Pros: I like numbers because it comes free when you buy a new mac. It can do a lot of the things that other spreadsheet software can do.

Cons: I do not like the lack of features that Numbers has. It also isn't the most intuitive software out there.

Overall: I can run through large CSV's and get the data that I need out of them. I can also manipulate and view that data in different ways.

Great way to visually display numbers.

Pros: It is a very nice app to allow you to see exactly what you are trying to display. The colors are vibrant and charts are easy to read

Cons: It may seem like other apps can do this exact feature better, but this is a great way to be able to display what you need to at an affordable cost.

Pros: dynamic spreadsheets are mostly built by apple numbers and its free templates can easily be downloaded with beautiful pictures and features. Person budget template is my favorite, it has figures and analytics. Attendance templates are very easy user-friendly.

Cons: I have started using Mac a while ago so it's a little hard to say something about its cons, It is also different from Microsoft Excel, I have always used Excel so it would absolutely take some time to get used to it. Often times it crashes during work and gives me pretty hard time.

Pros: Apple products in apple computers are lighting fast, I rather use this than Microsoft Excel, I also love the design.

Cons: If you have to work everyday with other teams that are using Microsoft Excel is better to give up and use the same product, the same version and the same everything that they are using. Compatibility is good but not that good.

Overall: You don't need Microsoft Excel, Numbers is perfect for everyday use

Pros: Numbers provide all functionality needed for a spreadsheet and more, plus it is very clean and well designed

Cons: The downside is that although you can save an xlsx file it just doesn`t always look right when you open more complex spreadsheet in other operating systems like Windows.

Overall: I have all my finances in order using this tool, I also do many other operations using it. I think is a great tool and every Mac user should start using it

It's definitely more visually pleasing to me, and makes pretty charts.

Pros: Numbers has the ability to make a single document which contains multiple tables. A single page can contain multiple sub-tables or charts. For the sort of work I do, that's very useful.

Cons: Numbers are more geared to the presentation of data rather than the analysis of data. The most useful feature in Excel, to me, is the pivot table. Numbers can't do that. If, on the other hand, you need a set of charts for a Keynote preso

Pros: I like the accesibility between my Mac and iPhone. My numbers sheet will be saved in both my phone and my laptop for easy access whenever I need. I also like the visuals that numbers allows you. It creates really appealing sheets as opposed to Excel or Google Sheets

Cons: It is not as integration friendly as some of the other sheet softwares such as Excel and Google slides meaning that if you send your numbers sheet to a friend without a Mac, then they may have trouble opening it depending on the file type you sent and they will not be able to edit it as well which is something people need in order for collaboration

Pros: I like that this is compatible with all apple devices. All spreadsheets can be converted into Excel to then be used by others who do not have numbers. Numbers is an intuitive product that has many features useful in business management.

Cons: Compatibility is sometimes an issue. Excel documents can be opened in Numbers, however the conversion is not always 100% accurate. Excel cannot always open Numbers spreadsheets which makes this software hit or miss unless everyone you're working with uses numbers.

Pros: I like the out of the box templates (calendars, logs, schedules, etc.) available. I used many and others were great thought starters. I always enjoyed the ability to represent data on a graph easily. I believe this was a big advantage vs. MS Excel.

Cons: Understanding and using formulas is a bit tedious compared to MS Excel. Handling large amounts of data is also a bit difficult. These are minor issues for me, because being able to quickly graphically express data is such a timesaver.

Pros: I am so surprised at how easy Numbers is to use. As a Customer Support Specialist, we are required to report on our numbers every quarter and Numbers makes it so easy to display information in a professional manner. I always use the templates and remove what I don't need and I find that that works best for me. I have also built documents from scratch before and that was pretty simple too.

Cons: Sometimes when opening an excel document on Numbers, it doesn't display properly. Would just be nice if it converted over a little nicer, but not a deal breaker.

Pros: What I love most about numbers is that it's a blank canvas and gives you the ability to keep and track data exactly the way you want. It's clean, beautiful design keeps the most important data at the forefront and is far less rigid than excel, google sheets, or similar apps. I use numbers to track everything from budget and revenue to client information. I also love that I can update files across devices with iCloud.

Cons: It doesn't compare with google sheets which enables most of the same functionality, but works over the cloud. Also Excel or other spreadsheet software does not natively import numbers documents. You need to manually export to those formats. From owning a small home business to directing summer camps and being the president of our school's PTA, it is so important to stay organized. I literally could not survive without this program! When I switched from Excel to Numbers it made all the difference. This is not an intimidating program, and is so easy to use at whatever level you need.

Cons: The hints I like least probably have more to do with my lack of knowledge than anything, but I wish that writing formulas for cells was easier to figure out, or that there was more instruction in doing it.

Pros: Numbers is a delightfully designed and aesthetically pleasing piece of software. I used it to create a complicated budgeting document spanning across multiple pages. The spreadsheet worked well, and it was easy to track expenses by month and make changes.

I mostly use the software for much smaller projects, such as tracking medical expenses of various kinds. Numbers may be better considered a table-based software, rather than a spreadsheet program. You create various tables on a single page, and have basic formulas that can be applied within and across the tables.

