### "Numbers, the wonderful spreadsheet from Apple"

February 25, 2024

5.0

My overall experience is just wow! I highly recommend Numbers spreadsheet from Apple. The amazing this is that this application is available for free on Apple devices, and users can access it through the iCloud web applications as well.

Pros

I like the user-friendly interface with features for creating tables, charts and graphs, which makes my work so easy.

Cons

I love everything about Numbers, it supports collaboration, allowing multiple users to work on a spreadsheet simultaneously.

### "The (almost) perfect solution for spreadsheets"

April 30, 2024

5.0

Pros

It is an amazingly designed app on Apple’s platforms and integrates well inside and outside the organization with Apple Business Essentials / Business Manager.

Cons

The windows (web) app is lacking and dated. It seems like Apple wants you to just stick to using only their devices, but this reduces cross-platform collaboration.

### "GESTIONE DELLE SPESE? NUMBERS E' FONDAMENTALE. "

February 29, 2024

5.0

Pros

Cons

Nulla da segnalare. Il programma è davvero ben fatto.

### "The Best Spreadsheet Designer "

August 8, 2019

5.0

Well, I use Numbers on daily basis, often I open tables that contain year long data and entries, but never faced any sort of slow down while opening such huge tables or surfing through those numerous rows and columns. Numbers is a rock solid software. Plus now it has beautiful shapes and table features which helps making documents far more gorgeous and impressive to look at. Suddenly looking at endless spreadsheets are not dull anymore. Using Numbers has been a fantastic experience.

Pros

The best thing about Numbers is how intuitive it is to use, for different functions like table preparation, lengthy calculations, scheduling and more. The Apple made interface makes so much sense. Another cool thing about Numbers is that it comes with a huge library of ready made templates for various purposes and all can be customised very easily. Apple keeps adding new features quite often to this software and its companion softwares like Pages and Keynote. They all have the same design layout making it easier and a compact and uniform user experience. Plus one can collaborate with distant colleagues and work together, this is as fluid and smooth like other Apple software products. One will never regret coming from Microsoft Word or Google Docs, rather one will enjoy how butter smooth and robust Numbers is in what it does.

Cons

This is one of the few softwares, where its hard to find a disadvantage. A spreadsheet software as stable and solid as Number will surely meet all the requirements of the user performing tables and calculations. If anyone is using trackpad or Apple mouse, then it will take a few minutes to get used to how the software works with gestures, otherwise there are hardly any cons in this software.

### "A solid spreadsheet tool with missing features"

September 16, 2019

4.0

It was a solid and reliable piece of software, and you can't beat the low price of Free. Using it involved some gymnastics from time to time, dealing with the fact that Excel is still the dominant software in this space. I would recommend this, if you are simply looking to do some spreadsheets for yourself at home, and don't anticipate to need any crazy or specific features, and also don't plan on collaborating with a team of people who primarily use Excel.

Pros

This was my introduction to spreadsheets, instead of Excel, as it was built into the Mac ecosystem. As a first-time spreadsheet user, many many years ago, it was easy to use, intuitive and made sense. As opposed to Excel, which has a "canvas" that is 100% spreadsheet (the canvas is all cells and your data can go anywhere), Numbers operates on a "table" basis, with an infinite canvas. It allows you to place neat tables wherever you need, so you can lay two data-sets side by side. Numbers formulas are also quite intuitive, giving you handy tooltips and overlays about what each of the formulas means as you go through them. It handled complex boolean logic, advanced arithmetic, and conditional statements without a problem. However, some of the formulas were a little bit limited and were absolutely not fully featured compared to Excel. Integration within the Apple ecosystem was wonderful. Documents synced instantly to all my devices relying on iCloud, and changes were pushed quickly. The collaboration was great, although not necessarily fully developed.

Cons

The main con of this software is that it's not Excel. It sounds stupid, but in using both Numbers and Excel for separate purposes, the differences are clear. Having to transition around and around from the industry-standard Excel to Numbers, which operates just on a slightly different basis can be jarring. Numbers, at the time of writing, was also missing some handy features, such as solving, data analysis, and additional plugins. The exporting into Excel, for those people that don't use Mac, could result in some data being jumbled if using complicated Numbers-specific formulas or formats. The same is true for the other way, as most people won't send you a Numbers document, but an Excel document.

Alternatives considered

[Microsoft Excel](https://www.capterra.com/p/176574/Excel/)

Reason for choosing Numbers

It was free and included with my Mac. It also presented itself as a much more intuitive and beautiful user interface, as opposed to Excel, which, from first glance, appeared clunky and difficult to get started with.

