Pros: Being able to bill the customer right on the spot and collect the money is great. This keeps the cash flow going and we have less bad debt from customers that refuse to pay later. It is also nice that all bills are consistent, just in case neighbors would compare. I also like that it will prefill info from our QuickBooks database. Very easy to set up new customers and add or change information. It is nice it will show previous service call information on the form for easy reference.

Cons: Sometimes the program can run slow. This can cause our guys in the field to have to wait until the changes come through to their I pads.

Overall: I think it saves the company and makes the dreaded end of the month billing obsolete.

Excellent tool - allows me to give upfront pricing at no additional operating cost

Pros: It really is pay as you go - no upfront costs, it does exactly as it is promised. I like the fact that it really costs me nothing in terms of money, time and personnel.

Cons: The search engine is getting better but I would really like the ability to look jobs by model number of the unit

Pros: What I like most about this software is it's quick, accurate, and easy to use. For the most part the customers love it and the service technician enjoys it because it's so very easy to use.

Cons: What I don't like about this program is sometimes the customer gets confused on the charges and sometimes the keypad is hard to sign.

Pros: Ease of navigation. Their are lots of repair items to work with. The layout is very easy to use. Also it look very attractive in front of the customer

Cons: Finding specific parts or repairs, looking into customer history could be easier . It crashes often, which may be an iPod issue.

Coolfront has changed the way we perform service call for the better and with ease.

Pros: When looking at flat rate books vs coolfront's mobile software, it was clear coolfront was the way to go. The database is always updating with market fluctuations and with the ability to add custom items it is a great fit for us.

Cons: The new search engine is pretty rough and seems to be lacking compared to the previous version. The ability to add a custom discount to a ticket without having to add it to the whole system first would be great. And the ability to change the order of items on the ticket would be fantastic.

We happened oncookfront by accident.

Pros: It's nice to see where the techs are. It integrates with quickbooks and allows payment from Payzer.

Cons: It's sometimes complicated to set up special repairs. We have to make sure we do things in just the right order.

Overall: It integrates with quickbooks. It's easy to use. It's portable, all our techs have the app on their phones and tablets.

The Coolfront App AND Crew is, by far, the Very Best, Top Notch and Awesome I have ever experienced

Pros: The software is extremely thorough in all aspects! They are constantly adding more and more cool stuff to the app. Their Crew has by far THE BEST Customer Service that I have ever experienced, very knowledgeable, very experienced, very helpful.
If you are not using this App, then you are going backwards in time every day that you are in business! This App and this Company (Coolfront) is absolutely the best by far.

Overall: This company and it's products and services have made my life easier and my business WAY MORE PROFITABLE!!

Pros: That our techs have access to flat rate pricing and being it is web based have access on any tablet, laptop, desktop or phone if necessary

Cons: Invoices that are still open or pending drop off into archives. Would like to see the system only sense the paid invoices drop into archives automatically after the current time it does it and leave other not mark paid to be manually archived

Overall: Gives us the ability to be a more paperless company where the majority of our invoices get emailed verses printed and mailed out and as a result can get payment faster when customer is not home to make payment at time of service

It works well. I wish it was easier to search for customers & if they merged better.

Pros: I like the ease of entering the information. I like that you can email receipt to customer right away. I like how it can be an invoice or a receipt.

Cons: It's not easy to search for a customer unless you know the date of the last time you were there. That is my major disappointment with this program. Searching for customers & history & merging the calls together. I ALWAYS have to go to add on & Merge. I wish it was more automatic. I use wintac & it always pulls up correct customer just by entering a few letters or address. You dont' even need complete info. If Coolfront doesn't correct the merge/search soon I will have to switch to a different software/dispatching program.

Overall: emailing of invoices & receipts. Flat rate pricing.

The repair pricing seems to not take overhead in to consideration.

Pros: Coolfront is simple and paperless. All I have to do is look for an invoice by the choices given. Making it easy to stay organized without having to worry about losing paper work. I also love that you can use it off line.

Cons: The pricing on repairs. The repair pricing seems to not take overhead in to consideration. As flat rate pricing, they are low.

Overall: Staying organized and not having to deal with the mess of having papers everywhere.

Love it, very proffesional for customers to use, signing while not on sight is wonderful!

Pros: Customer glance back for 1 and the get savy to see performance , i cvan do invoices on the run much faster, no dirty finger printed invoices, easy flat rate to fit my company.

