June 25, 2018 5.0 Pros The guided steps for uploading employee's into the system, inputting their weekly hours, tips, etc and the final review and precise summary is all clean, user-friendly. Major pluses for a necessary weekly task on any admin's list. Cons For the size of our business, there are no real cons to the software that we've encountered to date. Hope in the future the direct deposit can be done a little quicker. credit card processes work great Pros It is very user friendlly. Love being able to do electronic time cards. Pros The weekly reminders through email to run payroll. I like how easy it is to set up each employee through payroll. Cons I do not like That I can't pull up the year to date of each employee. Payroll is just one more but this one is meaningful as it's what my employee use for time-cards, so it really has improved my work flow. Cons We'd like to see further integration with Square register, pulling in tips which we pay out in cash would be on the top of that list. Cons I like least that you must obtain a customer code to call Square for customer support. It adds an additional step to call for help and it would be easier if I could simply call without a code. Pros Ease of use with employee integration, timecards and tax payments. Integrated Workers Comp with AP Intego is nice too. I love how you can run reports to compare with sales. Cons The fact that we pay for employee management AND payroll. They should be integrated for the price of Payroll. Cons i have had a couple letters from the IRS saying that they weren't sure if i had properly paid my payroll taxes, but they were crediting my account as if i did pay it properly, which was confusing. I will continue to refer all of my small business clients. Pros I really appreciate how easy it was to get started and to use the payroll feature. Cons There needs to be more instruction on how to input time. For example, it took us forever to figure out that my staff needed to download an app to log their time. December 18, 2017 4.0 Pros I like how easy and reliable it was to set up direct deposit for our contractors. Even if direct deposit was not available, we were still able to print checks directly from Square Payroll instead of waiting for checks to arrive from ADP. I am looking into Square for Employees versus ADP services. Cons The speed of direct deposit is slow and takes about 5 business days. I had to record payroll in the beginning of the week (Monday) through Square for contractors to receive their money at the end of the week (Friday). ADP on the other hand can record payroll in the middle of the week (Wednesday) and direct deposit will be received at the start of Friday. Cons not a lot of cons... wish it was cheaper but its pretty much in line with most other. it would be nice if I could figure out how to auto send pay stubs though when writing checks. December 6, 2017 5.0 Pros What I like about this software is the ease of use. You can log on easily and submit your numbers in very little time. Reminder emails are helpful to remember when to file. All taxes are done without a thought. Cons The only problem I had with the software was in the beginning. I thought I was told the workers compensation coverage was included. I was under the assumption that was taken care of. I live in NY, where labor laws are strict and very fortunately, I didn't payout payroll enough the first quarter to warrant a penalty.
