Pros: Azure has more complete regulatory compliance coverage, inserts security, privacy and compliance into its development methodology and has been recognized as the most reliable cloud, it also provides the best intellectual property protection, allowing it to focus on the innovation.

Cons: I do not have any negative experience with the use of this software, the truth is that it is a fairly complete and easy to use program. No further comments.

Overall: Since the technology can fail, Windows offers with the Azure a way to protect the important information with an automatic backup within a storage service. These backups are out of site, far from your data center, which reduces the need to secure and protect backup media in place. Totally beneficial for your daily use.

Pros: The variety of configurations that can be created on virtual machines, as well as the ease of being able to upload the machine to another with better specifications when required. If the virtual machine is not in use it can be turned off which avoids incurring the expenses for having the machine turned on and idle.
Microsoft azure is one of the most complete services, according to the need it requires, it can be quickly apportioned from virtual machines, machines for big data, publication of web services, publication of web pages, databases, backup, etc.

Cons: Virtual machines, such as linux type, can be used to create a script in a more automatic way, but to do so it requires documentation, because it requires knowing the appropriate commands for it.

Overall: Rapid provision of virtual machines, which do not need to perform any type of hardware upgrade, the ability to turn them off when they are not used for any reason allows to reduce costs.

It was easy to integrate with other Microsoft Products.

Pros: Your backups are kept off-site, so even disaster in your datacenter area will not affect your backup storage and you will be able to restore when it will be needed.

Cons: If you are migrating to on-premise location it will consume outgoing traffic from Azure, and for migration to Azure you`d better use Site Recovery instead of Backup.

Overall: Azure Backup allows you to have modern approach for backing up your on-premise infrastructure.

Pros: Enables you to create enterprise class infrastructure and application (web and mobile) deployments in the cloud within minutes. The ability to create templates for deploying different services, combined with the flexibility of using powershell and the Azure CLI makes continuous integration easier.

Cons: It is lacking as an enterprise solution. Functionality Limitations exist in key areas such as single file restore. Limitations exist in the product architecture that increases costs and administration complexity when used in a hybrid on-premise / cloud environment.

Pros: Microsoft Azure cloud offers high availability and redundancy in data centers on a global scale. Because of this, Azure can offer a service level agreement, or SLA, of 99.95% (approximately 4.38 hours of downtime per year), something that most businesses cannot achieve.

Cons: Requires Management, as with anything, there are a couple of potential cons with Microsoft Azure. Unlike SaaS platforms where the end-user is consuming information (for example, Office 365), IaaS (Azure) moves your business compute power from your data center or office to the cloud.

Cons: Since there are so many models and functions on Azure. Sometimes it makes the structure of my AI agent confusing for me because integrating so many Azure services together in my AI agent. It will be good if Azure provides a structural analysis tool for users.

Pros: We have recently purchased Azure for test bed server and thus far we are liking what we see. It allows us to spin up a server anytime we need for as long as we need. Azure also gives you the ability to change the configuration at will and the downtime is minimal. Since we have only been using Azure for a couple months I am only able to provide this little bit of info. I for see us using Azure for everything soon.

Cons: Price is high for sure, I think that would be the only con my current company would have since they are fronting the bill. I personally do not have any cons at this time since I have only been using them for a couple of months.

Pros: Azure is a great option when it comes to cloud based computing. We've run a few servers off of Azure and response is fast and it's nice not having to manage the hardware that comes with having onsite servers.

Cons: The cost is a bit high, but when it comes to this stuff, you get what you pay for. Performance can vary depending on your own connection speed and quality. Some powershell knowledge is required so that could be a barrier for some folks.

Pros: There was a nice communal location to get all our the users code up in the cloud and then eventually have the lead installer/coder push forward the designs and have a cohesive thought put together. The thing I liked about Azure was the ability to see in real time what was being uploaded and modified to not step on overs toes. Though our business is quite small it worked great. I am unsure how big business would handle such a design implementation but in thoery it should work the same way.

Cons: I really don't have any Cons I can think of, not meaning that none exist. My role in the Azure development was strictly uploading and downloading from it therefore, it was easy to use. I'm sure that the installer/lead coder would have some pitfalls they have come across.

Pros: This is a decent cloud offering with mostly anything you need available to you at a competitive price point. Most VM¿s can me created and destroyed quickly and they are built to Microsoft workflows so importing from your on premises environment is easily done.

Cons: It lacks a lot of the SRE hooks like GoLang that Google does. Support directly from Microsoft is always something that has left me wanting. They will give you a lot of free resources but you are mostly on your own to determine how to use them. They also seem to drive you towards importing your badly designed processes from on-prem to the cloud, largely negating the main benefits of a cloud first environment.

Pros: In this day and age people have extremely valuable information they can't afford to lose on their devices and Azure provides the sense of security one needs. It's in a remote cloud,so that is one extra step towards reliability .

Cons: The pricing is in a pay as you go principle and can become substantial if you need a lot of data stored. There is also a learning curve ,before you can use the program's full capabilities .

Overall: Knowing that something getting deleted or lost on my PC isn't fatal .