Cons: Just updated and i hate the new repair search! Please give me back the old.....:-) Some time i think the server is really slow, cant find alot of the specific part number i use ( 440 volt Capacitors for starters ) .

Pros: I attempted to use this service off of a referral and I had a few questions on how the system works and it took awhile to get any answer. So I went with Jobber because it was quicker response.

Cons: As I replied in the last question about the overall review, I was unhappy with the response time. When I have a service like this it needs to have quick response because my coutomers won't accept waiting

Pros: Helped our company get rid of paper tickets, it syncs up with quickbooks, and allows our technicians to collect (payments) while in the field.

Cons: There is not a notification (like a text message) option available to alert our technicians when a new service call had been entered for them.

Pros: Easy to use. Super simple changing things. I love the internal notes for privacy. It's an easy program to teach new staff. I love the auto populating feature from Quickbooks records.

Cons: It's a bit expensive. I don't like that if I make a mistake with pricing, I get charged for another ticket. I wish it has a more detailed billing, it seems as tho I get billed a lot, but there is no way to prove it....

Overall: Less handwritten tickets. Auto entry to Quickbooks, easier entries to customer files, the ability to keep techs informed. Ability to track parts on order...

I like a lot but a lot is to desired.

Pros: Ease of use. Can be operated quickly with little experience. Like the part finder if you know how to use it.

Cons: I hate when it wants to update while either writing notes or searching for a part. I wish there were tabs in my favorites for favorite filters, types of freon, or belts instead of looking over my favorites 3 or for times. I wish I could add a custom part or charge myself instead of having my office remake what I've already done just so they can send it back to me to add it on my favorites. All of the other techs said the same about updates. Add them to the home page when available. Frustrating. Finally inputting carrier numbers usually calls for 2 additional numbers or letters at the beginning of a part number. If typed in using the part number supplied from carrier it fails to find it. If those 2 first numbers or letters are left off when typing it in it will find it every time. I have found this only on carrier parts. Thank you for your help.

Pros: I most like this software to schedule work and take payments. My customers love that I can quote them repairs in seconds

Cons: The only gripe I have is that when I switch from the app to say look up a phone number or email which has the customers information I need to input into Coolfront. When I return to the app it reloads and any info I had already input is gone

Overall: Steamlined production and no paperwork

It sounded good, but ended up not being what we needed.

Pros: The price was good, we liked that the invoices fees could be rolled into our charges and, initially, we were thrilled that it would sync with Quickbooks and save data entry time in the office.

Cons: It would sync with Quickbooks, but not like we expected. We still had to edit every invoice so that the Product/Service field in Quickbooks reflected the items we needed reflected for reporting.

Pros: We love the ease of use! The whole site is very easy to navigate, and initial set up was a breeze! I especially like the repair look up search feature where almost anything I plug in will get me to the repair I need.

Cons: we'd like to be able to upload our current dispatching softwares's customer database. to use coolfront effectively we still have to maintain a separate crm system

Overall: Good flat rate pricing tool. Would be an awesome asset if we could store a little more customer info history/profile.

Easy to work with, great lessons from blog posts. Clients love display.

Pros: Client find easy to understand, makes pricing very easy. Makes user feel comfortable to have updated pricing on parts without having on regular basis. Pricing is fair and competitive.

Cons: Getting used to initial part look up due to all the options. Once you learn to mark favorites everything gets better.

Pros: Easy to learn. Easy to manage. Portability of invoicing to the job. Not as much unbilled work because of lost paperwork. Can be done from the field or home.

Cons: Archives too soon. We have to still keep a paper system to ensure the archived invoices don't get lost in space.

Pros: Easy to use. Usage cost is applied to each ticket. Data bases updated regularly. QB integration. Am really liking the recently added feature of "installs & quotes".

Cons: Some of our problems are due to slow internet I suspect. Don't like the automatic archiving of work orders. I want it put away when I deem it appropriate. Don't like the new search engine dynamics. Old one was better in my opinion.

Overall: Cost reduction overall of processing service related billing and customer tracking. Also reduction in preprinted forms. Repairs data base that is always up to date. Made is a more profitable service company due to uniform pricing and makes it easy for tech to price out job.

We have used Coolfront for a couple of years and it is easy to use

Pros: The overall functionality of the program is nice. It is pretty easy to find customers in the info of the program

Cons: Searching for parts can be difficult at times. Some common parts seem to be missing at times, so creating a new part on the job can be a pain at times.

Pros: It isn't complicated to use for my techs. The mobile app is easy. The customer must approve the repairs before work is done.