The best feature of Numbers is how easy it is to make spreadsheets/tables look good. While Excel's look is bland as a standard, Numbers easily applies different formatting to tables to make them pleasing to the eye and great to include in reports or portfolios.

Cons: The biggest knock on Numbers is that it isn't Excel. It lacks some of the common-sense functionality and brute-force power of its competitor. Things that were intuitive or happening behind the scenes are more difficult to make work in Numbers. A prime example is trying to create nested functions. The parentheses and logic behind creating formulas is difficult to get exactly right. Trying to navigate to another cell often alters the formula, rather than moving location. Copying a formula to another location would perfectly update in Excel, but it becomes a bit more difficult in Numbers.

Then, Excel is just a beast. A co-worker built massive programs within Excel and frequently used powerful macros that simply could not be duplicated in Numbers. However, they are different programs and designed for different things.

Overall: Numbers is a quick and easy spreadsheet program to use within Apple. It makes clean, presentable reports for tracking and organizing data.

I don't use this app a lot, but it looks user friendly and a lot like having excel on my phone.

Pros: Apple's Numbers makes it easier to create beautiful looking spreadsheets and charts as compared to Microsoft's Excel. The "canvas" model that it's built upon is the driving reason for this. Numbers is also included with all new Macs and iOS devices, so there's no additional cost to use. Apple's iCloud offers the ability to pretty seamlessly work on a spreadsheet across multiple Mac or iOS devices.

Cons: There's much less functional "programming" capabilities built into Numbers than Excel has, so if you have very complex calculation needs, Excel is likely a better choice. Also, due to Numbers concept of a "Canvas", it's much less useful as a file format for transferring data from once source to another. Again, Excel is a much better option if you have a regular need to export/import data into a variety of other information systems.

Pros: This product is free with any iPhone, iPad, or Mac. I love being able to create simple spreadsheets on my phone. You can collaborate with other users of the software live. It is effortless to create PDF and or Excel copies of the spreadsheets to share with users that do not use numbers or have minimal experience with spreadsheets. Apple devices are not required to use the software, anyone that has an iCloud account can use the software on from the website.

Cons: As an expert user of spreadsheets, I most likely design far more complex spreadsheets than the average user. That being said I found some complicated formulas are difficult to create on the iPhone. I discovered that many of my older colleagues were very hesitant, even to try to learn a new spreadsheet software. It would be nice to have some video quick reference guides made to Apple standards to help with earning the conversion of some of these possible new users.

Overall: It works on any device that can connect to the internet. It is free with an iCloud account. Collaboration works flawlessly, in my experience. I just love being able to create and work on spreadsheets from my phone while traveling.

Pros: Far superior to its competitor in functionality and also ease of use. Love that it accepts Microsoft excel formatting and simply converts to numbers format. So easy to use.

Overall: As with any software program, I don't know how to use every feature but that's what the help menu is for.

Great alternative to Microsoft Excel, however, lacks a few features if you're a dedicated user.

Pros: It's easy to use, calculates everything as you'd expect, and the subtle use of colours throughout the software makes it a pleasure to use.

Cons: The location of the formula preview is counter-intuitive, it just doesn't make sense. And, if I double click to see the formula, it becomes confusing when prompt to me like a popup because it overlaps cells etc. This massively has to change.

Pros: Numbers has a really clean and simple user interface, something that Apple is known for. I also really like how it is compatible with Excel documents. Numbers also comes free with any Apple computer.

Cons: The export and import process that you need to go through for Excel documents is tedious. Apple should make it more streamlined.

Pros: Mobility: have used it exclusively on an iPad, allowing to take the work anywhere. The interface is simple, and in some cases, superior to Excel, allowing for ease of creating dropdown menus and choices lists.

Cons: Often recipients of spreadsheets need an Excel output, so the file then needs to be exported in a different format.

Overall: Ability to create spreadsheets using a mobile device, and quickly deploy to team members. For example, used this to create a location survey form for field use.

Pros: I personally like this better than Excel. I work on a MAC and this also opens smoothly and works without hiccups. I'm not a power using Excel type of person so this really suits my needs.

Cons: It doesn't always translate everything properly on export to Excel. Working in a mixed environment of PCs and MACs that can be an issue.

Numbers is Mac's answer to a great spreadsheet program.

Pros: It did exactly what I wanted. When switching to Mac I was aware of the lack of Microsoft Office. This program did more than compensate for not having Excel.

Cons: The only thing I disliked was the lack of available formatting toolbars. I was used to a different interface, so it took me a while to get used to.

Pros: If you need some sort of graph production software that is easy then you should use Numbers. Easy and straight forward.

Cons: It is not and will never be excel. If the aim is to replace Excel with an Apple product then this is not for you. Nothing can replace Excel.

Pros: I have numbers on my iPad and it's good to use on the go. Easy to email projects and access while out of the office the visual effects are great too

Cons: Some features are difficult to use on an iPad, it is easier with a keypad. Also I cannot turn off the 24 hour clock
