At a glance view of payroll expenses. Timely tax filing done for me. Pros I am saving at least $40-$50 a month with this product and I'm also saving a lot of time as there is a built in time card system with our iPadsThat does all the calculations for me when I import it and my taxes are paid on my behalf I couldn't be happier Cons So far I have absolutely no problems with the software. I also like how it keeps all the pay stubs online so you can easily download them for any needs. Digital time cards were a surprisingly useful addition. Customer Support was always there to help, even after business hours. Cons There are no cons that come to mind when I consider Square Payroll software. I would still be using the software today if I were still the head of Accounts Payable. It is easy to teach employees how to add new products and how to add modifiers. Cons It has a lot of glitches, especially with our iPads and the updates that get introduced by Apple. Cons The set up is pretty intensive and I’ve been using it since they started up there was some bugs they had to work out in the beginning but as of now I have had no problems since then. Cons At this point we have not used the payroll software long enough (just over a month) that anything has been an issue. We are happy with everything so far. I also like that my employees were able to log in and provider their bank info and preferences for being paid. Cons What I like least about Square Payroll is when I accidentally make an error and forget to run my payroll before the due date. I love that i get an email a couple days before the payroll is to be withdrawn from my account. I also love that the payroll taxes are paid automatically which takes one more task off my plate. Also, the on phone support is always very helpful. Pros Ease in processing the weekly payroll, and the email and text message reminder is very helpful. Keeps me on track in getting payroll processed timely. Cons Setting up the account was a little difficult. I love the timecard importing the most. Cons I don't like the cutoff time to process the payroll. Mondays are our off days and its very hard to run payroll Monday to catch Friday. It is easy to use and saves space for companies and restaurants on the counters. I also really enjoy this project because the squares are aesthetically pleasing and look next gen. Cons Sometimes the squares are hooked up to the tablet and the only way to use it is for the store to hand you the tablet. President Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Terrible NO customer service" February 2, 2017 1.0 I decided to sign up. The customer support staff answered my initial questions then after a few weeks told me to contact the helpdesk. I understood this and did try to contact the helpdesk. I needed to do a manual paycheck and the system would not do it. I tried to use the helpdesk and it said you needed a code (Reminded me of the bank commercial with the barcode on the person's head). I had no idea what my code was. The website the message said to go to did not help. I left a voice mail for her in the morning which was not returned. I sent her an email which was not returned. I sent an email for help. No response today. I can't tell you how frustrating is is to have no phone number and a broken system and not being able to pay an employee. Get a real payroll company. Stay away for Square. Cheap that does not work is no help. I value my time much more than the few dollars saved.