Cons: 1. Not enough spaces to enter my description and pricing (favorites).
2. Changes customer information randomly (we will change a phone number, then after saving it, it will revert back to what was previously automatically generated - addresses, names, etc.).
3. Expensive
4. Does not enter an invoice into quickbooks if there isn't an amount and when we do a service that is prepaid for then there isn't a dollar amount and it will not put it in my system so I am double inputing.
5. On the mobile app, every single time we use it, it constantly requests us to update, even if we just did the update.

Overall: It helped us integrate into a service based software for our techs to use in the field instead of using hand written invoices.

Coolfront is a great tool to use for scheduling our service calls.

Pros: Great selection of repairs items to use. Very easy training for our technicians. Works very well on phone or ipad for our technicians.

Cons: Finding previous call in archive. Filter system is touchy and has to be exact, can't be close. When scrolling if you click on call, then it goes all the way back to the beginning.

Overall: Invoicing and receipt right away for customers. Able to have customer signatures on the forms

QuickBooks is very easy to use. Like how it is made so simple.

Pros: I like that it is easy to use - made simple and no so complicated. I like how it pulls from QuickBooks and then links the invoicing back to QB.

Cons: I wish it would have more detailed scheduling - as in maps for routing technicians efficiently. Quicker synching to QB would be nice.

Pros: Acessability from any device with a connection .

Cons: Won't interface with Quickbooks existing database without loosing at a glance. The wasted space in middle of the admin home screen. Nothing useful is presented there.

Pros: Keeps up with all of my previous service calls, I can look back at what I've done in the past. This makes my life so much less stressful. I done have to worry about trying to remember everything I've done.

Cons: Nothing about this, week maybe the new search engine. It sometimes pulls up plumbing parts when looking for hvac items.

Pros: Glance back is a good feature. The ability to bill on site and email customers invoices/receipts. The data base is big

Cons: Has glitches with mobil app. Doesn't refresh easily, Hard to search history. Not being able to edit custom repairs. You have to delete and start over. Sometimes difficult to call in and get customer support immediately.

Have been using for 3 years now, very easy to use!! Don't know what we would do without it!

Pros: The newer search engine allows for a more controlled search of parts or repair and its availability off line.

Cons: I would like to see the next work orders less available until the current work order is filled out completely. It would help to prevent incomplete work orders or work orders not filed out.

Pros: I like having all my prices at the tip of my fingers. It's nice to be able to find exactly what I'm looking for when I'm pricing quotes for a job.

Cons: I HATE that every other week a new search database pops up. I like the one I'm using the new ones kinda stinks. My other biggest complaint is that sometimes while I'm typing it will reset and it says please wait for the install and then takes forever....

Overall: Makes my job alot easier when I have what I need

Pros: The ease of use and how the screens operate. The new search is better and having options to filter also is a plus. Being able to populate past customer information and having a history of their previous services would assist techs in the field.

Cons: There isn't enough parts listed for certain types of equipment and usually have to either pick a part close or more often than not create my own repair, sometimes the price needs adjusting as well. With the elderly or folks with vision glasses it is often stated that the grey writing is difficult to discern.

Pros: like how it syncs to quickbooks easily, and also it is pretty easy to set up and the prices are very competative

Able to use system off line is very important to us. Cellular service is not great in our area.

Cons: Would like to add more default email addresses. For example, when I send to customer I would also like accounting to get the invoice as well as myself ( Service Manager)
Parts Cart doesn't show up all the time so it quit thinking about it. When I view a techs work order I don't see Parts cart.

Pros: Up front pricing for my customers. It allows me to set my margin without employees being involved with cost of materials and markup. It has increased my profitability since implementing this software.

Cons: I've had a few complaints about the pricing. In some instances it does seem to be too much. I've had several complaints about the length of the invoice numbers. I've also received two complaints from a property management company; first the work order number stays a work order number on the ticket and does not change to an invoice number. This requires the staff to print the invoice and then write the work order number under the writing "Invoice" in order to process the invoice.a the second issue is they want me to email the invoice directly to the company that processes their AP, but the require the invoices in a PDF format. Can anything be done on these issues?

It's a nice program. Have been using it for a couple of years and have no real complaints.

Pros: Pro the software is usable in offline mode. The fact customer's are stored online and pay supporters are saved is excellent.
The ability to assign management duties to individuals controlling their level of interaction. Google calendar integration is great.