### "Review on apple numbers"

June 19, 2023

5.0

Ultimately, your overall experience with Apple Numbers may vary depending on how you use it and what you expect from it. You may want to try it out for yourself and see if it meets your requirements.

Pros

Apple Numbers is a spreadsheet app that is part of the iWork suite along with Pages and Keynote. It is designed to be easy to use and compatible with iOS devices and web browsers. Some of the features that you might like about Apple Numbers are:It has a free-form canvas approach where you can place tables, charts, images, and other media anywhere on the document1.It supports hundreds of functions and allows you to perform complex calculations, filter data, and use pivot tables and smart categories to organize and summarize data1.It has interactive charting features that let you create dynamic and visually appealing charts with sliders2.It has redesigned forms that make it simple to create and customize a form from any table or template1.It has web-based collaboration features that let you work with others on the same spreadsheet in real time1.However, some of the drawbacks of Apple Numbers are:It has fewer functions than Microsoft Excel and may not be compatible with some advanced Excel features23.It is only available on Apple devices or through iCloud.com, which limits its reach and popularity23.It may not be suitable for users who prefer a more traditional table-based interface or who need more customisation options23.

Cons

Some of the things that you might hate about Apple Numbers are:- It has fewer functions than Microsoft Excel and may not be compatible with some advanced Excel features.- It is only available on Apple devices or through iCloud.com, which limits its reach and popularity.- It may not be suitable for users who prefer a more traditional table-based interface or who need more customisation options.- It has difficulty handling large sets of data and may slow down or crash when dealing with a lot of data.

### "Numbers is a powerful spreadsheet software that is easy to use and packed with features"

June 9, 2022

5.0

Pros

There are a number of reasons why Numbers is a great choice for handling data and creating calculations. First, it’s very easy to use thanks to its user-friendly interface. Second, it’s extremely versatile – it can handle everything from basic arithmetic to complex statistical analysis. Third, it integrates seamlessly with other Apple products like Keynote and Pages, making it ideal for creating presentations or reports. Finally, it’s available on both Mac and iOS devices, so you can access your data no matter where you are. Whether you’re a student, a business professional, or just someone who likes to stay organized, Numbers is a great choice.

Cons

I don't see any cons of using the Numbers software. I've been using it for a while now and it's helped me keep track of my finances and budget better than any other system I've tried.

### "My experience with apple numbers after I switched to macBook from Linux/Windows"

January 16, 2022

5.0

On the off chance that you're experiencing issues in picking either Numbers and Excel, pose yourself these inquiries: Is it for individual use or business? A:I am using it as on individual level Do you want progressed capacities? A:I am okay with that as of now Are diagrams and illustrations critical to your goal? A: Sometimes, However I can do a workaround for that right now Is your unit running on Windows or Mac? A:I use Mac and i like default bundled applications and in no mood to use any other apps

Pros

You can think about Numbers Excel's more energetic kin. Notwithstanding the way that they're associated, they really have various differentiations. Beautiful representations: Numbers is the best 'Rule' for people with imaginative hearts. Next to the ideal place of cooperation, their graphical depictions are just amazing. It takes after they zeroed in on the manner by which your data would look when they're diagrammed or outlined. Sensible for individual use: Numbers is exceptional for individual and non-business use.

Cons

Tab-less bookkeeping page: If you're from Excel and you're reviewing Numbers, you'll see Numbers a piece limiting. Not for any reason like Excel, Numbers doesn't get the opportunity of different sheets. What Numbers has rather is one immense material as their bookkeeping page. On the material, you can add data in tables and these tables may be showed up distinctively comparable to worksheets in Excel. Barely any wide cutoff focuses: As of now, Numbers simply has in excess of 200 cutoff focuses. Clearly, enduring that you're essentially including it for focal purposes, you may not really the partition. Taking everything into account, to consolidate Numbers for extra made tasks like turn tables, you'll clearly be perplexed. Only for Apple: Numbers is only prohibitive for Mac and Apple's PDAs. That suggests if your PC isn't running Mac, you can't present Numbers on it. Ghastly for colossal informative records: when in doubt, Apple's Numbers isn't sensible for business purposes. Not the slightest bit like Excel, Numbers encounters issues overseeing tremendous methodologies of data. It either limits on a very fundamental level or crashes while dealing with a goliath store of data.

