That is a good product, easy enough to use to use it when it is configure. Configuration as I mentioned can be tricky as settings are not always easy to find.

Pros

It includes lots of feature on the same portal. You can do security feature, as OS deployment, Patch deployment and software deployment.

Cons

sometime hard to find the correct screen or find where the specific settings are. Like for example the domain sync button, was in the custom group before now it is only in the agent. tab.

[SolarWinds Network Configuration Manager](https://www.capterra.com/p/216635/SolarWinds-Network-Configuration-Monitor/)

SCCM or MECM was not in the listed but we didn't use SolarWinds but SCCM. The infra we were integrating already had an SCCM deploy in the domain for end user device management. We need to deploy a different solution for managing patching on servers

My overall experience with ManageEngine Endpoint Central has been very positive. It is a robust and comprehensive endpoint management solution that helps streamline day-to-day IT operations. The platform provides centralized control over devices, making it easier to manage patching, software deployment, asset tracking, and security policies across the organization. One of the key strengths of Endpoint Central is its automation capability, which significantly reduces manual effort and improves efficiency. The patch management feature ensures systems are up to date, while remote troubleshooting tools help resolve user issues quickly. Additionally, the reporting and monitoring features provide good visibility into endpoint activities, which helps in faster issue identification and resolution. It has been particularly useful in managing large-scale environments and maintaining compliance with security policies. However, there are areas for improvement, such as the user interface, which can be complex for new users, and occasional performance delays during heavy operations or report generation. Overall, Endpoint Central is a reliable and effective tool that enhances endpoint management, improves security posture, and supports smooth IT operations.

Pros

With Endpoint Central, we are able to automate routine administrative tasks such as software deployment, patch updates, and asset management, which helps in improving overall productivity and reducing downtime. A best customer support with a single chat window.

Cons

One downside of ManageEngine Endpoint Central is that the user interface can sometimes feel complex and less intuitive, especially for new users. Navigating through multiple modules and configurations may require additional time and familiarity.

My overall experience with ManageEngine Endpoint Central is outstanding. It provides a comprehensive set of endpoint management capabilities, including patch management, software deployment, remote troubleshooting, and asset management, all from a centralized console. The platform offers good value for money and helps reduce administrative effort. While the interface could be more modern and some advanced reporting requires additional configuration, the product is reliable, feature-rich, and well-suited for managing medium to large endpoint environments.

Pros

Patch management for Windows, macOS, and Linux Software deployment MDM Remote troubleshooting and control Asset inventory Endpoint security features Mobile device management (MDM)

Cons

My overall experience has been very positive, with a high impact on our IT operations. The Device Management capabilities provide excellent centralized visibility of the entire fleet. This continuous monitoring greatly facilitates daily troubleshooting, especially when diagnosing performance bottlenecks or OS anomalies, such as account lockouts. Despite the initial friction with custom script automation and the times when Customer Support could be faster, the benefits delivered in standardization, vulnerability management, and daily support more than make up for the effort.

Pros

What I like most about Endpoint Central is its overall Ease of Use regarding native features and its ability to consolidate various tools into a single platform. The Enrollment process is incredibly straightforward; installing the agent is frictionless, allowing new machines to join the management console and receive security policies almost immediately. Additionally, the native configuration modules are exceptional for day-to-day tasks—it is highly practical to standardize workstations and deploy administrative tools like RSAT/ADUC silently without UAC prompts or compromising the principle of least privilege. Patch management is another major strength, offering the granularity needed to keep the environment aligned with strict security frameworks.

Cons

The main drawback involves the limitations encountered when stepping outside the native options, which impacts the Ease of Use for advanced administrative tasks. When performing customized deployments using PowerShell scripts, the platform imposes restrictions that require significant time and testing to bypass. Furthermore, Customer Support is often not as agile as needed for these complex integrations and highly specific scenarios. This frequently requires you to dive into community forums or technical documentation for workarounds instead of relying on rapid official resolutions.

Switched from

[Qualys Cloud Platform](https://www.capterra.com/p/82971/QualysGuard-Enterprise/)

We switched from Qualys. While Qualys is an excellent platform for vulnerability scanning and visibility, we needed a more unified approach to both identify and remediate issues within a single console. We made the switch to ManageEngine Endpoint Central to consolidate vulnerability management with automated patch management, device configuration, and software deployment. This consolidation drastically reduces our response time and makes it much easier to continuously align our environment with strict security frameworks like CIS Controls, NIST, and ISO 27001, allowing us to go straight from auditing to remediation without jumping between different platforms.

My overall experience with ManageEngine Endpoint Central has been excellent. The platform provides a comprehensive set of endpoint management tools that help streamline IT operations and improve efficiency.

Pros

What I liked most about ManageEngine Endpoint Central is its centralized management capability, which allows us to efficiently manage endpoints from a single console. The platform provides comprehensive features including remote troubleshooting, patch management, software deployment, asset management, and endpoint monitoring. Its user-friendly interface, cloud-based accessibility, and automation capabilities help reduce administrative workload and improve overall IT operations. The remote control and endpoint management features are particularly valuable for supporting users across different locations and maintaining device compliance.

Cons

One area that could be improved is macOS support. While Endpoint Central performs very well in Windows environments, we have experienced some issues with Mac devices, particularly after agent upgrades. In some cases, remote control functionality stops working properly and requires additional troubleshooting or reconfiguration. Overall, the platform is very reliable for Windows endpoint management, but the macOS experience could be more consistent and stable.

Excellent for patching and management. Highly recommended to companies with huge Infra. It provides a centralized platform that makes managing endpoints across different locations much simpler. The automation features save time, and the security controls give confidence that systems are protected.

Pros

It is easy to use because it brings everything together in one place. It helps automate tasks like patching and software updates, which saves time. I also like that it has strong security features to keep systems safe.

Cons

The UI seems to be more complex rather than user friendly. Prohibited Software requires switches which has limitation.