Cons: Cons, I do wish the navigation between screens was't so involved. A common menu through the app would make it easier as opposed to the back button. And currently it is only compatible with QuickBooks to synch with. A feature which I'm sure is nice but I don't use QuickBooks which makes my bookkeeping all manual. No ability to download invoices as spread sheet. Search feature is good but could be simplified. Dispatching can be a little confusing if more than 5 tech's. The app doesn't work well with some of our other office management software.

Overall: Easier usage. No storage for paper invoices.

It has really helped keep up our Maintenance Tracking

Pros: It calls, sends texts, sends emails to costumers up to 5 times. This same a lot of phone time for office personal. This also keeps something trying to reach customers when they just do not call you back.

Cons: Little bit of a learning curve but that is always to be expected. It kept calling some customers too much. I though that was ok but the customer did not.

Overall: No lost customers because we would give up on calling multiple times.

Great for start up companies. Love the flatmate pricing thats built in.

Pros: Flatrate pricing is built in to take away the guesswork on service call repairs. Great for start up companies!

Cons: Does not manage customer info well such as organizing for future maintenance follow ups and things of that nature. Also does not store customer unit info with an actual customer account.

Pros: A very extensive data base whit very good description of the different products an repairs, the ability of adding your own repair

Cons: The new serarch engine has made more difficult to find a Or search for a repair, for example Friday I was looking for ( replace evaporator coil) the program can't find it. Outside disconnect can't find it

Pros: Available in the cloud, so it's accessible anywhere. The software also works offline, for the most part. The best part is that the software is based on flat rate pricing, and that makes pricing and completing work orders fast.

Cons: Sometimes finding repairs in the database is a difficult task. Although the search function gets better over time, some repairs just don't seem to come up when searching for the logical keywords that you would first think to use.

Overall: Consistent pricing from customer to customer for similar repairs. Flat rate pricing also helps us to charge appropriate prices that are fair for both us and the customer.

Coolfront has simplified my invoicing tasks tremendously!

Pros: I like the fact I can see what my technicians are billing at all times. I can assist with their invoices remotely. Also customer history can be viewed from the field. Adjusting pricing is simple.

Cons: The data base can sometimes be a little cumbersome to search but Coolfront is constantly updating it. Also there needs to be a built in application to upload photos to the invoice file.

Overall: We have been able to price correctly to maximize profits. We are more organized. All tickets are legible and have the needed customer information. There is much more control over technician pricing, no more over or undercharging.

Easy to use! Helps me keep paperwork to a minimum.

Pros: The technicians are out on the job and they have the prices for the repairs there right infront of them. Its way easier for them and the customers.

Overall: Switching from time and material to flat right has taken the guessing out of it all. If there is a repair they will know the price before we even do it.

Pros: My techs can add pricing on the spot and my customer immediately gets to approve and get a receipt.

Cons: Difficulty finding repairs. Would love if the data base was broke down where if its a plumbing call, the technician only sees plumbing repairs and if it is a hvac repair, the technician only sees hvac repairs. Also, would like to be able to set different price points for plumbing vs. hvac. The plumbing quite often seems a little high for our area while the hvac is on target, but we can't differentiate rates or mark ups for each trade.

Until you get your customer list in the system, it can be a little time consuming.

Pros: Over all it is easy to use, less paperwork, And most of my customers like it. We have tested your pricing against our pricing and we feel is very competitive and in some areas has helped our company turn a little bit more profit without ripping off customers.

Cons: When searching for a part, I can put the exact part I want or exact description I want and still end up with things that do not match or have absolutely nothing to do with my search. When importing data, if someone calls I have had all my information deleted because I did not save, or if I don't save and go to my phone's homepage it deletes everything I put in

Overall: Once your customer database is in the system, it saves time. The program is easy to use.

Pros: Simple once you provide the needed information.
Lots of repair information is already loaded to include several OEM repairs (residential)

Cons: We have a very broad customer base and find it difficult to tailor pricing for some of our (larger) negotiated rate clientele.

Overall: Not many, as integration into our firm doesn't seem easy to do.

Pros: Ability to show customer price before work begins and invoice customers accurately and collect before leaving jobsite.

Cons: Some technicians do have problems getting all the task required for the job on the invoice. This is due mostly to inexperienced technicians. Hard to train employees on proper usage without using multiple invoices to accomplish training.

Pros: I really liked being able to know the price of most parts without having to call a supply house. It really sped up job completion and this allows me to do a few more jobs during the week.

Cons: Every now and then I'd have to manually add a repair that I couldn't seem to find. Also, I had to manually add refrigerant prices as my mark up on refrigerant is much higher than other parts.