### "Royal history numbers review"

October 20, 2023

5.0

My overall experience has been very good. I very much enjoy syncing with icloud so I can use my many devices. At the beginning I had a few problems with sending numbers to my colleagues that use windows but I quickly got over this. The biggest benefit I found was that easy to understand and make my tables.

Pros

I find that numbers is very easy to use and understand. If there are any problems there is customer service which is very helpful. Integration with other apps is streamline and straight. Desired features would be an Ai bot for when I forgot things or my layout is ugly

Cons

At times I forget where menu items or other things are and some are difficult to find so I think an Ai bot that can help me would be of benefit. I also find it a little hard to understand how to use the advance features - I don't use them so training videos online would be of great help also the help centre needs changing. Idont like it as I cant find what I am looking for and the advice is too limited.

My overall experience with numbers depend on my personal use and not on bid companies. if its for you your personal business your small business go ahead it for you it amazing to use.

Pros

I like the ecosystem between all apple products, so Numbers come on my first list because it gave me the power to share, customize, edit any type of data and then export it with any format I want.

Cons

the thing is that sometimes it comes to my head to think to switch to similar products like Excel, is that the majority of companies used to use Excel.

### "Must have for user of any platform!"

April 8, 2022

5.0

My overall experience with Apple Numbers is awesome. I will suggest this product to everyone. Like I have a iPad being used by whole family. Still I can control the sheet level privacy from this application. This locking feature was not seen by me anywhere. It helped me keeping data of company safe from personal stuff. That is why I mentioned, it is a must have app in you device.

Pros

What I literally love about this software is it's capability to onboard new users without a need of any walk-through, it is as simple as using a excel sheet. But compared to excel sheets, numbers got more reliable powers within. I used Numbers first time when I wanted to make entries of students, registering with demographic details and other noisy data. I love the way it automatically picked up the format of a column and suggested me the auto complete, I was typing time (in x Hours y Mins format), Numbers understood that and just asked me enter values and not units. For calculating BMI (Body Mass Index) also, it converted the whole column from centimetre to metre seamlessly. If I count the ways I love this product, this text-box will seem to be less. With a trusted brand comes the security too.

Cons

No such cons were discovered by me so far, I have completely loved this product from starting. It is a must have for any iPad user specially, it becomes so handy to handle the edits. But I still see that it lacks in some basic exporting features. Export and Share with live edit logs are heart of any version management sheets. But overall no dislikes about the quality.

### "I Love Numbers!"

April 16, 2020

5.0

Two years ago I opened a new Non-Profit School. Unlike all all of the other schools I had run, my board left the budgeting and financial tracking entirely in my hands. Up until now I had always been handed an excel document with dozens of sheets detailing the budget that I was supposed to run. Faced with having to create my own I sat down to my Mac knowing what it should look like, but not how to get there. In Excel I was frustrated with trying laboriously to figure out what each formula needed to be to get the result that I needed. I spent hours trying to arrange the numbers in a trackable fashion. Then I tried Numbers. Numbers had always been sitting there, right at the bottom of my MAC screen. It had never occurred to me to explore. Once I did I was thrilled. It is easy to use. Often seems to not only know what functions I will need, but be so intuitively driven that I find them without intending to look. I now use it for all of our information keeping and tracking; financial, enrollment, charts, calendars, menus and so much more. I actually get annoyed when someone sends me an excel doc and am in the habit of opening it in Numbers immediately.

Pros

Numbers is easy to use even for non accountants. I haven't been trained in spread sheet functions etc, but Number's functions seem to anticipate anything I might want to do and to make it work in a way that I can figure it out intuitively.

Cons

Oddly enough I would like to see more color options in the "fill section". I have figured out that I can design in graph form for projects using Numbers very nicely, except that unlike all of my other graphic and polishing software, Numbers' colors are not able to "match".

### "Apple Numbers for your Number Needs!"

September 5, 2023

I haven’t encountered any bad experiences so far with my use of this software. I like it and it helps me do my job well.

Pros

What I like about Numbers is that it is easy to use. The interface of the software is not overwhelming which can be easily navigated even by users who are not that tech-savvy. Really nice for Apple to have their own software that caters our need of data configuration and organizing numerical data.

Cons

What I do not like is that this software is only available for Apple devices. Most of my colleagues prefer other softwares even if it’s harder to navigate simply because they do not have Apple devices for them to use.

Excellent for the cost and works better than Google Sheets and is cheaper than MS Excel and can open excel spreadsheets in numbers so I love it.

