ManageEngine Endpoint Central

## What is ManageEngine Endpoint Central?

Endpoint Central is a unified endpoint management and security platform built for IT teams managing devices across multiple operating systems and locations. It consolidates the functions needed to handle the full device lifecycle from a single console across Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, and Chrome OS. Patch deployment is automated across operating systems and 1000+ third-party applications. IT teams define deployment policies, test patches before rollout, schedule updates within approved maintenance windows, and monitor compliance across the device fleet. This reduces manual effort and shortens the time between vulnerability disclosure and remediation. Built-in remote desktop tools allow technicians to connect to endpoints instantly without third-party software. IT staff diagnose issues, transfer files, and resolve problems in real time, supporting faster resolution for distributed and remote workforces.

Our overall experience with ManageEngine Endpoint Central has been excellent. The platform has become a key part of our IT operations by providing centralized management for patching, software deployment, endpoint security, device management, and inventory tracking. It has helped us automate many routine administrative tasks, improve endpoint visibility, and maintain consistency across our environment. The interface is user-friendly for day-to-day administration, while still offering the advanced features needed to manage a large number of endpoints. We've also had positive experiences with ManageEngine's support team when assistance was needed. Overall, Endpoint Central has delivered significant value by improving efficiency, strengthening security, and reducing the time required to manage our endpoint infrastructure

Pros

What I like most about ManageEngine Endpoint Central is that it provides a wide range of endpoint management capabilities in a single platform. We use it for patch management, software deployment, device management, application control, inventory tracking, and endpoint security, which allows our team to manage a large environment efficiently from one console. The patch management and software deployment features have significantly reduced manual effort, while the device management and configuration tools help us maintain consistency across our endpoints. The product offers strong value for the cost, and the support team has been responsive and helpful whenever we've needed assistance. Overall, Endpoint Central has helped us improve security, streamline day-to-day administration, and save time for our IT staff

Cons

While Endpoint Central is packed with features, some areas of the interface can take time to learn, especially for new administrators. Because the platform covers so many functions, it can occasionally be difficult to locate specific settings or reports without prior experience. We've also run into situations where troubleshooting certain software deployment or configuration issues required assistance from support. That said, the support team has generally been responsive and helpful, and the benefits of the platform far outweigh these minor challenges

My overall experience has been positive so far. I have only been using Endpoint Central for a short time, but it has helped simplify patch management and software deployment. The interface is easy enough to navigate for basic tasks, and I expect to get more value from it as I become more familiar with its advanced capabilities.

Pros

I like that it makes it easy to deploy patches and software to all the computers in the domain from one central console. Even as a new user, the basic features are straightforward and save a lot of time.

Cons

Since I am still learning the product, some advanced settings and policies can be confusing at first. It takes some time to understand all the available features and configuration options.

Overall I have a positive experience and enjoy the product. The vast features make it very versatile and useful on a day to day basis. It would be great to have some sort of documentation feature that I could tie to different sites or machines. Like in Ninja where you can also tie passwords and assets to machines.

Pros

I like the ease of use and many different features bundled into one product. Customer support was great the times we have reached out!

Cons

Some features feel outdated. They are catching up with Cloud things but I would like to see the OS deployment option more fleshed out. Sometimes remote control could work better too.

My overall experience with ManageEngine Endpoint Central has been excellent. The platform is reliable, easy to use, and provides comprehensive endpoint management features that simplify IT administration. It has helped streamline device management, software deployment, patch management, and remote troubleshooting. Combined with its responsive support and regular feature updates, it has been a valuable solution for efficiently managing endpoints across the organization.

Pros

What I liked most about ManageEngine Endpoint Central was its support. The support team was responsive, knowledgeable, and quick to resolve issues whenever assistance was needed. They provided clear guidance during troubleshooting, shared relevant documentation, and followed up to ensure problems were fully resolved. Their professionalism and timely responses minimized downtime and made it easier to manage endpoints efficiently. Overall, the quality of customer support significantly improved the overall experience of using the product.

Cons

One area that could be improved is the ticket resolution time. While the support team is generally helpful and knowledgeable, some issues take longer than expected to resolve, especially more complex cases. Faster resolution times and more proactive updates during the troubleshooting process would further enhance the overall support experience.

I have had an overall good experience with the product and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to have more control over their IT infrastructure.

Pros

Endpoint Central offers a wide variety of tools and features that help me support the devices in my environment, including automated patch deployments and remote device management, to name a few. Additionally, the customer support has been a big help any time I have problems.

Cons

While there are few things to complain about when it comes to the product one thing that hurts the product is the delay between when Microsoft releases OS patches and when Endpoint Central adds them to the database.

My overall experience with ManageEngine Endpoint Central has been positive. It has proven to be a reliable and comprehensive endpoint management solution, helping us streamline device administration, software deployment, patch management, and security enforcement from a centralized console. The platform offers a wide range of features that make it easier to manage and secure endpoints across the organization while reducing the amount of manual work required from IT teams. The automated patch management and remote troubleshooting capabilities have been particularly valuable, enabling us to maintain device compliance and quickly resolve issues when they arise. The user interface is generally intuitive, and the solution provides good value for money.

Pros

It provides a centralized console for managing desktops, laptops, servers, and mobile devices, making administration much more efficient. The automated patch deployment feature helps keep systems secure and up to date with minimal manual effort. I also appreciate its ease of use, as common administrative tasks such as software deployment, asset management, remote troubleshooting, and policy enforcement can be performed from a single interface. The platform offers strong device management features, including remote control, device inventory, and endpoint security management. Another key advantage is its value for money. Compared to many competing endpoint management solutions, Endpoint Central delivers a broad range of features without requiring multiple separate products. The reporting and automation capabilities help reduce administrative overhead and improve operational efficiency. Overall, Endpoint Central is a reliable and feature-rich solution that simplifies endpoint management while enhancing security and compliance across the organization.

Cons

One area for improvement is the customer support experience. When a support case is transferred between team members, it can be frustrating to repeatedly explain the same issue to each new representative. Better case handover and internal knowledge sharing between support staff would help reduce delays and make issue resolution more efficient. Additionally, some complex troubleshooting cases can take longer than expected to resolve.
