Pros: Numbers is a delightfully designed and aesthetically pleasing piece of software. I used it to create a complicated budgeting document spanning across multiple pages. The spreadsheet worked well, and it was easy to track expenses by month and make changes.

I mostly use the software for much smaller projects, such as tracking medical expenses of various kinds. Numbers may be better considered a table-based software, rather than a spreadsheet program. You create various tables on a single page, and have basic formulas that can be applied within and across the tables.

The best feature of Numbers is how easy it is to make spreadsheets/tables look good. While Excel's look is bland as a standard, Numbers easily applies different formatting to tables to make them pleasing to the eye and great to include in reports or portfolios.

Cons: The biggest knock on Numbers is that it isn't Excel. It lacks some of the common-sense functionality and brute-force power of its competitor. Things that were intuitive or happening behind the scenes are more difficult to make work in Numbers. A prime example is trying to create nested functions. The parentheses and logic behind creating formulas is difficult to get exactly right. Trying to navigate to another cell often alters the formula, rather than moving location. Copying a formula to another location would perfectly update in Excel, but it becomes a bit more difficult in Numbers.

Then, Excel is just a beast. A co-worker built massive programs within Excel and frequently used powerful macros that simply could not be duplicated in Numbers. However, they are different programs and designed for different things.

Overall: Numbers is a quick and easy spreadsheet program to use within Apple. It makes clean, presentable reports for tracking and organizing data.

Pros: This product is free with any iPhone, iPad, or Mac. I love being able to create simple spreadsheets on my phone. You can collaborate with other users of the software live. It is effortless to create PDF and or Excel copies of the spreadsheets to share with users that do not use numbers or have minimal experience with spreadsheets. Apple devices are not required to use the software, anyone that has an iCloud account can use the software on from the website.

Cons: As an expert user of spreadsheets, I most likely design far more complex spreadsheets than the average user. That being said I found some complicated formulas are difficult to create on the iPhone. I discovered that many of my older colleagues were very hesitant, even to try to learn a new spreadsheet software. It would be nice to have some video quick reference guides made to Apple standards to help with earning the conversion of some of these possible new users.

Overall: It works on any device that can connect to the internet. It is free with an iCloud account. Collaboration works flawlessly, in my experience. I just love being able to create and work on spreadsheets from my phone while traveling.

Pros: There's no way to talk about Numbers without mentioning Excel. And visually, Numbers is better.

There's a much finer control over every single visual aspect of how your spreadsheet appears - from colors, borders, spacing, everything. Excel is UGLY and there is no getting around it. For aesthetically pleasing work, Numbers is a clear alternative.

Cons: NO PIVOT TABLES! This is a feature from

Excel that is missing.

No Visual Basic scripting that you'll see in Excel to give your sheets more interactive elements.

Overall: Overall, Numbers is a better spreadsheet program. The distinction of sheets with individual tables contained within and control over the design of those tables makes it much easier to create good-looking spreadsheets. You actually put something togheter from a design standpoint, rather than being the victim of an interface.

There are a few specific features of

Excel (pivot tables, VB scripting) that you don't get here, but for most users you'll end up with something that's much more visually striking and human readable.

Pros: You can't discuss spreadsheets without reference to Excel -- the leading product and the best thing Microsoft ever created. Numbers is not to be compared with Excel -- if you are a power user! Excel has too many features and functions. But, 'for light use' Numbers is terrific. Easy to use, lighter and faster and 'prettier' than excel. I do simple reports every week and I do them in Numbers because I can get a better-looking result, faster. ALso, number has that cool sliding cell format... so you can have some analysis complete but leave a slider (not a value) for one of the parameters and quickly demonstrate its effect on the final result. Really, all spreadsheeets should have this.

Cons: It just lacks the scale a power to do 'major' analysis. There are so many features in excel like vlookups, pivot, etc. that are not included. It's a spreadsheet for 90% of your use cases. Not all of them.