Pros: The fact that the hardware is fully maintained by outside persons, and is easy to access from anywhere, not a lame SaaS environment. I especially like the ability to custom develop apps in the Azure toolset. I used it currently for Dynamics NAV 365.

Pros: The services provided by Azure simplify the development of a company's infrastructure, offering the security required for data protection, providing fast and flexible management in software development or applications, reducing costs and time in your company.

Cons: It depends completely on the provider and the good use of its infrastructures, as well as its backup and update policies, if the internet access is cut, we are left without the service! This is a clear disadvantage.

Pros: I work for a company that supports thousands of users across the US, Mexico and Canada. Having a good backup solution isn't just needed - it's a necessity. Microsoft has shown that they can create a competent product - although it can have a bit of a learning curve. Luckily, the product is backed by Microsoft's excellent support staff!

Cons: Azure suffers mainly from it's complexity - which is actually a double edge sword. In the world of backups you need a complex program, but sometimes if it goes too far it can actually be too much for the user. With a little more polish, I believe this could easily be 5/5.

Pros: Azure has all the services I need, it's probably one of the most flexible platforms available today. Create a VM is very easy, Azure has many options just by clicking on Compute you can choose between Windows Server, Ubuntu Server, SUSE, Tabeau Server, SQL Server and many others. Then you just have to choose the model and configure the features, many already have a default configuration. Then you have your virtual machine, excellent and easy! ... Creating a WordPress Server is very easy too, just a couple of configurations and go! This is the best!

Cons: The price for the service is a bit confusing. Sometimes it seems that the names change, this is a problem.

Overall: It is a great advantage to be able to implement any Software Development without investing a lot of money in equipment that will become obsolete. Also, saving time is the best, you can have an infraesture in a very short time!

Pros: There are tons of features available for hosting websites, web applications, APIs, etc. If you are hosting a .NET application, you can take advantage of their App Services option to abstract away the work involved with managing a virtual machine. But if you need a VM you can have one of those as well. I also enjoy the ability to easily view the metrics of your application/site, and instantly scale resources as required. Some of the higher-scale packages even offer the ability to have the load balancing and resource allocation done automatically.

Cons: Azure is expensive. You get a good bit for your money but boy do you pay for it. Scaling up into higher resource levels often involves doubling or tripling your monthly costs, even if you're not getting a corresponding percentage increase in your performance. Also, and maybe this is just a web apps thing, but there's not a dedicated IP filtering option built in for the web apps. You need to purchase an additional package or manage all of that through your site's web.config. That's a little annoying.

Pros: The new Azure system is out of this world. Normally with data and cloud-based tech, there is a steep learning curve. There are some impressive backup solutions out there, I'm talking about products born in virtualization ... and not those designed for tape backup 20 years ago that some of you buy because that's what they've always bought. Some of the excellent products are even advertised on this site. They have their own unique approaches and points of sale, which I should applaud, and I encourage you to visit their sites and try their free trial versions. Then you have options, and that's a very good thing.

We use a lot of DPM and store our long term in Azure, as described by Aiden. I want to share some important obstacles that we have come across so you can benefit from our experiences.
1) We had a DPM protection group with 76 protected Hyper-V virtual machines. This protection group was programmed to send recovery points to Azure all at once. 76 was too much and the OBEngine.exe service (Microsoft Azure Recovery Services Agent) was blocked every night, so I had to restart the OBEngine service and manually restart these online backups every day. By splitting the protection group into several smaller protection groups (each protecting about 20 Hyper-V servers instead of 76) and scheduling them to send recovery points to Azure at different times of the night, the problem was solved. I do not think this is a bandwidth problem (since we have a lot) but that the OBEngine service was being overwhelmed. The errors I found in DPM every morning clearly indicated that the OBEngine

Cons: It lacks options for life cycle management.
- Some of the functions only work in the classic portal.

The reliability of the services depends on the technological and financial capacity of the providers of services in the cloud. The information of the company must go through different nodes to reach its destination, each of them (and its channels) are a source of insecurity. The centralization of the applications and the storage of the data originates an interdependence of the service providers.

It is useful if you are not familiar with Azure to take an online training course that will definitely take you a long way to master it and increase your confidence in the product. It tends to use resources and when the VM goes down it is slow and freezes.

the dashboard design is confusing AF, it is difficult to find things. You pay the support, or send them a tweet and cross your fingers. Billing is confusing, especially at the beginning, and it is impossible to estimate costs without seeing the use of an entire application / site.

Cons: The costs can be quite high if a company must significantly up the use of Azure servers.
Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) is essentially remotely accessing azure servers and hardware.
Azure requires expertise to ensure all moving parts work together efficiently.

Only its high cost and widely appealing execution kept it out of winning

Pros: It has a small footprint and it's one of those things that you can set and forget unlike other backup services that are in your face all the time.

Cons: The initial setup is a bit of a pain and you have no one to talk to unless you pay big bucks but I guess that's expected of an enterprise class product.

Overall: Saved me big time from a ransomware attack!

