ABS had all those capabilities from protecting single file and folder to recover whole machine. Pros Ability to set up cloud native backup without having to manage and deploy underlying infrastructure is great for companies. On top it is highly scalable as the azure workloads grows we don't have to increase compute in the backend. Cons Azure Backup comes in multiple flavors. Though it is great for protecting azure native IaaS but when it comes to protecting on prem servers it has limitation in terms of applications and operating supported. I also found restoration is much easier and simple when comparing with any other cloud provider. Cons There are few features like continues replication, Migration of backup from one location to another location. I also found reporting service is little complicated when there is a need of backup report. The setup was easy and team was able to configure things like backup policies easily. Pros I love the interfaces and the navigations because users can easily to their tasks. We can configure backup policies such as the period that we need to retain the backups and the security settings such as encryption for backups. Also when we need to recover the backup data, we can easily do them according to our backup policies. Cons For startups this is very expensive because the cost depends on the period that we set our data to backup. Cons i feel sometimes the backup documentation and the support resources become too much overwhelming which slows my workflow in finding the information and the data i need to configure and manage.