Pros: I like numbers sleek look and how it compliments the Apple OS. I use a MacBook air primarily at work and at home when needed for spreadsheets. It has the functions and formulas I require to run my spreadsheets, as well as the editing functions to make the excel file uniform and presentable. It is free on my Apple Iphone, which is great. It has a professional look and I can convert files to Microsoft excel as well if needed, and PDF too. Overall, this meets my day to day needs for running spreadsheets at work.

Cons: I am more used to using excel, and its advanced functions. This is a basic spreadsheet that can get the job done on a basic level. No issues with that. But if you need something more advanced to run pivot tables, v lookups, etc, look no further than excel.

Overall: It allows me to use spreadsheets on the go with my phone. It is free to download as well. It has all of the functions I need to finish my day to day tasks at work.

Pros: I am a Mac user who uses all of the iWork software suite. I love the way Numbers makes it easier to create multiple tables on one page and its constantly evolving the suites and the templates regularly. I am a maker of lists and goal sheets for important project milestones that keep me motivated. It helps me catalog all the creative projects that I have, from a complete music catalog, to a goal of how much money to raise for a certain cause. The different and colorful types of graphs are also useful for business presentations. The program also makes it easy to share your documents within the iWork community.

Cons: When the documents get big, it can slow the program down, but I have some really far-reaching goals, so it makes sense that the program would be a little slow to that.

Overall: It's really helped me with my organizational process and getting goals set. It's helped me see the goals I have and achieve them.

Pros: It's free, this is a good point, and the quality of the software is also great. So these are the two points which already make it an important competitor. Numbers also has almost all functions you know from Excel and integrates some features to explain them while you are typing them in. This is good for newcomers and students. The interface is good and friendly. It's not the typical office software interface. The software starts fast, this is really cool.

Cons: You can't work on macros which is a big plus if you used Excel by Microsoft and the handling of Numbers when you create charts - especially 3D charts - is not perfect. The file format is numbers, so it is likely that, if you import an xls-file, not everything will work as it should in Numbers. Maybe you can't open Numbers-files in Excel, too.

Overall: At the end of the day Numbers is the choice of the worker who is just wanting to add some data and who is not going into the deep with details or who wants to do some big data analysis. For this you better Excel which is worth the money. But students, office workers and entrepreneurs should take Numbers because it's for free and offers almost the same features which you get with Excel.

Pros: It is easy to use, there are many pre-designed templates available as well, allowing you to create budget sheets, calendars, menus, and more. It's versatile without being overwhelming. In addition, you can set up your own spreadsheets that are tailored to your needs.

Cons: There's nothing I don't like about numbers, but I would be interested in more pre-designed templates, especially for calendars.

Overall: I began numbers unsure if I would like it, because I had always used Excel programs for PC. When I moved to Mac, I switched to numbers and I haven't been disappointed! Numbers allows for all the actions I used in Excel, especially creating my own spreadsheets, tailored to my designs. The sheets are easy to design, allowing me to add and delete columns and rows quickly and easily; change font colors, and work multiple math tasks within the spreadsheets. I liked numbers so much I have added it to my phones and iPad! Now all my work on my Mac can be accessed quickly on my iPhone. This is a great piece of software and I highly recommend it!

Pros: Create simple, slick looking spreadsheets for all sorts of personal and business applications. I've found using numbers to be the simplest way to track finances for my business expenses. Also, sharing across the Apple economy makes using numbers the best way to track your spreadsheets on the go. I'm always prepared with Numbers! You can also export your spreadsheets as Excel documents and PDFs: so, sharing your spreadsheets with other people is simple as well.

Cons: Numbers does all the base things that other spreadsheet software (like Excel) can do, but if you need something more than basic calculations and exports: you may want to consider another piece of software. Performing complicated tasks is not what numbers is for.

Pros: I may be biased toward Mac. I have been an Apple fanatic for a decade now. In all fairness, I use both Microsoft and Apple products and software on a daily basis. Numbers is amazing because it can open Excel files and export as an Excel file, but it has the user-friendliness of an Apple software.

Cons: Numbers has a few less features as Microsft Excel. If you are a spreadsheet guru and looking to use the most advanced features available, then Numbers is not the best software for you. Excel would be best to use. But if you're like me and you like to ease-of-use that comes with Apple products and software, you will likely find Numbers to be the best fit.