Pros: The cloud platform Azure Microsoft is growing very fast and evolving. It allows you to easily and securely store work and personal data. The pricing policy is flexible, as many packages are available for selection.

Cons: Some options function exclusively on the classic portal. Technical support is not fast, but fortunately there are competent users on the forums.

Pros: Great tool for learning a coding language (jupyter notebooks specifically). I use it when taking a Microsoft course online. It is also useful for testing code before applying it within a working environment too.

Cons: It sometimes stops working unexpectedly. I have to restart the kernel and then it will function again as normal.

Overall: I use the free features and they are great.

Pros: As a tester and release manager, I've most enjoyed the ability to quickly get the release I want to the environment I want. Linking the bugs to the commits and builds has saved a ton of time.

Cons: We are only using it on one project and it took a bit to figure out how we wanted to setup the builds and releases.

Pros: Azure is relatively easy to use and allows you to select exactly which files and folders you want to back up and save on the cloud.

Cons: I think the cost is a little too high for what this product offers. I have seen other backup programs that are cheaper and provide unlimited storage.

Pros: This product is realitively cheap, you just pay for the storage you use, and allows you to get your data backed up to the cloud. Plus, it's Microsoft, so you know it's going to be around for the long haul. It works very similar to the built in Windows backup, so the on-site interface is familiar.

Cons: There is a definite learning curve and I feel this is more complex to setup then it needs to be. There are a log of choices in the Azure cloud so it's bit daunting.

Pros: Azure Backup is a really easy to use, simple interface free bit of software. You just pay for the storage you consume. We use it to backup a 1.5TB file server to Azure and it works really well with great recovery speed and options

Cons: It would be nice if it had more automated reporting when things go wrong but still much easier than most paid for backup solutions

Pros: the things that I like the most are: Backup and Storage in the cloud, hosting in virtualized spaces, cost reduction, operational use. Open and flexible

Cons: The reliability of the services depends on the technological and financial capacity of the providers of cloud services. The information of the company must go through different nodes to reach their destination, each of them (and its channels) are a source of insecurity, The centralization of the applications and the storage of the data originates an interdependence of the service providers.

Pros: It works well, fairly simple setup to input exactly what information you need backed up and uploaded to the cloud. Pretty much your run-of-the-mill backup software.

Cons: It would be great if the pricing was a little bit cheaper for storage. I've found a couple of other software products that allow unlimited data storage for less.

Pros: Microsoft has a solid, reliable and well supported cloud environment that we've been using internally for years. Azure has been a part of what we do for as long as I've been at the company. The price is somewhat okay and the training materials are accessible enough.

It's nice to enter the studio to your customized taste and continue to tweak it for maximum efficiency. Database creation/management is where this really shines.

Cons: Pricing isn't the most competitive but we're lucky to be able to ignore that for the most part. Actual support isn't the best but the community does a good job supporting itself.

Overall: Azure's Machine Learning Studio is a welcome addition to the world of emerging technologies. As a research and development firm we have to experiment of these applications. Azure is a respected product and their foray into machine learning is a welcome one.

Pros: It's design reminds me of OneDrive or any other simple cloud based storage system. It does what you need it to.

Cons: Since it's simple, it may not have the customization you're looking for. We ended up not purchasing this service, but I feel like it would meet the needs we have it we decided to.

Pros: The machine learning models that they provide really work well.

It is very easy to set up an account and access the possibilities,

There are some services that the first usages are free, so you don't chew up money while learning the basics

Very fast.

Very detailed and clear billing.

Allows you to run problems that require very large computer capacity without having to buy very expensive hardware. You pay just for what you use at reasonable rates.

Very good overall web descriptions of the capabilities (especially when compared to Amazon, the largest of the providers of this class of software)

Cons: Few models. There are many machine learning models. Azure, Amazon and each of the companies that make offerings only pick a few to provide. Therefore, you can only use for a problem which matches one of their models, or find a way to twist your problem to fit one of the models provided. At this time, this sees to be true of Azure and the others offering cloud-based machine learning.

The level of support that Microsoft provides is much less than what they provide to Windows and Office

The Sales people know little other than their talking points to advise whether Azure, in it's present state of development, can solve your problem. Moreover, Azure is growing so fast that they cannot hire & train sales people fast enough.

It is difficult to estimate the cost of a particular machine learning operation in advance, and whereas Azure is very transparent with the unit prices, it is very hard to estimate how many of the different price element units you will need to run a problem. There is little or no help available now. Only Amazon does better in this area, and Azure is itself not strong here, but is better than all the other non Amazon competitors.

While value for the money is terrific & ML is becoming affordable for almost all of us, Azure still seems to be a little more costly than AMS

Pros: We use Azure mainly to supplement on-premises servers. Obviously, the platform is geared towards Windows, but Linux is pretty well supported. We found the administration a bit easier than what we've seen with AWS. Pricing is also more affordable.

Cons: Administration, while being fairly easy, often involved knowing exactly where you need to go in the web ui. Support is pretty much a gamble at best. We've often found answers online before tech support even got back in touch with us.