Overall: Higher revenue, faster completion of jobs, higher customer satisfaction and being able to price repairs after hours.

Very pleased with the simplicity of the software.

Pros: Portrays professionalism to the customer, very up to date digital invoicing system - this is the future.

Cons: It does not have the capability of allowing you to use a custom invoice template. We have to manually list the system checks we do in the customer notes section of the invoice and this is time consuming. Program loads a little slow in the older Android smart phones. Data sync with Quickbooks software takes patience.

Overall: The flat rate repair data base just keeps getting better, with this software program we are set up to be profitable when we do service and repair work.

Pros: The constant updates for pricing and large inventory pre priced jobs. The customization area is well designed too.

Cons: Does not auto save customer notes or internal notes. I have lost many, many large paragraphs due to incoming phone call or text message or application I had to get access and lost them because I forgot to save the notes

Pros: As an owner operator of a heating and air conditioning 24hr service company I have very little time to sit in the office. CoolFront takes away the headache of time and material calculations. The database is so immense that you can find most any repair thinkable. We were recommended by a fellow owner operator, and now we recommend it to everyone we meet. Very happy with this software!

Overall: just like any new to you software it will take some getting used to before you are proficient. Once you spend some time and get your most common repairs saved to the favorites you will be hard-pressed to find a complaint.

Pros: The professional look. I like the flat rate pricing, it is just hard sometimes to match the exact part with what we are installing.

Cons: Sometimes abrupt changes are made without notice. For example, the PMA agreement now says "per year" after it, and ours is 3 years so I hope Coolfront can take that off for us.

Coolfront is really simple to use and show customers what repairs are needed and how much they cost.

Pros: It makes it much easier to build a quote for my customers so I can show them their charges before we start the job.

Cons: Sometimes it's a little difficult finding the correct item in your lists. It brings up items that don't relate to the information I input.

Overall: Ease of use for invoicing and showing the pricing to my customers.

Use it everyday, overall it¿s not a bad service but it can be better

Pros: Ability to create your own prices for items not listed.

Cons: The repair search tab is such an annoying mess since the most recent update. Unless you already know exactly the program name for something, you could become frustrated over the constant failed search results.

Pros: Ease of entry to product and availability. Cost has no major upfront risk and no contracts. great for one or two man shops, nice amount of tasks available and muti trade for same cost

Cons: can NOT edit labor, creator will NOT allow import to service management platforms materials used in tasks are becoming outdated . the add ons are nice but payzer is ripping us off big time at 3.1% overall assuming there is a affiliate reward system in place. parts cart did not operate correctly in trial

Pros: Very user friendly, the software is easy to use. It allows me to search for customers with no trouble at all.

Cons: Sometimes it doesn't. Link properly with Quickbooks. If the name is too long coolfront won't allow it to sync.

Overall: We can easily keep track of our customers. And our services we provide for our customers. It allows us to keep track of our prices too.

Pros: Consistent pricing throughout the service department, easy access to prior service records, customers respond well to pricing they can see. The process for getting customer approval is simple and easy, even for customers who have difficulty with adapting to technology.

Cons: The process for looking up certain repairs can be cumbersome. In starting to adapt to the new search system for repairs it seems that some of the old keywords and phrases which used to work for finding repairs are no longer specific enough to get to find what is needed, also the number of items which are available to look through when searching in a broad sense have been greatly reduced and this has created some problems when searching for general repairs.

Overall: Uniform pricing, and an easy, understandable process for customer approval of repairs.

The new search is rough but I'll learn

Pros: The ease of use for my employees. Having a history on each customer is a huge value. Also not having to keep up with useless paper is a huge feature.

Cons: Just hoping for more repairs to be added to the database. We are an HVAC company and some of the components we use are not specifically listed in the repair database.

Pros: Built in parts pricing is a hole lot easier, less to keep up with. Labor rates built in is definitely nice

Cons: The new search, guess I haven't gotten used to it yet. It's been a lot harder to get the right parts on the first try

Pros: Being able to schedule the techs & see how they are filling out the customers invoice. The ease of bringing up regular customers information when they call just by entering last name or address or even phone number.

Cons: Wish we could assign more than 1 tech to a job. Having a code or some type of description showing the type of service in the customer's profile without having to open the whole invoice to see what service we are doing.

Overall: Dispatching is more organized

Pros: Ease of use, billing, & tracking the progress of tickets from start to finish. The techs are spending less time writing up tickets and looking for repairs in the pricing book.