Overall: The ability to create graphs, charts, formulas and work with Excel files in a more user-friendly software.

Pros: Numbers is very similar to the Windows competitor, so this was easy to learn. I started using the Windows program first and then moved to Apple products at work and had no trouble knowing the product. There are a few small variations with names of things and placement of tabs, but overall I have had a great experience with the functionality of this program. I use it for multi tab/page spreadsheets with formulas (functions) that are integrated between all of the tabs/pages. There is also no issue going between Mac and Windows because they can be exported to the correct file type to be opened and edited.

Cons: The only thing I have not been 100% satisfied about is how many templates there are. I think there could be more of a variety of the templates, but this is a very small thing in my opinion because I most of the time I am building my spreadsheets from scratch.

Pros: Numbers is a spreadsheet that provides different ways to present my records in different forms. I like its ability to make spreadsheets that incorporate tables and images that really make my files impressive. I was also amazed on how this spreadsheets ease my burden in collaborating and sharing spreadsheet files with my team on different apple devices. I must say that this software makes my spreadsheet files more interesting than ever. Numbers increased my productivity and it provides all the features I am looking for a perfect and functional spreadsheet software.

Cons: Hopefully, in the future Apple provides a way of connecting its software products with other vendor especially connecting to database.

Pros: Numbers is an app within Apple IOS software that runs on MAC, iPhone, and iPad devices. Numbers App is designed to create charts, graphs, and other pages that display data based on the users input. I specifically use numbers app for calculating savings over period of time. I have been using number app for a few years now and it is great. The main features I like about numbers app is creating all sorts of pages, charts, graphs, and much more, I can access numbers app from any apple device I am logged into such as I have a Mac and iPhone and I can view and make changes necessary. Numbers app has a lot to offer and its is free it come with the IOS software.

Cons: I wish numbers app would be available on other platforms such as windows, or android device.

Overall: one of the business problems I am able to resolve using Numbers app is that I can project how much I need to save to start my future business soon, Numbers app shows me how much to save per month to reach my goal of savings towards the end of the year. I highly recommend users to utilize Numbers app if they have Apple devices and its free does not hurt to use or even test it out.

Pros: Very easy to use and visually appealing, Numbers has a well-designed UI that should be very familiar to Mac users. Though a spreadsheet app, it allows you to easily create layouts and presentations with strong graphics and attractive templates.

Cons: Though probably more than enough for general business use, it lacks some of the features that power users may need. Formulas are a bit limited. The horizontal tab structure makes sheets with many tabs difficult to manage.

Overall: Numbers has been a key piece of software that we have used as we have grown our business for the last nine years - we have never felt a need to search for an alternative. We have used it for everything from reports to invoices to SOP manuals. The layout and print friendliness of Numbers makes it a real boon.

Pros: As a Mac user, I am quite used to using Numbers for pretty much anything. It has an easy to use interface, fun and colorful templates, clean and sharp presentation. It is a user friendly application that can be accessed through the computer and through the app. My favorite thing about Numbers is that my presentations looked their best with all of the Numbers templates.

Cons: There are two things that always get to me about Numbers. The first one is that, even though the app for mobile devices is great, it is a bit hard to manipulate and do many things through the app. The next and perhaps the most important is that if you are a frequent user of spreadsheets, Numbers is not the best.

Pros: I find this app fantastic to use, and works great for me as I use it everyday. You can set drop down boxes with different products or what ever you need . I have found it saves me a lot of time as it can be printed out or emailed directly to the office or a copy to the customer before you leave their house. I have used numbers for 5 years plus and only gets better with time. Great for my window blind company.

Cons: Can get a bit laggy when a software comes out but haven't had that problem recently. iOS 10 was the last time I had any real problem since then it has been pretty smooth.

Overall: My experience with numbers has been great overall and wouldn't do without it really does save me hours of work in general.

Pros: When combined with iCloud, this is easily my favourite Spreadsheet solution, simply due to the ease of use across all my Apple devices, and native integrations to all those devices.

