Have been using this for about 8 years. The imaging capabilities are great. There are many modules and the software can be complex.

Pros

Ease of use and the intuitive interface. Everything is relatively easy to find with the tabs at the top.

Cons

Constant patch updates. Rather than multiple patch updates, would be better to have one larger update.

Stability is non-negotiable when it comes to endpoint management, and the Endpoint Central Agent delivers. It is a lightweight service that runs efficiently in the background, ensuring that it doesn't hog system resources while providing constant connectivity. The deployment process is rock-solid, and the error reporting is transparent, allowing for quick remediation when a configuration doesn't go as planned.

Pros

The core strength of the Endpoint Central agent is its ability to bridge the gap between IT admins and remote endpoints. Whether you are managing laptops, desktops, or servers, the remote control capabilities are fast, reliable, and secure. It removes the "guesswork" from troubleshooting, allowing our team to jump into a user’s machine instantly to resolve issues without needing the user to be physically present.

Cons

It is rare to review a piece of software and find absolutely nothing to complain about, but ManageEngine has managed to achieve a level of polish that leaves little room for criticism.

Overall I think it's a very capable software, it's extremely helpful in data collection, deployment, automation, remote assistance. It really is an all in one solution. You can get really granular and really creative with it.

Pros

I like the remote functionality of being anywhere in the world, and being able to manage my endpoints. I especially appreciate the time that was put into all the attributes that come with the tool out of the box. There's not as much customization needed as we with other Endpoint Management tools.

Cons

There's capabilities that should be there. That are not. Such as Public IPs. It exists in the device approval section, but's not in the rest of the environment. I think this could be helpful for use with default remote offices. I'm also patiently waiting for remote file browsing. I think it would also be great if there was a cloud based storage that you could move files on endpoints to for a central extraction zone.

Switched from

[Tanium](https://www.capterra.com/p/148334/Tanium-Endpoint-Platform/)

It has many limitations from remote functionality. Cloud management of devices is an afterthought of Tanium in my opinion.

Reasons for choosing ManageEngine Endpoint Central

It would have require far too much customization. The attributes exist in the powershell API. However, they are are not built out in the portal for whatever reason. We would have basically had to build their product for them.

I have been happy with the easy of use with this product, I like that it is intuitive and much easier to manage than some other products like SCCM.

Pros

Ease of patching, the portal is pretty intuitive and when not access to support is easy. Support is easy to work with.

Cons

Some systems/patches require hands on, but this is pretty typical of these products. Support is helpful though often times escalation is required.

I have had a great experience with ManageEngine Endpoint Central. This is the only MDM I have used in my short career, and I have enjoyed learning how to use the console.

Pros

I like using the Patch Management console. It is easy to use and search for unpatched systems. The Vulnerability dashboard is good to have as well.

Cons

There isn't much not to like. Seems like any problem I run into has to do with a configuration error on my end, and can be easily remedied through a support session or knowledge base.

Endpoint Central is a must for all organisations. The amount of time saved using this product for device management, wheather that be Smart devices or Client machines is fantastic.

Pros

Its friendly and easy to use GUI is a massive plus, allowing all levels of IT staff to compentantly get the most out of the product. We heavily use this for device management and couldn't be happier with the speed in which any config, patches, etc are rolled out, it really pays for itself. Customer support is another massive plus, very quick to respond via chat, and very knowledgable and helpful.

Cons

To be honest Endpoint Central ticks all the boxes for our use case so I don't have anything bad to say at this point.

My overall experience with ManageEngine Endpoint Central has been great. It’s a solid tool for managing and securing endpoints in a business environment. With excellent customer support and a range of features, it’s been a time-saving solution for me. However, it does require a bit of time during initial setup, but once it’s up and running, the tool offers a great deal of efficiency.

Pros

Easy-to-use interface Great customer support Efficient endpoint management and automation features Good value for money

Cons

Some advanced features could use a bit more explanation or better documentation. Initial setup could take a little longer than expected, especially for larger organizations.

How Capterra ensures transparency

Capterra lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. Capterra is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider's website.
