Pricing RatingN/A

Value For Money[4.5(1564)](https://www.capterra.com/p/170018/ManageEngine-Desktop-Central/reviews/)

Pros

- For the price point, it offers some of the best value for money in the UEM space, especially for mid-to-large sized enterprises.

- Value for money Endpoint Detection and Responding device with interactive UI and easy to use also have feature of deployment immdi

- Overall, Endpoint Central provides a lot of value because it saves money by eliminating the need to purchase separate tools.

- ManageEngine Endpoint Central offers excellent value for money, providing a wide range of endpoint management features at a competitive price.

Cons

- The interface can also feel overwhelming with too many tabs and settings, reporting customization is somewhat limited, and occasional agent or deployment issues need manual troubleshooting or support.

- This delay can affect real-time updates, patch deployments, and remote troubleshooting sessions, especially when devices are outside the corporate network or connected through slower internet connections.

- It feels unpolished and sometimes the terminology and features don't align with the functionality they provide; eg interfaces can feel a bit basic; the functionality you might get to align with accreditation and audits might differ in terminology so it can be less intuitive when completing RFPs etc.

- This makes it difficult to automate policy deployments that need to follow a fluid AD structure, often requiring manual workarounds or separate scripts to ensure the right users are targeted as they move between departments.

"ManageEngine Endpoint Central Review: Solid All-in-One Endpoint Management at a Reasonable Price"

**Overall:** Overall, Endpoint Central remains a solid, cost-effective choice for centralized endpoint management if you can work around the occasional module integration quirks.

**Pros:** We have been using ManageEngine Endpoint Central for a couple of years now, and it serves as a powerful central platform to manage all our endpoint needs — from Windows, macOS, and Linux desktops to mobile devices — with straightforward deployment, automated patching, software distribution, and comprehensive endpoint management. It offers easy zero-touch enrollment, flexible device configuration, and seamless integration with multiple third-party tools, making it highly efficient for our IT team. Best of all, it delivers enterprise-grade features at a significantly more reasonable price compared to competitors like Microsoft Intune or Ivanti, providing excellent value for money without compromising on functionality.

**Cons:** On the downside, not all modules tie in with one another as smoothly as expected, and some workflows feel disconnected or require extra steps that don’t always make logical sense. The interface can also feel overwhelming with too many tabs and settings, reporting customization is somewhat limited, and occasional agent or deployment issues need manual troubleshooting or support.

**Switched From:** [System Center](https://www.capterra.com/p/70929/System-Center/)

**Reasons for Switching to ManageEngine Endpoint Central:** We switched from Microsoft SCCM to ManageEngine Endpoint Central primarily due to much better pricing and the broader range of features it offers in a single unified console. SCCM was becoming expensive and limited in scope, while Endpoint Central provides stronger third-party patching, easier software deployment, and more comprehensive endpoint management capabilities at a significantly lower cost.

"Comprehensive Unified Endpoint Management with a Great ROI"

**Overall:** Our overall experience has been very positive. We transitioned from using multiple disconnected tools to managing everything—servers, laptops, and mobile devices—through Endpoint Central. It has significantly improved our security posture by ensuring all endpoints are patched and compliant. For the price point, it offers some of the best value for money in the UEM space, especially for mid-to-large sized enterprises.

**Pros:** The sheer breadth of features available in a single console is impressive. The automated patch management for both Windows and third-party applications has saved our IT team dozens of hours a month. I also find the remote control and software deployment tools to be very reliable. The reporting module is robust enough to satisfy our compliance audits without extra manual work.

**Cons:** The user interface can feel a bit dated and cluttered at times; there is definitely a learning curve for new technicians to find specific settings within the deeply nested menus.

**Alternatives Considered:** [NinjaOne](https://www.capterra.com/p/184229/NinjaOne/)

**Reasons for Choosing ManageEngine Endpoint Central:** While NinjaOne has a very modern interface, we found that ManageEngine Endpoint Central offered a more comprehensive set of 'all-in-one' features for the price. Specifically, the deep Active Directory integration and the ability to handle complex software deployment packages felt more mature in Endpoint Central. Additionally, NinjaOne's pricing model was higher for our specific endpoint count, and we preferred ManageEngine’s perpetual licensing and on-premises deployment options which fit our internal security requirements better.

**Switched From:** [PDQ Deploy & Inventory](https://www.capterra.com/p/174535/PDQ-Deploy/)

**Reasons for Switching to ManageEngine Endpoint Central:** PDQ Deploy is excellent for simple software pushes on a local network, but we outgrew it as our workforce became more mobile. We needed a 'Single Pane of Glass' that included built-in Remote Control, Patch Management for remote users without a VPN. Switching to Endpoint Central allowed us to replace PDQ and several other standalone tools with one unified agent, significantly reducing our licensing costs and administrative overhead.