Cons: The formulas are different from Excel, so when I am trying to look up how to do something, if they show the correct MSE example, it can sometimes be a little tricky to transform that into a workable Numbers formula. Some Excel formulas also simply don't exist in Numbers.

Overall: I use it daily to keep track of multiple data streams that involve multiple people. I enjoy the ease of use, without having any learned knowledge from an Excel/Numbers course, and the Help features are quite useful in not only explaining what a particular formula does but provide examples.

Pros: It is easy to figure out. I took an Excel class in Jr. High School, so I know that a spreadsheet can do some cool stuff, but I have long since forgotten how to set up all the formulas. I love numbers because everything is so searchable. The icons don't mystify me and I have rarely, if ever, had to look up a help article because I can usually figure it out. It is awesome!

Cons: Sometimes I get frustrated that I can't color the cells without re-clicking on the crayon box, but that is such a minor thing.

Overall: Numbers is where I track all my budgets, keep all my business growth indicators, and keep up on my business. I am so grateful for the intuitive nature of the software or I would feel in far over my head.

Pros: Creating sheets, editing, formatting, duplicating, it is all so easy to figure out and use! From owning a small home business to directing summer camps and being the president of our school's PTA, it is so important to stay organized. I literally could not survive without this program! When I switched from Excel to Numbers it made all the difference. This is not an intimidating program, and is so easy to use at whatever level you need.

Cons: The hints I like least probably have more to do with my lack of knowledge than anything, but I wish that writing formulas for cells was easier to figure out, or that there was more instruction in doing it.

Pros: First and foremost, I love that it works seamlessly with my Apple iPhone so that I can see my schedule for the day from anywhere. I also enjoy the fact that I can access Pages (and other Apple iCloud products) on my Windows PC. It is a simple spreadsheets tool that is easy to understand and use.

Cons: It's not quite as intuitive as its competitors Excel (Windows) and Sheets (Google). Also, I could not figure out how to change all row/column widths at one time without Googling, and I am typically pretty good with tech. Overall, the features on Pages are standard for spreadsheet programs, but it will get the job done for those who aren't looking for a lot of bells and whistles.

Overall: I have a simple program that helps me create my monthly calendar, which I can view easily on either my iPhone or Windows PC.

Pros: Unless you're an accountant or having to work with very big data, this tool will provide you with all the basic use you need. It creates charts, functions, formula and even transfer well to other apple products (like presentation, etc) A ton of time we use spreadsheet software just to open XLS files that partners or clients send us over (we're huge on cloud base software rather than offline apps), so this tool is perfect for quick previews (it opens up rather quick than the other heavy tool) The design and simple and pretty as well. If you ever need any quick chart, there's always beautiful templates and voila, your report is ready :)

Cons: None for me but may not be comprehensive and in-depth enough for users that work with big numbers and data. Plus, it's free, so what is there to complain?

Overall: Numbers has been great for me, light, quick, providing me with all the functions I need and works well with other Mac Apps without any complication.

Cons: The least I like about the software is that you wont be able to download or use it in a windows operating system. Also, if you are a windows user you'll be confused at first because the commands are different. But as you progress it becomes more easier.

Pros: I'm not a big fan of spreadsheets, but my day-to-day demands it from me. preparing call sheets, assembly sheets, filming plans and other documents for a shooting would not be possible without such a simple and classic tool as Numbers. For those of us who are Apple users some time ago, it is not a problem to adapt to their interface. It is much simpler and more complete than that of its main competitor.

Cons: It is true that they have simplified the use of formulas in the spreadsheets with the latest updates. However, I still seem one of the main losses of time when making a sheet.

I use numbers to track everything from budget and revenue to client information. I also love that I can update files across devices with iCloud.

Pros: As a OS based kind of app (designed to be integrated with the OS features) this application works seamlessly within MacOS and iOS, great cloud integration and easy to use, great combination of templates if you dont want to start from scratch, and does a great job converting MS Excel files and/or exporting to MS Excel. The app does what its supposed to do, and does it gracefully. It has a great explanation of Function uses and is great for collaborative work.

