they did it took weeks or even month to fix. They left me very frustrated, real shame, needless to say I left guesty for host for another service provider.

Pros

its price was very low compared to other competitors and its app was good too.

Cons

The glitches and bugs, and kept on getting worse, in additional their customer service.

### "Great for Certain Functions"

It's good, not great! Not bad enough to switch.

Pros

Ease of calendar and monthly invoices, I like that it integrates with Turno and door locks. Auto messaging Works great with AirBnb amd Booking.

Cons

Functionality and Messaging on VRBO is horrible. It messed up my listings 3x and said I had way more beds (like 16 or 18 per property, when it only has 3-4, and said it only had 1 bathroom instead of 2-3). Customer service is a joke. Sometimes takes days to get a response. No live chat or calling features. Most of the time the first and usually second reply don't even answer/understand my question and then its a back and forth. It took so long to set up, as does any channel manager, so I'm dealing with it instead of swtiching.

### "Guesty for Hosts"

I have been using Guesty for Hosts for over a year now and it has been a great experience! The system is very user friendly and customer service is exceptional! It does everything I need from automatic templates/messages, lock integration, and syncing calendar between different platforms.

Pros

Integration with Airbnb and VRBO is very easy. What I like most about Guesty for Hosts is the synchronization to one calendar and the automatic messaging which saves me a lot of time.

Cons

One feature that can be improved in the syncing between VRBO and Guesty for Hosts. It takes around 5-15 minutes to sync to Guesty for Hosts and block out the day on Airbnb.

### "Guesty for Host - Past User's Input"

It was a great PMS software to start with but needed more user friendly functionality with the owner statements, UX and better customer service when there are issues with the software.

Pros

Guesty for Hosts was a great way to get started with a few properties under management. The onboarding was a nice and easy process.

Cons

Guesty for Host has limitations once you reach 4 plus properties. I was having trouble integrating more due to limited features like the owner statements and the UX is very dated. It also took 7 plus days for IT tickets to be addresses. No one to call only an email for support.

Reason for choosing Guesty Lite

I was new in PMS software and Guesty for Hosts was one of the top rated at the time.