Pros

### "Don't waste time, switch to competitors"

April 22, 2024

2.0

We started with a small team in the Apple ecosystem. Our processes were smooth. However, as soon as we welcomed more PC users and wanted to share more information with our clients and collaborators, it was a disaster.

Pros

Integration with iCloud is quite well thought out. Pricing included in the iCloud package as well. In an Apple ecosystem within a team, it's a viable solution.

Cons

Why rack your brains trying to retrieve Excel functions? Might as well switch to a competitor's package. Especially when new team members arrive with PCs. The situation is worse when transferring documents to clients and service providers: Layout issues are common.

### "Does the job for reviewing and simple revisions; but far away from complex work"

May 17, 2019

4.0

Overall, I find it very innovative for mobile platforms. Somehow it was required at least to view documents while you are on the go. Apple hardware is expensive; but at least numbers is free to use and gives you the basic tools just to make you create simple files, make some modifications or review them in general. I do prefer to using excel; but its still good to use numbers while I'm away from the office; yes it's features are limited; but still fun to use.

Pros

I think it's innovative for touchscreens. Interaction with the screen is good enough. For instance, you can add columns and rows by grabbing the end of a row and drag. You can tap and hold to make multi selection. It's also simplistic; so not cause your eyes to become tired after some time of usage. I think it's really useful foe simple daily type of documents; e.g. simple accounting tables, product lists, feature tables...As it's saved to cloud, as long as you have connection, you can continue from where you've left.

Cons

If you're using mobile app; I don't think the interface is good enough. Many functions such as hiding columns, removing duplicates or selective highlighting are limited for iPhone or iPad versions. Another issue is that low compatibility with excel files or previous version of numbers files. Especially, if you try to import complex excel files, then definitely you'll have an issue. Another issue is that if you don't have high speed internet connection, it can take some time to import files from cloud. Last of all, I personally find it difficult to work on iPad or iPhone screen. May be we got used to computers too much...However it still works for simple documents; like lists or tables.

### "Great excel substitute "

December 3, 2019

5.0

Overall my experience with Numbers has been great. It serves my needs and I like that it's integrated into the Mac. I use it daily and it's great that it synchs across devices. It saves me from having to interact with Microsoft too much.

Pros

I don't do anything crazy with spreadsheets, I find numbers to do what I need it to. I track clients and prospects, how many hours I'm working, etc. I also use Numbers as a checklist. I really like the templates that it offers. I've used the event planning one and the food journal templates. It's a really nice design (thanks Apple) and it's really nice that it comes with my computer rather than having to buy a separate software package.

Cons

I've had some trouble opening it on my phone, but I think that's just a general software update issue. I'm hoping in the next release, it will be fixed. I haven't tried using pivot tables or anything like that (hopefully I'll never have to!). I think it's good for everyday use rather than trying to recreate ridiculous models using excel. It would be good if it was offered to non-Mac users so I wouldn't have to buy MS Excel to send docs to my clients, but this isn't a huge deal since they can open Numbers in Excel.

### "It's like Accounting for Poets"

October 20, 2022

Pros

The ability to customize the look of my data, add more tables and charts to a single page, and still have all the spreadsheet progam-ability makes Numbers my hands-down favorite spreadsheet program. Plain spreadsheets are OK, but for my business (and my visual brain) being able to easily customize the data is critical. Colors, fonts, images, sorting and organizing data is all incredibly straightforward. We have a business roll-up page that collects daily data from our online store, displays trends and highlights order fulfillment. Being able to set up that personalized dashboard (for a non-tech person) was easier than I thought. A little help from a Numbers forum helped with the formula and we were set.

Cons

I'd love to be able to connect to Keynote to export/import data and images across both programs.

### "A totally different way of thinking about spreadsheets "

September 7, 2021

4.0

Overall, numbers is very good, when used for what it is strong at, which is getting numerical table data onto a page. While it can be used to manage huge tables of data and run complex formulae it is clearly not as powerful as Excel.

Pros

Numbers works in the page layout view by default, and is totally geared towards using it for creating documents, rather than analysing huge tables of data. It is great for producing reports, invoices, quotations etc., which are all things that people use excel for, but for which it is not ideally suited. Numbers produces very good looking spreadsheets and charts.

Cons

Compared to excel, numbers is very slim on power user features. Don’t expect features such as macros or connections to external data sources e.g. SQL servers. All formulae work as you would expect and I’ve not found any missing yet that I would use in excel, including some relatively obscure ones.