Cons: Coming from MS Excel it lacks some of the functionality in complex operations, and if the functionality is there is not that clear how to get to it, I haven't managed to combine formula results in between pages to add to a more complex formula.

Overall: It is great for quick calculations in time and effort to get visual representation of resouces used when and on what those efforts has been used (kind of Gantt charts) as well as to quick glance of some aditions on the fly on the phones.

Pros: We use Mac computers and Apple portable devices for everything and, in turn, use Numbers for all spreadsheet documents. In conjunction with iCloud, all docs are saved and sharable between devices. The interface is clean and intuitive (logical). Unlike Excel, there's very little learning curve. Lots of easy templates to jump in and start using right away.

Cons: The only "con" would be that the desktop version is a bit of a RAM hog. Maybe because Numbers tends to be rather visual and graphic, it tends to bog other graphic-heavy programs down slightly.

Pros: Sometimes it's hard to love the kind of work that involves spreadsheets. But numbers makes it possible. With the classic Apple polish on the interface and snappy responsiveness, it makes spreadsheets pleasant to work on. Exporting to Excel, CSV, and PDF means that it's truly cross-platform. You don't have to work with a bloated interface just because your colleagues do.

Cons: I wish the formula function was a little bit easier to use.

Overall: Much to the chagrin of my Excel-using colleagues, I've been using Numbers for years. I just enjoy working with it more than Excel.

Pros: I love this software. It offers a lot of the functionality of Microsofts Excel or Google Sheets for Apple products. One of the best things about it is being able to access it in the cloud no matter where I am.

Cons: If you are used to Excel, it does take a little getting used to before you will feel comfortable with it. A lot of it is similar to other Spreadsheet programs, but every once in a while you will need to hit the search engine to figure out something that you know how to do in a different spreadsheet program but isn't the same in Numbers.

Pros: If you are an Apple user with simple needs then Numbers is for you. You can build very beautiful spreadsheets very easily with Numbers. It is simple to use but yet powerful.

Cons: Don't kid yourself, this is not an Excel replacement if you are really using the power of Excel. There are numerous powerful functions that Excel does that numbers cannot do. I would like to see them close that gap more.

Overall: It is a great tool for those who live in the Apple ecosystem and need easy to use yet powerful spreadsheets. If you need very powerful tools or exchange sheets with non Apple then stick with Excel.

Pros: Numbers by Apple is a sexier, more intuitive product than it's competitor, Microsoft Excel. If you have an iPhone, iPad and/or Mac, it makes sharing documents across devices so easy. It has real-time team features so your entire team can collaborate on the same document. It's a must have for spreadsheets as you can insert pictures or media, there are templates for budgets, and it's easy to teach new users how to navigate it.

Cons: Most people use PC-based computers/systems in the workplace so you can't send the Numbers spreadsheets you create to people outside the Mac operating system or they aren't able to edit them. Not a software issue, but nonetheless a hassle when using this product.

Pros: I like how Numbers is easy to navigate and, for someone who is not fluent in the mathematical formulas, is easy to use to create spreadsheets that can calculate different accounts. I use it to keep track of my budget for the month, my expenses and incomes, and other freelancing tasks.

Cons: There isn't much negative to say about Numbers. Sometimes, the program runs a little slowly but that could be because of my old computer.

Overall: Overall I've had a very positive experience with using Numbers, and it is my spreadsheet software of choice that I use on a regular basis.

Pros: I owned a Macbook Pro and Numbers is my main spreadsheet. I use it to store important data like my employees, freelancers, sales and even tasks. It has a basic but useful functionalities. The formulas included are enough for my needs. It also has pre-designed templates that I can use if I want to make a quick spreadsheet.

Cons: If you are looking to do more complex calculations or functions, Numbers may not be for you. But for us, it is a great spreadsheet and it is more than enough for our needs.

Overall: Creating a spreadsheet is fast and easy.

Pros: It has the typical apple polish and visual finesse. It looks very nice and is very clean.

