I have been using pro presenter for years and love the program. Pros I love the ease of it. It is very user friendly and works well with our set up at our church. We use it weekly for our services and youth stuff, as well on retreats, etc. The remote feature is great and we use consistently due to the way our set up is for services. The integration with planning center is a favorite aspect as well. Cons Sometimes it is overwhelming for a single computer. Meaning it can only be the only program on the computer and/or the only program running. If other programs are running at the same time it tends to bog it down or freeze up the computer. Running multiple displays through 1 computer can sometimes freeze it up as well. Pros Our church loves this software when it comes to using for praise and worship. Musicians and singers have so many tools to help them during praise and worship Cons To be honest, it’s very rare but the only thing I have had a problem with was random crashes, otherwise a solid software. Pros the ease of use - I can train some one to use it in 5 minutes. I really like the organizational side of PP. Very easy to make sets for your songs or graphics and any other media you'd use during the service. Cons I have asked for dual bible display in the course of four years and still no feature like a competitor has. I have also asked two or three times for Romanian translation to be added but at no avail. Many of our congregation attendees have asked for that. We have older generation attendees who don't know English all that well and it would be just fair for them to be able to read of the screen and the speaker reads a bible passage. I also like it's ease of integration with song select - makes entering songs so much simpler Cons When you play a video in ProPresenter, if you have audio running, like an MP3 you forgot to stop - it will play the video, but also let the MP3 run on. Pros ProPresenter is easy to use and is a platform that we rely on for our presentations. As a Church, we value doing our best work, and ProPresenter allows us the flexibility to create and project our presentations easily and seamlessly. Cons I would like to see compatibility with programs such as PowerPoint and Keynote, since some of our contributors aren't up to speed with providing us the jpeg format. But I get it, it's not hard for us to convert, but it's one more step. Reason for choosing ProPresenter So highly rated in the marketplace. It is such an easy program to use Pros The software is easy to use. There is multiple instruction videos available to figure out problems or to find the shortcuts. It is easy to do your own design work or import someone else's work. Cons I haven't found a feature on this software that I haven't liked. There have been veery little times to be upset. Pros While the system has the bells and whistles for the media crazed tech it also is easy enough for a volunteer to just jump in and run a show. On the fly changes are also easy. Cons Not all "Guest speakers" stuff is plug and play even powerpoint has a few hiccups. Theres just something about the search part in song storage that isn't quite right either. Put in a title and 50 other choices show up first. In less than an hour you can have even danced features setup. There is no presentation software that does as much, with as much simplicity of operation and reliability. In my opinion, it's the best presentation software out there. There are always a few things left to be desired, but overall it's great. It takes a learning curve to understand the nuances of importing and editing, but once all of that is in, it's very easy to operate. Just wish Renewed Vision had better support than a forum. Pros Once everything is set up, it really is very easy for a volunteer to control. Cons Virtually no customer support, especially when new updates roll out. I'm stuck to visiting the forum and searching endlessly until I maybe find a solution. It'd be nice to just get in touch with someone who can work through the problem one on one. We'd love for feature releases to be done more regularly though. Pros I love the versatility of Pro Presenter. I can make it do nearly anything I need it to these days. Cons There hasn't been a substantial feature update in quite some time. I'm ready for the next update. We still have some buggy issues like syncing with Pro Video Player 3, library items automatically syncing up to planning center, and other advanced things that could be improved. We use it for church services and it allows for automation, integration, and customization. It has always been reliable​ and adaptable to whatever presentation environment in which I need to use it. Love it. Pros ProPresenter has been the industry leader for years and with good reason. For the perfect combination of ease of use and a huge variety of features,​ it can't be beaten. Whether you are using it in a small venue or on a production of massive scale, ProPresenter is the right tool to get the job of presentation on the screen. Simply the best.​ Cons There is a learning curve with ProPresenter (but that's true of any new software). Pros So, on the main screen, it helps you differentiate between the songs, sermon, and announcements in a way that a layperson can easily maneuver it. The learning curve is short in ProPresenter. the best thing is it lets you add changes from different users over the air in real-time and that helps with last-minute changes during church service (because you know Pastors :/). Cons Sometimes, the changes that are sent out by the users may not always sync up the reason could be your internet connection or sometimes a software update by ProPresenter may break things. The thing problem may sometimes be when your worship team, pastor, and connections team have all worked separately on their parts and the fonts and colors are mismatched which makes the tech team work harder. So if there were an option in the future updates to make it more streamlined, it would be appreciated. Review Source JC Jon C. We really like all of the wonderful features and the motion slides. Pros I like the ease of use and the option/return function to begin a new slide when creating slides. There are so many useful and user-friendly functions that make working in ProPresenter a breeze. The teaching videos are also very concise and helpful. Cons Type doesn't seem to stay in memory very long. If I go to another function and then back to paste, I have to copy and paste again. Reason for choosing ProPresenter It was highly recommended. NextGen Pastor Religious Institutions Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Best Presentation Software" February 6, 2020 5.0 We have streamlined our presentation for our weekly services, as well as classes, seminars, and more. This has allowed us to create effective and engaging on screen content without fear that it won't work. Pros The ability to create, edit, and manage files, playlists, and images is incredible. It is a simple one stop solution for all your presentation needs. I love being able to quickly add and take away from a playlist (presentation) as well as edit on the fly. Cons The biggest (only) fault with this software is it's communication (or lack there of) with Power Point. It would be incredible if someday, while importing powerpoint presentations, it would import all of the transitions and individual elements. As of now it just takes each slide out as a jpg file. It is reliable and effective and a display product. It is robust with features but simple to use. Cons Propresenter requires a robust computer setup to work glitchfree. The integration with planning center online is great and the customer support has always been most helpful and timely responses as well. Cons Just like with any software and integrating new technology there from time to time has been little glitches that are worked out in updates. I can honestly say though after using propresenter for 13+ years in ministry I have never had anything that prevented or distracted the worship service from going on using it. Review Source Robin C.