Cons: As a moderate Excel and Google sheets user, I find Numbers features hard to find and use. There's a certain consistency that the other two share in their toolbars and iconography that doesn't 100% map in Numbers and has made it very difficult to use. Where the other spreadsheets would display data similarly if imported across them, numbers interprets styling and columns completely differently and has made it too hard for me to parse my documents.

Overall: I only use Numbers if I have to because someone else has been using it. I can't open a file in Numbers that someone made in any other spreadsheet software and be able to quickly review the data because it compresses and portrays all styling completely differently. This is fine if working in a company where numbers is ONLY spreadsheet software but is very frustrating when everyone uses what they like best.

Pros: The similar functionality to Microsoft Excel.

The price compared to Microsoft Excel.

The ease of use.

Vast amount of templates built into Numbers so you don't have to go searching the internet for them.

Ability to have a single document which has multiple tables. A single page is able to have multiple charts and sub tables. Which excel can't do.

Cons: I wish there was a dark mode where the application would be black theme! Sometimes when I open excel sheets in Numbers its not exactly the same as would have been in Excel. Apple is getting better at fixing this but its not 100% yet. Number is lacking in some of the power features that excel has but a lot of people don't use them. Maybe only 5% of users would have issue with this. Numbers is more geared towards presentation of data instead of analysis. The lack of pivot tables.

Pros: - Clean interface, easy to use.

- For all the functionalities I use daily for accounting purpose, it does its job pretty well

- Preinstalled and Free, unlike Office on Windows, you have to get it somewhere

Cons: - Companies still like to use MS Excel or Google Docs. Wish it could be the main stream, but in the short term doesn't look like it's happening.

- Sometimes converting Excel or Google Docs will mess up with the format. Data is copied fine, but the styling or the formula will be lost

I've used Numbers intermittently over the last 5 years.

Pros: The best thing about Numbers, both interface-wise / user-experience wise and output-wise, is it's aesthetically pleasing. If you want to make numbers and data look cool and high tech or display data for a sexy presentation, Numbers is the way to go. You just can't have too complex of an assignment or it likely won't have capabilities that even come close to Microsoft Excel. For simpler projects and presentations, though, Numbers is the most modern and is the most design-heavy program to use when it comes to data charts, graphs, etc.

The only and I mean ONLY thing Google Sheets has over Numbers is Google Sheet projects can be logged into and accessed anywhere with an internet connection where Numbers documents are files. I might use Google Sheets for a simple list or table I need to make and share with someone (i.e. party planning, event planning, etc.) but if I'm using a program for data presentation I'll always pick Numbers.

Cons: I dislike that, feature-wise, it's astronomically sub-par vs. Microsoft Excel. There's no competition. Excel is so much more complex when it comes to features, formulas, updating numbers in charts and graphs automatically, you name it. I'm actually shocked that Apple hasn't cracked it yet since they've obviously nailed it when it comes to cell phones and computers and are giving PowerPoint a run for their money with Keynote. Numbers and Pages just don't cut it and Numbers will never be used by a finance person or data analyst until hundreds of more features are added and ease of use becomes more similar to Excel since so many are used to that user-experience.

Another huge issue is newer Numbers rollouts are incompatible with old Numbers documents. Even if new updates are rolled out and way more features are added or features are removed (only if problematic, though) a Numbers-made document should ALWAYS be able to open no matter what iteration of the program is out. Unless it's decades later. But 5 years later isn't acceptable.

Pros: Numbers is a good and reliable spreadsheets software. I find it at times more intuitive than other similar products (you can figure out how to do things by yourself, without having to navigate in tons of menus). It works pretty well for basic filtering and sorting contents, and you can use it to create nice looking graphics.

Cons: I wish I could work with different formats, but having to keep saving in several different formats each time is a little bit annoying. Like, sometimes I'm working on a spreadsheet originally created in another format, and if I hit save to continue working in my project, it will ask me to create a new file with their .numbers extension. And sometimes it will conflict with the other file, and you may end up losing some of the work. I wish it had better compatibility with other formats.

Overall: Data analysis.

Pros: I find Numbers to be extremely useful and convenient since I am able to open workbooks on my computer, or even out in the field on my iPad or iPhone and make quick adjustments as needed! The functions were translated to the various formats really well and are instantly learned if your familiar with the desktop version.

Cons: There have been instances on occasion when I needed to complete a task in Numbers and it was slightly more clicks than had I used Excel.

Pros: Easy to use spreadsheet and graph creation

Easy to use if you understand Apple software

Cons: Limited - I dont understand why Apple does not put mail merge function into either Numbers or Pages! I hate anything Microsoft and refuse to put Word on my Mac, but I get really frustrated that I can not easily make mailing labels.

Overall: I use numbers to create all kind of spreadsheets and databases to keep track of teams, events, and budgets for our church.

Pros: Numbers comes free with Mac Book Pro. It has all the functions of a quality data base program and spreadsheet. The help feature is easy to search and and use. Changes are saved automatically saving you from lost work during unanticapated shut downs.

Cons: Takes a little time to transition if you are an excel user. Understanding that changes to the table are made under the Table tab and not the general tool bar is the key to using it quickly and efficiently.

Pros: I like this this software is free and comes with your mac. It certainly is nice not the have to spend the money on Microsoft Office. It also functions very similarly to microsoft excel

Cons: I think Microsoft Office has a better menu system for finding functions that you need to use. If you want to do any nitty gritty detail work it's hard to find those options in the menu.

Pros: Numbers is for the most part more intuitive for me to use. I find that it also produces more visually appealing and compelling visualizations of the data. Numbers also has wonderful integration with the rest of the iWork Suite (Keynote, Pages) which has greatly improved my work flow when making presentations that include representations of data sets. The adaptability of numbers to function on my laptop, iPad and iPhone also is incredibly useful.

Cons: I do find that the more graphical approach to the formulas component within numbers to be a bit clunky at first in comparison to other spreadsheet software which present this in a slightly more barebones and straightforward manner, but there is a learning curve to functions regardless.

Overall: If you are an apple product user the seamless integration of Numbers and the stunning outputs make it a worthwhile investment.

Pros: Ever since getting my first Mac I have loved using Numbers. Not only is it clean and easy to use, it's easily as good as Excel if not better. You can use templates you find online or purchase and they integrate perfectly. It could be that I love Mac everything better, but I prefer Numbers.

Cons: I would say only because it's not the universal standard like Excel is, it's harder to open the file type on everything like you can with Excel.

Pros: I like that I can easily hide or show columns and rows, I can easily format text, cells, rows to make things obvious. I like that I can drag and drop a lot in Numbers - even columns. Sorting is a breeze as well.

Cons: Although it isn't required very often, sharing with non-Numbers users requires an extra step of exporting to a format they can use.

Overall: I use Numbers to create people groups info and the easy formatting/sorting options make things very efficient.

Cons: I have no problem using Numbers and like the auto fill features that seem to be exactly what I have not been able to use correctly (my fault?) on Excel. Excel reminds me of Photoshop with to many features that get in the way of the features I want to use.

Pros: Very sleek and professional looking templates. The software is very easy to use, beginner level friendly. Allows all types of numerical data to be easily stored and organized. Many commonly used features such as monthly budget templates, return on investment templates, employee scheduling templates and break-even analysis. Variety of graphs and charts that can be used to get a visual representation of numerical data.

Cons: Works great! If only this was offered on PC's as well!

Overall: Number's allows me to easily make invoices, that are professional looking when given to customers. Great for recording budget in terms of tracking all expenses carried out under a project, the budget templates provide visual graphs to get a better understanding in what segments the budget be being allocated the most, and how it can be re-allocated more effectively.

Pros: This is one of Apple's pre-installed software programs, but it acts as a great alternative to Excel if you don't have MS Office installed. It can do pretty much anything that Excel can do and offers intuitive ways to handle graphs, financials and tables differently. If you have MS office and you're working on iOS then you'll benefit from having access to both programs.

Cons: Features offered on the software program can be interpreted as advanced if you\re not totally familiar with the ins and outs. Because it's only available to iOS/Mac users it has limited exposure
